  1. I am enjoying all the posts (especially the ones with the menus from the main dining room and the Lido). What a huge selection - I am really looking forward to our 3 weeks on the Rotterdam in November. Love all the food choices. Thank you for posting all this stuff - much appreciated. Wendy
  2. Then let him worry about it and not you!!! He can be stubborn all he likes.
  3. We will be on the Rotterdam for 3 weeks in the Caribbean ports. We will need to call home regularly and wonder what is the best way to do that. Can we get some kind of plan with our Bell cell phones? We have about 250 minutes of internet on the ship included. Any suggestions?
  4. I think we are on the same cruise as you. With our booking they had the option to look at all the excursions at all the ports offered by HAL. There are lots of choices at all the ports. Maybe you have seen them but if not, you could check it out.
  5. I wish I could say the answer is for sure but I seem to remember that you can order from the dining room menu (lunch or dinner) for room service. Hope someone can confirm this!! (It might just have been passengers who were quarantined and they were able to order anything from the dining room and have it delivered.)
  6. I travel with a Travelscoot and they fold down and can be put into any car trunk i.e., taxis etc. It only weighs about 30 pounds and I can lift it myself. It fits underneath the tour buses easily as well and the bus driver always put it in there for me or my husband does. I can walk up the stairs on the bus so that's not a problem. There are many scooters that are not that heavy so some can fit into vans and SUVs etc.
  7. I just got a new charger for my Travelscoot because the one that came with it (about one year ago) was faulty. Travelscoot sent me a new one because it was under the 2 year warranty. Your problem might be the new charger? ( you should contact the people who sold it to you and see what they can suggest to try to figure out the problem.)
  8. Thanks so much for the pictures and description. I will make some notes and see what I can arrange for our cruise. I can see from this picture that it's quite a hike to the Falls and my scooter would be awkward on that pathway with lots of people around. Its also not good on gravel so I will be sure to bring my binoculars with me!
  9. I got mixed up and answered BtIMMER post and now realize it was your post. Could you have a look at what I asked him and reply please? Thanks.
  10. Just to be clear. If we were in a car we could see some of the falls from the lower parking lot - Correct? My scooter folds up so I can put it in the trunk of any car. I would love to see these falls so I would get a private car or taxi if you think I would get to see the falls from the pathway that is not too steep etc. (Would I have to go on the short steep section you mention to see the falls?) Thanks for the information - much appreciated.
  11. The PM feature is not working. Wonder if you would mind sending me an e-mail instead. I have a couple of questions about the lower parking lot. My e-mail is wendybob8 at gmaildot com. Thanks.
  12. We will be there next Spring on the NCL Dawn. I have a small mobility scooter and I wonder if I would be able to go where this path is with the thundering Falls. I love waterfalls and hope to be able to go to that spot. Can you tell me the name of it please? The last picture of 6 posted from yesterday. Thanks.
  13. My husband loves the bread pudding from the buffet and we both really enjoy the salads in the Lido (you get to pick what you want in your large salad bowl). Great choices and we ended up losing weight by eating from that salad bar on many days. We are looking forward to it on the Rotterdam in November.
  14. I so enjoyed reading your positive review and your great sense of humour. So nice to read about someone who appreciated how hard the HAL staff work to please the passengers and that you passed on your comments to those in charge. It means so much to the staff and great that you took the time to do it. We have cruised hundreds of days with HAL and our most disappointing cruise was the Alaska cruise. We did not see much in terms of glaciers and thought most of the ports looked the same and we didn't care for any of the shops we saw in the ports. To each his own I guess. Thanks again for taking the time to make all those posts that were so enjoyable to read.
