  1. There are two other shopping cart handles still sailing…former Golden and Star sailing for P&O - Australia. EM
  2. Today we have only one transit, a small expedition type ship, World Voyager (Mystic Cruises, Nicky cruises). But the reason for the picture from the Miraflores Locks cam is the two ‘ferries’ also in the lock. I believe these are two of a number of vessels used in the locks tours. The smaller one on the right (starboard) is Pacific Queen. The other is Tuira ll. I know there is a Tuira lll and a number of others that do not show AIS other than ‘passenger’.
  3. Attempt at your own risk. It has been reported here that any attempts to change anything can cause chaos with your booking. EM
  4. Okay, I have one cruise on Armonia, so here is my take. She is a lot smaller. Not a problem for me. She does not have the bells & whistles. There are lots of lounges for sitting, relaxing, conversing. That is intentional. All of this class were lengthened. The only cabins that originally had balconies are the suites. All of the other balconies were tacked onto the outside of OV cabins, just like Carnival did to the Fantasy class. All of the inside, OV, and balcony cabins (other than suites) are the same size. I can’t pinpoint exactly where the joinings are for the section inserted, but I think the connections to the vent system were not perfect. We had the first cabin after the balconies, 9225, and it was excessively humid. Such that any papers left in the cabin became limp. Pick it up and it drapes over your hand. It was also chilly, but when the temp was raised, it became even more humid. When we left the cabin and walked forward, it was like moving from one climatic zone to another. The MDR was weird. There was a forward and an aft portion, with elevator coming down in the middle. And another elevator to the aft, so there was a constant stream of people through during dinner. We did enjoy our cruise, which was lengthened from 7 - 9 days by a hurricane. EM
  5. You might also do some research on the Alaska board, under Ports of Call. EM
  6. It may be obsolete but it works better than my iPad 7, probably because it has four times the storage. I’ll replace the iPad before the mini. EM
  7. If you check deckplans, you will find few HC cabins that accommodate 3. And if a HC cabin were to be available, chances are it would be an inside. EM
  8. I don’t usually visit the web on my iPad mini4 but I am on now without problems. Running iOS 15.7.2. EM
  9. Again…the second thread is richwmn goes around the world in a daze… in post #239,240 he describes his tour, and in post #250 he gives the email for the tour organizer. EM
  10. On the world cruise HAL is reporting extra charge for second tail, don’t remember, it I think under $10. EM
  11. To add: go to the HAL thread by The Inside Cabin. He describes his tour in post #125 with a link to the FB page of the organizer. EM
  12. What country are you citizen of? What country is your passport from? If you are an American citizen, your Certificate of American born abroad should do to prove citizenship. Along with government issued photo ID. EM
  13. Go to the HAL board. There are four people doing live threads from the world cruise. One of them had a private tour and he did say who the guide was, although he didn’t link it or come here to post as I requested. It’s not on the thread of Bill & Maryann. EM
  14. Looking at the deck plan, it looks to me as if it is a passage from one corridor to the other, and that those sideways inside cabins may open onto it. EM
  15. We have a wonderful board here for Alaska, under Ports of Call. Head on over there and see what folks there recommend. EM
  16. I would be concerned because of the white area between those cabins, probably a service area. There are cabins above, and part of the galley below. EM
  17. It’s been out for several weeks. Mine is for points, not cash back. EM
  18. Is this your casino offer, or your husband’s? The person whose rate you booked must sail, or they may reward you. EM
  19. If you are considering Princess, they absolutely require a passport for a child traveling with only one adult. EM
  20. Okay, my favorite Princess cruise was my first, Royal Princess 1999, Buenos Aires to Manaus. But the second was very different but just as good: inaugural of Star Princess, 2002, 26 days Singapore to LA. My favorite land trip was in 2012 with my sister, 33 days unscripted except to find cemeteries where our grandparents are buried, then head to the Grand Canyon and many national parks. Tried to stay off the interstates, stay in non chain motels, not eat in chain restaurants. Cross country from PA to Utah and back. I think 9 Princess cruises, platinum. EM
  21. Ahhh…now I understand. This was not a cruise, but a land trip involving flights, etc. I don’t read every board here, but I haven’t see anything about cruises that stop in Peru…. EM
  22. Actually, the in hull balcony was the original balcony design. Many older ships had them, maybe some of the oldest P&O-AUS ships may have them. Pacific Explorer. P&O-UK Aurora. EM
  23. It might help to know what ship and cruise line…and were they going straight from Argentina to Peru and bypassing Chile? Or maybe Chile is the problem?
  24. Incidentally, after some fun on the Crystal board, the original thread got moved again…to the Costa board…
