  1. I don’t have a cgm but my diabetes support program supplies my glucose monitor and it syncs to my phone via Bluetooth. But the results are sent on to Livongo and they contact me to see if I am okay when my readings are significantly off. However when I am out of cellular range (on the ship) the results ar e stored until I am back in range. I seldom look at the results on the phone, but I’ll be cruising next week on two different ships/lines and I’ll be sure to check it out. EM
  2. I’m not understanding what you are asking. Are you already booked as a solo? If so, adding your friend would only add fees and taxes. They would not split the fare so he pays half…that would be up to you to get the money from him. EM
  3. I feel no need to eat at the specialty restaurants because I get more food that I can comfortably eat in the MDR and I would be paying for even more food than I could eat. I have never used my Diamond dinner. In addition, I already look upon the MDR as ‘eating out’, or the buffet as the Golden Corral, for instance. I usually do breakfast in the buffet but have yet to eat dinner there. I might nibble in the afternoon. Although I don’t eat a huge breakfast, I can’t fit in a regular lunch if I have 5pm dining time. EM
  4. Where you dock depends on what other ships are there that day. In Dec. on Seashore we docked at the International pier, usually used by Royal and their family of lines. Before Covid, either on Divina or Seaside, we docked at Puerto Maya (my favorite of the locations). Earlier this month Seashore docked at Punta Langosta. EM
  5. Most likely it will be downtown at Punta Langosta. There is a website Cozumelinsider.com that has a cruise schedule a week at a time. EM
  6. Which MSC ship are you considering? The older, smaller ships do not have much for kids…. Also, what things interest your child about this cruise? Ruins, museums, churches, history? Beaches are not big on Mediterranean itineraries. No water slides on Celebrity. EM
  7. MSC has several classes of ships: Armonia/Lirica class are the smallest and oldest Musica class come next, followed by Fantasia class Seaside class Meraviglia and Meraviglia plus World class If you pull up cruisedeckplans.com and select MSC, you can look at each ship, or filter by class Armonia and Musica class do not have Yacht Club There is no duplex YC suite until Meraviglia class
  8. I believe if you arrive after 2pm there will not be porters to take your luggage and you will have to handle it all yourself boarding. MSC does state you should be checked in 2 hours before sailing. EM
  9. I’m so glad I followed your review, otherwise I wouldn’t have known what this was when I saw it on post this morning on the way to the commissary. EM
  10. If you want to be close to the water and know it, get a cove balcony, Dream class and newer. EM
  11. And sometimes your view in port will be the side of another ship across the pier. EM
  12. When you book with. SC you should plan not to need to make any changes. If you need to make a change, things can get royally messed up. EM
  13. If you go back to the top of the MSC page you will see See posts about, and Select ship. Scroll down the dropdown box and select Seascape. You will get pages of posts about her, some Live From threads also. After you have read a few, come back and ask more specific questions.
  14. I must be the only person who has no trouble booking online. I did talk with a rep when I wanted to add a short cruise for a B2B. I think we may have used a TA for the early cruises, before Covid. EM
  15. Turnaround day is just a port day. You do not need to get off the ship at all, or you can walk around Whittier, take a glacier excursion, or an excursion into Anchorage. EM
  16. I have not sailed Royal, so I have not experienced this. When I do check a bag, it eventually appears at my door. Years ago it might appear inside my cabin. Only once, many years ago, did I pass by a large accumulation of ,luggage in an elevator foyer that had not yet been distributed. Spied my bag and grabbed it. EM
  17. Is this OBC refundable? I’m probably the rare person who would have a hard time spending it…might have to have someone teach me how to do the slots…. EM
  18. And your card and bracelet. EM
  19. How many does your cabin hold? It could be that there is more demand for the quad inside your brother had so they made him an upsell offer. EM
  20. Next week is the All Star Game and although this year the Braves do not have a plethora of participants, but I might like to watch it Tuesday, and the Home Run Derby on Monday…. EM
  21. And cold water lobsters…
  22. I haven’t noticed if they come in different colors. Mine have been very dark blue or black. It’s the number that is important. There is a round spot you are supposed to peel off and stick to yourself, and a little piece you are supposed to place on the back of your cruise card.
  23. I’m going on my 25th cruise in January. Do I have to notify someone ahead of time to get recognized as a milestone, or if they give me the usual platinum card can I ask at guest services for it to be changed? EM
