Have you considered any other cruise lines? Carnival’s Dream class and newer have Deluxe OV cabins that have the twin/king, sofa bed, and two uppers. Also a split bath: two showers, two sinks, one toilet. EM
Go to cruisetimetables.com. From the tab Cruises to… select ports you want to visit, and the time you want to go. It will tell you who calls there and their itineraries. Better than weeding through cruise line websites. EM
I keep coming back because I can drive two hours to the closest port. JAX is so easy. I know what to expect. I would like to sail from more places but air is so complicated, no direct flights anywhere. I do also drive to Port Canaveral but I do an over night halfway. EM
Go back to the top of the Carnival page and click on See posts about, click on Select ship and choose Radiance. You will get pages of threads that talk about Radiance.
It has been reported that Princess no longer assigns a checkin time, so arrive when you want. For hotel recommendations, there are a ton over on the Florida Departures board, under North American Homeports. EM
The port Princess uses on Roatan is Mahogany Bay, a Carnival created enclave. There is a shopping area that may or may not be open, and a private beach with a snack bar/restaurant that probably will be open. It’s a beach day. EM
There are accessible suites in YC. They probably won’t let you book them online, to prevent people who don’t need them from booking for the extra space. EM
The importance of Glacier Bay is that I have not yet heard of a cruise missing it because of too much ice or fog. My first Alaska cruise was a B2B that visited college Fjord, Hubband, and Glacier Bay x2 in early June. The second was also a B2B but this time in July, and we missed Hubbard due to pea soup fog. EM
