Debark luggage tags have numbers on them. The luggage areas in the luggage hall have numbers. Your bag would be in the area for that number. They debark the luggage by number, and do not call the group number until that number luggage is in the hall. Of course there will always be lines of people who got off before their number thinking to beat the rush, and then have to wait for their ,luggage…EM

Schools restart here in the south in early August…but they get out mid-May. When I lived in NYC they went until late June, but started later also. I might speculate you would have more kids in late August from NYC. It’s a gamble. EM

I e been through this thread twice, and somehow missed if the name of the ship has been mentioned. But I have a question for the OP: just what are your expectations for the use of this unobstructed view? In a quad cabin, whether uppers are in the ceiling or on the wall, the head of the bed will be beneath the window. You can’t get close to the window without sprawling across the bed. You can’t sit by the window and watch the passing scene. In some cabins for two only, the head of the bed is on the side wall, so you could sit by the window (if there was a chair) to see out…around the obstruction. So, you might not achieve what you expect from the unobstructed view. EM

Those balconies were just tacked onto the outside of OV cabins, just like Carnival did with six of their 8 Fantasy class ships. This was done when they lengthened the ships (MSC, not Carnival). When you look at outside pics of the Armonia/Lirica class, you won’t see the balconies because the pics are old. EM

Some credit card issuers charge a foreign transaction fee if the bank used or purchase is in a different country than the country of issue. Check the terms of your card, whether they charge this fee. I make sure my cards do not. MSC banks through Paris or Geneva. I have been charged a fee by AMEX for an item purchased in Central America, even though it was charged in US$. EM

They will give you a paper of instructions for turnaround day and it includes special luggage tags for B2B. Unfortunately the instructions here are for the US. You won’t have immigration formalities in Barcelona. Just tell your cabin steward you are staying on but moving cabins. You should get the packet the evening before. If you don’t, corner your cabin steward and ask for it. I never got mine, was only moving three doors down the hall, made three trips to guest services before they finally gave me copies. The envelope showed up on my bed on moving day, in my new cabin after I had moved. EM
