  1. Radiance going from first to middle lock at Gatun
  2. Last I read they no longer board disabled ahead of regular boarding, but with your group. Too many were requesting assistance who didn’t need it so they could board early. NOw you get a boarding time, no priority. EM
  3. You are having lovely weather for your canal transit. You are closely following Radiance of the Seas. Did you wave to each other? I suspect the canal is no place to have a horn conversation… Miraflores Locks
  4. This is part 2, because I started an identical thread several years ago and I don't want to go searching for it... Today we have Radiance of the Seas, being followed by Nieuw Amsterdam, eastbound starting in Miraflores Locks
  5. Cunard, Queen Mary 2. They call them sheltered balconies. EM
  6. As far as the menu goes…if the desserts don’t appeal, but there are more appetizers that you felt comfortable ordering…you can order them for dessert. Especially to cold fruit soups. We ordered spring rolls once for dessert. EM
  7. Glad you enjoyed it. You really don’t get a true experience on the 3 day, 4 is just a bit better, but looking forward to Dec. when I do 10 days on Seashore. And it’s another option for you to drive to…EM
  8. I have been denied the opportunity to book as a solo on Carnival and Celebrity, especially on relatively short notice. EM
  9. I don’t either, I did not find it so on my five cruises. EM
  10. I haven’t done one in awhile, and never on Princess. Well, I did do a trans-pacific…. But you will have different menus every day, not a 7 day group repeated. There should be some enrichment speakers. But you really should be asking this on the Princess board where regulars can be more specific. EM
  11. I meant that cabins that can hold a 3rd and 4th guest have bunks on the side wall. Not a different ship, although my point of reference/experience is Divina. EM
  12. Since it doesn’t touch the US, I suspect it might be euros. EM
  13. There are at least two other threads, one is quite current with thread title in all caps. EM
  14. I would not do an inside or OV gty on this class ship. It is quirky. Cabins for 3/4 have the extra bunks on the side walls, except for those on deck 5, for some strange reason. (I am booked in an OV on Seashore and I made sure I got one without the extra bunks). And as advised, avoid the cabins labeled junior. On Preziosa and Divina they widened this section to increase cabins. We stayed in one of the tiny insides on Divina for her 3 day US inaugural. (13147). I took many pics of the junior balconies which lack any seating other than the chair at the desk and the balcony chairs. EM
  15. The TA is not the one calling it/them a family cabin. See pic below. There are pics of these on cruisedeckplans.
  16. Welcome to Valencia. Along with a future Carnival ship, Costa Firenze. EM
  17. There is a board here for UK cruisers and they have suggestions there. EM
  18. I’m assuming your baby is 3 months now, and will be six months by the time you cruise? EM
  19. There is no messaging function on CC, with the exception of Mods who can message you and each other. I booked Fantastica inside gty for two short cruises solo and was assigned Fantastica balconies for both (but not the same cabin). I then won bids for Aurea balconies for both…again, not the same cabin. I am currently booked in a fantastica OV for a 10 day cruise. I doubt I will be upgraded because it is also sold as a 3 and 7 so cabins for 10 days might not be available for upgrades. For the same reason I doubt I will get an invitation to bid for an upgrade. Prior to the upgraded cruise I was Diamond with four MSC cruises. EM
