  1. I'm sitting her imagining the board room discussion and accompanying power point presentation with the annual projections on how many cookies per passenger and resulting increase in profits.
  2. And the report included that free cookies were still available in the OVC. The reports by the way are from "Host Andy" who is currently onboard Equinox with his sister. I suspect the line for $2 cookies will be just as long as the line for Gelato. If they want to save money maybe they should just abandon that station. That's one CC perk that wouldn't hurt my feelings to lose, they can replace with a free cookie.
  3. You are correct I'm getting these crazy change threads confused. They said they would do the cookie report when feeling better.
  4. It's not a visa it's a "travel authorization". If you are coming from North America you will need it to enter your embarkation country (Italy). It's much like what is required for Europeans to enter the US.
  5. I would have a member of the Retreat Team do this so you don't get charged. Maybe the labor of doing this and restoring it when you leave will have them reconsider.
  6. It's been confirmed by someone currently on Equinox. It appears to be Equinox only at this time. Probably another one of their "pilot programs" (otherwise known as brain farts). They are going to confirm if there are any no-charge cookies in other locations but they are under the weather today.
  7. Hopefully it's at least scratch made like the one from the Lawn Club Grill and not just scooped out of a 5 gal pail like they the regular cookies (and grocery store bakery's). Still ain't buying one!
  8. I was successful doing longer Caribbean sailings at that rate until early last year.
  9. Or maybe even next week! Or 2nd service for $19.99 + 20%
  10. I'm generally pro gratuity on the ships and enjoy giving extra to deserving crew of which there are many. I just realized yesterday after seeing some posts from Silhouette that the upcharge items in the MDR appear to have 20% gratuity included as well. Since Silhouette is sailing from UK the gratuity is included in the price and the Filet price is $23.00 or $19.99 + $4. Haven't I already paid the MDR waiter gratuity for bringing my meal?
  11. I'm sure you know this but you should register your GF needs with special needs department. It may afford you get some off menu choices. We have always been happy with the way Celebrity deals with dietary requirements. If this changes we will be gone immediately.
  12. The cabins are generally in "better" locations. Higher decks. On S class ships I don't see the value and I get a verandah category. On M class I do Concierge or Aqua due to the 20 extra sq ft over the regular veranda categories. On E class they are all IV which I don't do. Most people find the value in Location, the embarkation lunch, extra CC points 5 per day vs 3.
  13. My limit on a sky suite is about $300 pp/pd and about $500 pp/pd for high end suites. As you can see I won't be sailing in suites anymore. Plus since I get drink package and wifi with my loyalty status I won't book AQ either as I just find it wrong to have to pay for something I get as a perk.
  14. I know this is possible using the app. I'm not sure if the web version of online checkin will allow it. The web version used to do checkin time as the last step. I always use the app to select my checkin time and scan my passport. Then go to the web version to do the rest as I can upload my "stock" picture from there.
  15. I like the corner ones. Most have a pole by the bed that bother some people but you get used to it real quick. I believe they are a bit bigger than the standard aft facing sky suites. They also have a 4' round window on the side of the ship which makes the room very light. I would avoid deck 6 as on some ships the balcony is smaller. Deck 10 or 11 may have the window washing equipment near the side window. Deck 12 is below the outside dining area of the buffet and can have some noise of chairs scraping but does have more cover for shade or rain. We have personally stayed on decks 6, 7, 8, 9.
  16. It really depends. If you need pre-existing condition or cancel for any reason coverage you usually have to buy it within 14-21 days of initial deposit. There are some policies which have some coverage as long as you buy before final payment. If you have several cruises booked within a year a annual policy may be better. You may want to discuss your particular needs with a travel insurance broker, it costs you nothing. Several are recommended here often. I have personally discussed my needs with Steve at https://tripinsurancestore.com/ I have also bought through insuremytrip.com Others recommend squaremouth.com There is also an insurance specific board which I suspect this thread will be moved to. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/499-cruisetravel-insurance/
  17. You don't want to walk between 25 and 29. They may not even allow it for safety reasons.
  18. They used to have marinated grape tomatoes and olives in the buffet at lunch. Last sailing no grape tomatoes.
  19. @jbcallender If that's what they told you it was a big fat lie. When you actually select a sailing you will get whatever promo is available at the time. You do get the bonus OBC for booking onboard based on the length of the sailing and the cabin type. The real benefit is the $100 pp deposit amount which allows you to take a NRD price and only risk the $100 pp until final payment. If you are booking a suite then a full 10% deposit will be collected so much less benefit.
  20. Unfortunately that's the case I'm seeing a lot when pricing Business, even PE is close at times.
  21. I setup 5 tours with TBL on a B2B2B sailing this spring. Very comfortable. They do require full payment 30 days in advance but they let you setup to have people you may have joining you on the tour pay separately. I found this made people comfortable with paying in advance vs sending me (someone they didn't know) money. They will refund if for some reason the ship doesn't make port.
  22. Since you already have a future booking I would certainly ask that they apply the OBC to that sailing. Might have to escalate to executive office with a description of your multiple inconveniences.
  23. @Homestyle Used to be that these good will gesture OBC's would reapplied to the reservation if you were to move it. If it were me I wouldn't wait until they cancel these reservations. I'd try to have them moved to your new desired sailing (with no penalty of course if it's NRD). Then you can ask that they retain the old good will gesture OBC and add the new one. You were inconvenienced twice.
  24. Is Montaudon back?? It was on the premium package prior to covid but hasn't been seen since the restart. Cattier was a pretty good replacement but Montaudon was my favorite. What ship? I did 38 days on Connie in April/May and not a drop of French Champagne to be had on the premium package. Spoke with Cellar Master multiple times and all I got was sorry.
