  1. The answer is yes and no. For slots or table games when you charge play to your on board folio it will net against any credit (OBC) balance. However, you must play. You can not charge play to your on board account and then just cash out like using an ATM. If you do this your account will be locked. There are no service charges when charging to your on board account. Ask for $200, you receive $200 in slot play or chips.
  2. Onboard cost is the same is pre-cruise cost. Current cost is $60/pp/day
  3. This is correct. Remember that passengers 1 & 2 in the cabin must have the same plus fare package.
  4. I'll add a few more bits of information. August is off season in the Caribbean. High season is in winter. Also, bring along lots of sunscreen and hats.
  5. Dress. Most people will be dressed nicely, but very few in true formal wear. There probably will be production shows at 7:30 and 9:30. Arrive between 30 to 45 minutes early for seats. There might be the champagne waterfall tower in the Piazza. The remainder of the evening will be just like any other evening, live entertainers in the lounges, maybe a game show. Loyalty status has nothing to do with any of the activities. Everyone has equal access. One note. If you have the premier fare there will be reserved seats for you for the production shows. Those seats are released 5 to 10 minutes before the show. The DR menu will have some special formal night selections, maybe lobster tail. In my opinion the special selections are nice, but not so great that you would be sorry if you missed them.
  6. Your 14 day cruise will be mostly tropical with strong sun and hot days. On sea days there will be a large demand for seating around the Lido pools, especially seating in the shade. Your ports are all very nice. In Bonaire suggest you reserve a golf cart from bonairecruisers.com. The south route will take you to most sites tours visit. Bring water with you. Difficult to find water on the golf cart route. You can stop for lunch at one of the restaurants. The vibe is different than a European cruise. Think fun in the sun, not tours of old churches. Lots of beaches. Snorkeling. If you are into shopping there will be plenty of local vendors at all the ports, as well as those stores like Diamond International which I totally avoid. In Barbados silvermoonbarbados.com offers really nice luxury catamaran cruises. Suggest you look them up. In San Juan you can visit El Morro, the old Spanish fort at the top of the hill. Visit US National Park Service site for admission tickets. After the visit you can stroll downhill through Old San Juan back to the ship. A visit to El Yunque rain forest is also a nice trip. It is the only tropical rain forest in the U.S. Park Service system. Expect to get rained on. Curacao has a nice downtown street along the entrance canal. There is the famous pontoon bridge that crosses the canal. This bridge opens frequently. Don' get caught on the wrong side of the bridge close to the ships sailing time. Alternate ferry to cross the canal take extra time.
  7. 3rd. It's the voyage after qualifying for the next level.
  8. The reserved theater seats are for those with the premier fare package. and it is only for production shows. There are no reserved theater seats for those in full suites.
  9. Yes. You will see many crew members selling the packages. The cost will post to your on board folio and net against any credit balance (OBC). Passengers 1 & 2 in a cabin must purchase the same package.
  10. Don't do anything. Leave the two bookings as they are. We did the Baltic followed by a T.A. pre-covid. There is no turn around procedure in Copenhagen. It's treated like any other port day. Your two cruises will be automatically linked. There is no need to change anything. When you board you will find that your disembarkation date will be your final date of arrival in Boston. Everything in your folios will roll over on turn around day in Copenhagen with a final invoice on the ultimate disembarkation day. If you have the plus fare then you will receive the 2 casual meals per booking number. You will encounter many, many passengers staying on board for the T.A.. It's very popular.
  11. What is described is not simple supply/demand. It is pure deception, poor business practice. It needs to be reported.
  12. Very shady business practice. Seems like something you may wish to write to Department of Consumer Affairs in Sacramento about, copy to Princess of course.
  13. 1) Yes, pick up at any bar. 2) Unlimited with the plus package 3) No if you have the plus fare. Why purchase when the 500ml bottles are included with the plus fare, and you can get as many as you wish, all day every day?
  14. All these ports have beaches, shopping and restaurants. Suggest you review various information on the ports of call boards. Princess Cays is a beach. Get off the tender and you are there. If you wish to have a place in the shade get to the tender ticket location early. In St. Thomas you can take one of the many cabs into town, about a two mile walk. You can also ask the cab to take you to a beach. Megan's Bay is popular but not the only beach. St, Maarten has a beach right in Phillipsburg. You can take a cab or walk. The town is right behind the beach. There is also a water taxi to downtown. There are many other beaches in St Maarten such as Orient Beach and Grand Case. These are on the French side and are European style beach wear. St. Kitts has a pier side mall for shopping, restaurants and such. At Antigua the ship docks right downtown. Easy access to stores and such. Both ports have lots of beaches. Cabs will take you.
  15. Are you speaking about the Sun Princess? This seems to be different than all of Princess' other ships, but I don't know all the details regarding the Sun. If you are speaking about other Princess ships you go to the sanctuary as soon as you board. You can reserve a lounge for the entire cruise sea and port days for US$30/day. You can also reserve individual days for $20/half day & $40/full day.
  16. Princess cruise line does not have a shareholder's email. What are you trying to do? Obtain the Carnival shareholder benefit? You do that through the stockperks app.
  17. There is an International Cafe on the Grand Princess. Deck 5 Piazza.
  18. I never heard of free hot spots. Princess only sells unlimited packages to connect to the internet. The packages are sold for the entire cruise as part of plus or premier fares. You can also purchase an internet package separately and I believe the current cost is $25/day when purchased for the entire voyage, all days. Single day unlimited internet packages are available. Believe the current cost is $30/day. Princess markets internet connection as wifi. Which to me is a little confusing. It's really connection to the satellite internet that you are purchasing. On board connection to the ship's intranet and on board information is no charge.
  19. Fairly certain this is not correct. Passengers 1 & 2 in a cabin are required to have the same fare/package, even when you purchase on board.
  20. It is easy. Just go to the locate feature on your smart device and it will show the location of those linked to you. You can also do the same thing on one of the large screens by every elevator bank and around the ship if like me you do not carry your phone around with you. Of course, the person you are trying to locate has to have their medallion with them. If you have any questions just visit the medallion help desk.
  21. Princess is in the process of changing back to add the same table/same time dining. The new system is supposed to be ready June 17th. After that you should be able to book in the dining app or on the web, assuming no glitches.
  22. Well these answers will go on forever. Basically, nice clothing is nice to wear. Men, anything from slacks and nice shirt to full tux. Women nice clothing. Very few in true formal wear.
  23. When I was on the Ruby in March housekeeping closed the fire doors. I avoided the cabin. Some of the fire doors are alarmed. There was a baggage drop off in the DR if you wanted it. I did not use it. Instead I just carried my bags with me. Cabins were ready around 12:30pm. I was on a b2b. During the turnaround I did return to my cabin as I normally would. But I quickly left as to not get in the way of the busy housekeeping staff. Of course, all my stuff was there. Another note. All the cabin doors for newly arriving passengers were open. The entry screens displayed some generic information and appeared to not be programmed. My cabin, as a B2B passenger, door was closed as normal and the entry screen was normal.
  24. It depends on the ship. On Grand Class ships the Calypso Bar is open very early, maybe 6am.
