  1. We rank celebrity S and E class highly. Next up, Royal Oasis class. Then we like the Celebrity M class. Looking foward to the Royal Icon Class. We have another year to evaluate that ship. Of course the dates and itinerary have to work for us.
  2. You can at Eden. They have a beautiful bar-nightclub area. Also on the Edge. They have a nice bar and seating for those who aren't eating dinner.
  3. We will be on the Apex next week for our third time. The food all around the ship was very good. We especially enjoyed the grill, Eden and the steak house- not sushi fans- enjoyed /Le Petite chef, clever to experience once and the food was good.
  4. We use it in restaurants, not only for wine and cocktails, but for bottled water and special coffee.
  5. Nice to just give away to someone on the ship
  6. We bring a light weight cloth bag from a previous cruise. We used to get really nice zippered bags but who knows this month. Will advise about the Apex. We sail in a sky suite.
  7. We typically book a sky suite, mid ship. Enjoy the suite amenities
  8. Following. We have sailed on the edge and apex want to try the beyond soon
  9. We like coolibar for all of our sun protection gear. A nice selection of hats and rash guard sun protection clothes
  10. Not at all the same. Infinite veranda tiny and cabin narrow. Only positive is the improved bathroom It should be advertised as a windowed cabin
  11. Bring your own hairdryer. Especially if your hair is long or thick.
  12. found the infinite balcony cabins too narrow- if you sit on the balcony unless you are extremely short or tall your vision is obstructed by the bar on the window. Also cannot use a/c in cabin if infinite veranda door is open.
  13. Lamb chops at the Lawn Club Gill on the Reflection and the Sillhouette. Also great on the apex at the grill also. I used to love at Qsine before it was changed.
  14. We were on the Apex two months ago, and I also noticed fewer photo opportunities. We used to enjoy taking a photo package, no longer. The photographers seemed bored and took the same old pictures. With such good camera's on phones, guess getting obsolete.
  15. We also avoid any buffets. Unfortunately some people do not wash after using the bathroom.
  16. We enjoy both. Since you are coming off the reflection, and the silly is a twin ship, the apex is a different experience. I would suggest you try it. The apex has multiple dining rooms which are like restaurants each with a few different items to choose from. The silly, like the reflection, has a banquet style MDR.
  17. I personally prefer dining in the dining rooms. If I ate at that buffet- I would overeat- too much food IMO. I also enjoy a relaxing dinner and being served.
  18. Definately fly a day before. You never know about weather. That is why I am packed a week in advance for any cruise-
  19. We really enjoy the Silhouette and Reflection. Size of ship great- service excellent. We enjoy the lawn club grill also. However, we sailed on the Apex and truly loved it. SP restaurants excellent and the suite deck and lounge wonderful. Only negative too many guests. Cozier on the S class ships.
  20. I got covid on the Apex. Sailed b/2/b December and January. It is still on board. We will be sailing again on Celebrity soon. I am fully vaccinated, but will wear a mask in crowded venues- especially the elevators. Also we were on the Oasis in August and many people reported covid after the cruise. Saw on the blogs.
  21. Prices are crazy. The ships are catering to those who can afford it- especially suite guests. We as, upper middle class, have typically sailed in entry level suites on celebrity and Royal. In the future, we will consider regular balcony cabins. We truly enjoy cruising and will continue to cruise. Yes, the industry as many others was hit with losses during covid, but now will recover. They will not lower the pricing after all debt has been paid but keep as huge profits.
  22. We enjoy the silhouette. The Lawn club grill is our favority restaurant. We hope to be on it again at the end of the year. Have multiple sailings booked on Celebrity and Royal until then. We also love the new Edge class ships, especially the Apex sailing on her in a couple of weeks. Heard the Beyond is even better.
  23. We stopped AQ long ago. Found no real value for the additional fare. You get access to the persian garden- which we did once for about 1/2 hour. The aroma therapy in the room is so strong we had them remove it. Blu was okay, but tables for two really like one long communal table. The choices of food for dinner disappointing. We now sail in suites, but if I were to sail in other cabins, would prefer a well located balcony cabin and dine in specialty restaurants for dinner. Certainly worth a try if you haven't sailed in blu previously.
