  1. We like the DL. We are in there no more than 45 minutes for a couple of pre diner drinks from 5 to 5:45. No issues with crowds (at least on the ships we've cruised on. Only the Voyager class, Radiance class and Freedom class) at that time of evening. On our March cruise on the Explorer we noticed less people in the DL at that time and believe it has to do with the CAS drinks loaded on our Seapass cards. Win win for everyone. We would like to see Celebrity put in a dedicated lounge on their ships for elite, elite+ and Zenith.
  2. With all the reviews of the E class ships, I've never read any positive or negative opinions concerning the layout (seating, stage) of the main theater. Compared to the traditional cruise ship theater seating and stage what was you impression? We'll be on the Apex in March and we'll make our own decision whether or no we like the new layout, but just curious as to what others think.
  3. Are you speaking from personal experiences due to that's where your reliable source told you to go. 🤣👍👍
  4. Good to hear Quest is on it's way back. We don't care that some of the Quest challenges are the same. For us it's the participants on the floor that makes it worth us going to it. Not all are repeat players. We've been on the Explorer at least 4 different times and the ice show is still the same as it was on our 2009 Explorer cruise. We still go.
  5. I only need one glass. That's only 5 beers and I'm not driving. 😁🍻
  6. We'd like to see RC put pool side type grills fleetwide. Works great on Celebrity and you can ask to have them cooked your way. Not overdone hockey pucks like in the WJ.
  7. Thanks for the update. Should have told her the app still isn't working properly. But one thing at a time.
  8. Mine isn't. After first reading this thread I've checked and have been able to navigate my CP on both our future cruise.
  9. Most slow pokes, side by side walkers on cruise ships I've had to announce my intensions of passing have given way. No matter the lane. But the time of day is a huge factor. For me, early in the morning is the best time to avoid the leisurely strollers.
  10. Of course your new wife would be the same tier level as you by default, marriage (your kids would be also). She was assigned a CC number with full benefits/perks going forward. Even if you divorce. The only difference is her CC cruise points would be different than yours. Not even the same as what the OP was asking. OPs friend will be given only limited CC perks/benefits for only the cruise they are on.
  11. Kinde agree. As it goes both ways. I (we) avoid the smoking areas as that is there assigned area(s) and if we need to pass thru we aren't the ones to wave our arms around and fake cough. I blame RC for the smoking lounge, AKA casino that allows gambling at certain times during the cruise. Not the smokers. The only time we go in the casino is to use /lose our CAS free spins. And believe me that doesn't take long to do. We detour around the casino other than that. I quit (cold turkey) over 31 years ago after smoking for 26 years. I soon realized what non smokers were talking about, the stench. If a smoker is smoking in a published no smoking area(s) I'll rat them out in a New York minute. Zero tolerance for that. Done it due to balcony smokers.
  12. No issues with the website on my laptop.
  13. Nothing wrong with sharing the wealth, so to speak. We haven't cruised Princess since 2010. Always on our radar though. Enjoy. 🍷
  14. Masks weren't required before our cruise and also not on our cruise. We'd like to see the welcome aboard drink come back (a Celebrity tradition) and also the reserved CC HH in the Sky Lounge the way it was before the shutdown. I guess time will tell, but not holding our breath or a deal breaker. 😉
  15. Or any other common use item in the dining venues or bars. 😏 I must have a very strong immune system along with using hand sanitizer before eating. No wonder he uses hot sauce on everything.
  16. As it should be. IMO, RC does it right. If you aren't married to or residing at the same address you do not get any of the d, d+ or pinnacle benefits/perks even staying in the same cabin.
  17. The three CC events (CC welcome aboard, CC senior officers gathering and the Heli-Pad when floating down the Saint Lawrence river to Quebec) held on the Summit in September, no one checked our reservation cards or our Seapass cards when entering. I went into the Tuscan Grille a couple times in the morning for a bloody mary and was asked for my Seapass card before entering.
  18. Do you bring your own salt and pepper too?
  19. We've always thought that CC policy sucked. And now Celebrity doesn't even hand out a cheap glass of sparkling wine at embarkation. At least they didn't on our September Summit cruise. But we have been purchasing the CBP since it was introduced as a bundled option even before AI. But not everyone does.
  20. RC and Celebrity are counting on all us old farts (of course speaking only of myself and Kathy might be lurking, 👀) pass along and all the new cruisers won't know what has been eliminated.
  21. Sounds like an assumption. Do you wear them? My wife doesn't and were both in our 70s. I do but wearing hearing aids has nothing to do with my age. I never wear them when doing outside activities. Everyone (young, old, in between and those that don't speak English) I approach and I want to pass I say in my outside voice "passing you on your..." and everyone has always heard me and moves over. As I fly by (speed/power walker) I always say thank you and they always say your welcome or a thumbs up. I do the same when a runner wants to pass me if I happen to be in their lane. Back to the topic, if you bring your kids the hallways are not their playground for running and jumping.
