  1. We regularly go to a hotel for new year. This old blokes family asked if he could sing.' He sounds just like Frank Sinatra'. Eventually the resident entertainer gave him the Mike and a big build up. Applause from the family and groans from the audience. So bad, it was kind of entertaining. Best leave it to the paid professionals.
  2. Thanks, that's a good suggestion. We normally eat in the MDR less than half the time. If the first try turns into a major issue, we will do something else instead. Plenty of other options.🤣
  3. Cunning ploy. That deserves to work.🤔
  4. You could well be right, but we will probably give it a try. We haven't experienced these issues on Britannia, Iona, or Azura, so will reserve judgement and won't be labeling the system on ships we haven't sailed on as ' messed up '
  5. As you say In that situation I may feel differently, but that is something I have yet to experience.
  6. Since the ' app' started we have had 7 P&O cruises and can't remember much of a queue for the MDR on any of them.
  7. I don't recognise this ' messed up ' by P&O cry. We have been cruising for years, always Freedom dining. In the past we went down and queued, or were given a pager. Now we either join a virtual queue, or go down and join a queue and sometimes are given a pager. All pretty much the same. Some folk view all this differently to us, but we don't find waiting for a while any problem at all.
  8. We have been on a few P&O cruises and others recently and always Freedom dining. Just like a restaurant in the local town centre. turning up a expecting an instant table is not reasonable. On our cruises, P&O and others, we always get seated ,sometimes with a bit of a wait, but not ' messed up ' IMHO, just a bit different to the old days.
  9. I admire your memory. I can't remember what time we ate yesterday.
  10. Best to blame spell check, not thr poor little ribbon. 🤣
  11. You could tune in to the bowcam and see what the world looks like outside the cabin.
  12. Some of the ' in the know ' insider ,nudge, nudge, wink, wink, gossip is from a bloke named Jon Snow.😉
  13. It's a funny old world. On the way to Cricket St Thomas we stopped at a roadside Starbucks. Big queue, dirty tables, 2 Coffees in paper cups £10. Sitting in the nice clean lounge with a nice view over Warners grounds. A tea and a large Americano. £6.12, after 15% loyalty discount.
  14. I broke my tooth on a blackjack. I haven't had one since. Toffees are also on the surrender list.
  15. Not just the new cruisers who won't like it. Sorry, but 6.30,or 8.30 dinner every day ,fixed for the whole cruise?. No thanks. We will work in dinner around our other plans. If that means dinner in the buffet, that's fine. I understand all this is important to some folk, but not all. Not by a long way.
  16. If you use strange words, auto correct gets discombobulated and throws its trays out of the prom. Sometimes your pasts come hoot lick a loan from allo, allo.

If you fly in you will need a eTA. On line application and 7 dollar fee.
  18. I had a phone call from my NCL personal cruise consultant. She gave me her DD number and asked me to call if I needed any information about the UK cruises I had been looking at. I wonder if she is ex P&O ?.🤣
  19. Congratulations. Must be something in the Genes. ........ predictive text missed that one.🤣
  20. I'll be driving down the A303 on Friday so can pop in to try a dose. I think MB lives close by. They will probably offer her first dibs.....they wouldn't dare not to.🤣
