I'm sure you will have a great cruise and will get loads of advice from folk who cruise solo.
As regards drinks, we take a small suit case, carry on size where we put all our soft drinks, water and wine. Having wheels helps a great deal. Keep it with you through check in and dump it in the cabin ASAP
Back in the day, folk purchased guide books. We still have a cupboard full of them. Nowadays folk expect somebody to tell them what they can do in the places the ship visits. A bit like ' Le Havre..Paris ', or London ( Southampton ). Most ports have a tourist desk at the exit. They will give folk a map, but they will need to read it themselves.
I watch some of the Ladies footy. Very good players. We have a few stage schools in town. The girls train for music and dance. The boys take acting lessons to help in their football.
Can't remember his name, but the bloke who invented the cats eye for roads. He was a millionaire. He had a few televisions in his lounge all set on different channels to save getting up to turn them over....perhaps he should have invented a remote control.🤔
Is it just me ?. Turn on the telly on Sunday morning and no presenter bleating on about some by election ,or other. On BBC , NED 1...POR 0.
Can the Ladies Have a match on telly every Sunday morning. Sunday brunch at 9.30, Gran Prix at 2.00. Could be a good day. Come on NED, POR, Lewis and Lando.🤣
The Cornish sea air keeps her going ,along with the cream teas. Some of our Cornish folk will know the place. Lots of 1940's memorabilia and music. She was explaining the cream tea protocol to a German family with Vera Lynn playing in the background. Sometimes life is a bit bizarre.
We had a cream tea in Mousehole ( the place ) last week. The Lady in the tea rooms had owned it since 1897. She explained in great detail why the jam goes on first. It sounded very scientific. All to do with absorption and viscosity and what hits the taste buds first. We tried it her way. Very nice too.🤣
