  1. We are on the same sailing and Luminae menus are listed in our app. Did you select the dining button at the bottom, and then “loyalty and suites” rather than main dining or restaurants. If all else fails, try deleting the Celebrity app and downloading it again. You will need to sign in again once it is downloaded. It could be you just need some refreshed information. Randy
  2. It’s a limited menu. You can get the Luminae burger, there’s a nice chicken sandwich on the menu as well a turkey wrap. There are a few other items, but I’ve had so much luck with the chicken sandwich, I haven’t explored much more than that. Randy
  3. John There’s a pergola in the Retreat where there are, maybe 8 tables or so directly under it. A pergola does not have a solid roof and as such, does not give you total shade, but it gives you a bit of a break. Randy
  4. Good Morning John Our upcoming sailing on Millennium is 7 days and is quite port intensive. Luminae is open for lunch on embarkation day and Day 6 only. We are like you in port, lots of wandering and back by lunch. We have no problem hitting the Oceanview or Mast Grill for those days when Luminae is closed. In the Oceanview, we head straight for the Pasta Station as one of our first stops. Our favourite lunchtime spot is Sushi on 5 where the Ramen bowls are out of this world. On board credit comes in handy here. It’s not fancy, but it works for us. Randy
  5. We’re on Millennium in March as well. We’re on March 11th. Are we on the same sailing? Randy
  6. The easy decision is when to Buy. The tougher decision is when to Sell.
  7. Terminal 25 for tomorrow. I believe Palm Garage is about a 10 minute drive from Terminal 25.
  8. We’re on Millennium in March and Le Petit Chef shows $60.00 per person as a regular price. Once you add the 18%, your price would be $70.80 per person. In fact, if one books now, the cost is $55.00 plus gratuity per person due to an 8% discount being offered. Does your app actually show the $70.80 before gratuity, because I don’t ever recall Celebrity using regular pricing before gratuity that would include cents. Randy
  9. Good Morning John Not sure if you recall…we sailed on Silhouette together in March of 2022. As you are set to sail in a Sky Suite, I can give you a little perspective of the Retreat experience. We sailed on Millennium in May 2022 and are sailing on her again in March 2023. The Retreat Lounge is an open concept and wonderful. We sincerely hope to see some familiar staff faces this year, as they were all fantastic. Genalyn was our favourite server in the Retreat Lounge. We saw a recent YouTube video of the Millennium Retreat and Genalyn was on board. Hope she is still there when we board. It was quiet in there most times, but really nice. The Retreat was often quiet, but a nice place to go to relax, and have a different experience for lunch. Specialty dining is a little limited, but frankly, since we enjoyed Luminae so much, other alternatives were not as important. Take a stroll by the Sunset Bar. If Pande is on board, and serving…take a seat and stay for a while. He will have your drink of choice under control after 1 day. Zacapa was nowhere to be found, so fingers crossed for March. If it’s not available, Brugal 1888 may be an option if it’s on board. The recommendation of making friends with the Cellar Master is a great one. When we sailed on Summit in October 2022, our sommelier was a nice guy, but did not stray too far from the “old reliables” on the premium beverage package. We like to see what other alternatives are available. The Cellar Master visited Luminae one night to say hello to the guests, and she saved the day. She brought wines (by the glass) that were of similar price without restrictions of us having to buy a bottle. That was impressive! After our sailing in mid March, we will be able to give you a better idea as to who’s currently on board and who might still be on board when you sail in April. If you look hard enough, you will always find something that doesn’t sit right. We really liked the upgrades and the overall feel of the ship. Luminae is a little smaller on Millennium than on Silhouette. There were times at dinner when the room was full, but we never had to wait when we arrived around 6:15pm-6:30pm each night. We’re really looking forward to our next Millennium adventure. Randy
  10. Here’s an option for the booking of your specialty restaurants. If you could eat in Luminae the first day for lunch and dinner, it will give the serving staff a good way to begin to learn your dining preferences. If you dine in specialty restaurants early in your itinerary, the staff may have to play “catch up” in this process. Don’t worry…the service is very good in both instances. The downside of this option, is, perhaps, not taking advantage of 1st night discounts on specialty restaurants. Either way, have a look at the Luminae and Main Dining Room menus for your sailing, on the Celebrity app. If there is a day (or days) when the choices are not overly exciting, perhaps a specialty restaurant will work. Just an option. Randy
  11. Each of us has a reason for making choices in everything we do. I’m sure the election not to bid was the right one for them. Randy
  12. We’ve been in both on the S Class ships. If we were toying with a CS or a RS, we would often times consider which CSs were available. On Equinox, CS 1615, 1618, 1233 and 1110 have bigger balconies than the other CSs. These are very comfortable staterooms. If these 4 CSs were not available, we would often times lean toward the RS if the price difference was not ridiculous. A RS will give you more room and a second bathroom, etc as previously mentioned, but depending on the price difference between the CS and the RS, you can buy a lot of specialty dining. You will be happy in either one. It’s kind of nice, in situations like this, where you can really come up a winner no matter which stateroom you choose. Randy
  13. We shouldn’t be surprised that Power Up Points are beginning to be sweeteners attached to actual bookings for cruises or flights as opposed to just plain sweeteners without any ties. Don’t be surprised if Celebrity’s Go Green Program winds down the awarding of Captain’s Club points for sacrificing 1 stateroom servicing per day. Royal Caribbean is already planning to test the stateroom servicing reduction on one of its ships. It may not be long before it becomes a policy for all. We all have a choice. We can look at the glass half full in the way Celebrity allowed us to earn points (during a pandemic, plus) that helped us advance towards a next Captain’s Club Level that may not have been achieved as quickly without the program. Conversely, we can look at the glass half empty in how we have been totally “wronged” in all of this. Personally, my vote goes to half full!
  14. We just finished booking Premium Economy seats for our son and family (4 seats) as well as our daughter and family (4 seats). When we wanted to select their seats, the system had automatically assigned both families into Rows 37 and 38 of the plane (not even Premium Economy seats). FBC had to do seat changes for 8 people. We actually booked a total of 10 seats for a family trip. All in all, the phone call with FBC was 2 hours and 24 minutes. This may have been the last time we use them. Randy
  15. Check to see if they are still offering Private Cabanas. When we were there, the swimming area was separate and the lunch offering was separate. We had a private beverage server as well. At the time, there were only 8 private cabanas. There were 8 of us in the cabana that day, so easy to split the cost. Randy
  16. You will probably not hear about your Bermuda Travel Authorization until the week before embarking on the Oct 15/22 itinerary. We are on the Oct 15/22 sailing. We sent our application in on September 14/22. We are working on our packing list currently, as we know it’s a better use of our time as opposed to holding our breath waiting for our BTA approval. Randy
  17. Be careful with CAA. In 2019, we sailed on Edge thinking our coverage was standalone. Thank goodness we didn’t have a claim. At the time CAA would have gone through my employee medical coverage first before they paid out a dime on their policy. That was the last time we used CAA for our travel insurance. Please check with them first to see if that is still their policy (we asked CAA when we purchased and were told their policy was a standalone). Needless to say, it was not. We have since used Goose Insurance out of BC. Randy
  18. Jim Did you say Alexandra was in the Retreat Lounge for your sailing? If so, could you ask if she is on board for the October 15/22 sailing? If she is there, ask her to make you her famous “Brandy Alexandra.” It will be a fitting part of your amazing cruise(s). Randy
  19. We were thinking of being able to plug in a hair dryer in the bathroom. Randy
  20. We’re looking for suggestions for these types of adapters. We’re on Summit in October, where there are no North American plugs in the bathroom except for “shaver only.” An adapter that could plug into the European style outlets, but give us a North American face would be very helpful. One additional question…do we need to consider a straight “adapter” or do we need a “transformer” unit to take current exchange into consideration? Thanks so much for any assistance. Randy
  21. If you are still in Canada on the Sunday, check the Shopper’s Drug Mart website for the store closest to you that offers antigen testing. In our area, the first appointment is offered at 12 noon on Sundays. It may be a different time in your area. Don’t forget that your antigen test can be taken up to 2 days before your cruise (not including your actual embarkation date). Randy
