  1. We just finished booking Premium Economy seats for our son and family (4 seats) as well as our daughter and family (4 seats). When we wanted to select their seats, the system had automatically assigned both families into Rows 37 and 38 of the plane (not even Premium Economy seats). FBC had to do seat changes for 8 people. We actually booked a total of 10 seats for a family trip. All in all, the phone call with FBC was 2 hours and 24 minutes. This may have been the last time we use them. Randy
  2. Check to see if they are still offering Private Cabanas. When we were there, the swimming area was separate and the lunch offering was separate. We had a private beverage server as well. At the time, there were only 8 private cabanas. There were 8 of us in the cabana that day, so easy to split the cost. Randy
  3. You will probably not hear about your Bermuda Travel Authorization until the week before embarking on the Oct 15/22 itinerary. We are on the Oct 15/22 sailing. We sent our application in on September 14/22. We are working on our packing list currently, as we know it’s a better use of our time as opposed to holding our breath waiting for our BTA approval. Randy
  4. Be careful with CAA. In 2019, we sailed on Edge thinking our coverage was standalone. Thank goodness we didn’t have a claim. At the time CAA would have gone through my employee medical coverage first before they paid out a dime on their policy. That was the last time we used CAA for our travel insurance. Please check with them first to see if that is still their policy (we asked CAA when we purchased and were told their policy was a standalone). Needless to say, it was not. We have since used Goose Insurance out of BC. Randy
  5. Jim Did you say Alexandra was in the Retreat Lounge for your sailing? If so, could you ask if she is on board for the October 15/22 sailing? If she is there, ask her to make you her famous “Brandy Alexandra.” It will be a fitting part of your amazing cruise(s). Randy
  6. We were thinking of being able to plug in a hair dryer in the bathroom. Randy
  7. We’re looking for suggestions for these types of adapters. We’re on Summit in October, where there are no North American plugs in the bathroom except for “shaver only.” An adapter that could plug into the European style outlets, but give us a North American face would be very helpful. One additional question…do we need to consider a straight “adapter” or do we need a “transformer” unit to take current exchange into consideration? Thanks so much for any assistance. Randy
  8. If you are still in Canada on the Sunday, check the Shopper’s Drug Mart website for the store closest to you that offers antigen testing. In our area, the first appointment is offered at 12 noon on Sundays. It may be a different time in your area. Don’t forget that your antigen test can be taken up to 2 days before your cruise (not including your actual embarkation date). Randy
  9. Linda We moved the furniture into conversation areas, dining areas and relaxation areas. It wasn’t rocket science, it just made the back deck more user friendly…something that was definitely missing in the original draft. We will be checking out the PH deck on Day 1 to see how it works for us. We’re not out to say we know better, we just know what we prefer. Randy Randy
  10. Chris If they did move it back, we’ll get another crack at “Nouveau Deck Design” when we board Summit in October of this year. Randy
  11. Enjoy your gift to each other. It’s time to relax and enjoy some “we time.”Pictures are wonderful, but there’s really nothing like the real thing. You have probably received a call from a shoreside concierge asking if you have any specific preferences for your Penthouse. You are entitled to 2 full sized bottles of liquor or liqueur along with preferences for your full sized refrigerator (eg. beer, water, soft drinks, etc). You have unlimited specialty dining while you are on board, so you may want to give some thought as to if and when you would like to attend Tuscan Grille, Le Petit Chef and Sushi on 5. As a suggestion, specialty restaurants are often times discounted on the first night. As such, they will be a bit busier. I would suggest you go to Luminae the first night to get acquainted with the service staff. You may actually find that Luminae suits you just fine and as such, specialty restaurants may not be necessary. You will get priority seating in the Celebrity Theatre on “Evening Chic” nights. Your Retreat Host will be available for any requests you might have (eg dining in your room, entertaining in your room, etc). Most reasonable requests are able to be handled by your Retreat Host. You will enjoy the PH. I have just mentioned some of the fun you can have while on board. This is an opportunity you will not soon forget. Enjoy your time in the PH and on Constellation as a whole. Randy
  12. Give this to bartender and see if this helps. Randy 1.0 Martini Glass (chilled) 1.0 Shaker/Strainer with Ice 1/2oz Disaronno Liqueur 1.0oz Kahlua Liqueur 1/2oz Half & Half Cream
  13. We were served this one on our sailing up the Pacific Coast in May of this year. Our original plan was to work our way through the menu, but that was sidelined a bit at the opening when we asked if there were any “special” martinis that were not on the menu. That’s when we were introduced to the Toasted Almond Martini. I can’t guarantee that the bartenders at the Martini Bar on Infinity will know about this one, but I suspect your chances at getting one (or more) will be quite high. Have a Wonderful cruise! Randy
  14. Toasted Almond Martini (not on the Menu)
  15. Not sure what you are referencing. We live in Canada and, if you are vaccinated we do not need a test to fly domestically, or return home from international travel. We previously needed a test to fly from a Canadian airport to a US destination but that has now been eliminated. If you are talking about random testing of vaccinated travellers, that has been temporarily suspended for the period of June 11-30/22 and is expected to re-instated July 1/22 for vaccinated travellers.
  16. I haven’t but I think I know how to find out. I’ll email you when I can get an update….fingers crossed. Randy
  17. Chris I think you and Charline were the favourites. You received a hard copy, but we didn’t actually receive one in our daily. If I recall correctly (and that’s always questionable), I think the TV system for account review, etc was not operational either. Randy
  18. Linda On our last 3 sailings in November, 2021 (Constellation) and March (Silhouette) and May (Millennium), 2022, the listing of officers was on our TV screen as opposed to hard copy. I believe there was a hard copy available in November (we didn’t receive a copy in our daily), but it was easily accessible on screen. Randy
  19. This is normal. The $0 transactions can happen when you get a drink at a specific bar or if you order a drink at lunch or dinner and your server needs to get the drink elsewhere. The Martini Bar is often times the most convenient bar for dining room servers to access. Bar servers will normally ask for your card early in the cruise but may just ask for your room number later on if the bar is busy or if they recognize you from earlier attendance. Yes, someone could overhear you at a bar and could try to use your number, but reviewing your account on a regular basis will help. Errors can happen, so it is important to make sure any of these are caught early and reported to Customer Relations. We have never found inappropriate use of our stateroom card at bars to be a practice that should be of concern, but we have had errors on our account. All were remedied immediately. Randy
