  1. We used it for mimosas for one of our in-suite breakfasts.
  2. Personally, I consider upfront tipping a form of bribe. We've never experienced anything but top notch service from our butler without it. Besides, they may work harder to earn an extra tip than they would if it were "prepaid." Do note that the automatic gratuity does increase when the stateroom has a butler. That said, for special requests and really exceptional service, many (including ) think it's appropriate to add an additional amount. Just my opinion; others may not agree.
  3. Just trying to see where world crises might be an issue and have a broader understanding of the situations that might have led to the cancellations. Do you have an issue with the port cancellations you describe as " cancelled for non-weather or political/safety reasons?" I understand political/safety reasons, but what are the "non-weather" reasons? One of Oceania's flaws is it's inability to be communicate and be transparent with it passengers, but O doesn't cancel on a whim, but has solid reasons behind its decision. It's tough to figure those reasons out without the detail.
  4. Yes, as Lyn says, if you don't pay when you book, the excursion is not reserved.
  5. It would be helpful if you said where your cancelled cruises were scheduled to sail and be more specific on your cancelled ports (where and when).
  6. My invoices list the final payment date at the top of the first page.
  7. Have you read the existing thread about the refurbishment? The quick answer is that there may not be any remodeling of the bathrooms (post # 37).
  8. It is rumored in at least one book on martinis that Winston Churchill simply opened the bottle of Vermouth and waved it towards France. I don't waste my energy on opening the bottle; I simply wave it eastward.
  9. I think your questions were answered on a previous thread where you asked.
  10. Whether it's a bottle of wine you take on board and pay a corkage fee or buy a bottle on board, the staff will store it for you to access at any restaurant on a later day
  11. You may bring spirits on board for consumption in your stateroom, only. It's like the wine situation, except you can take a bottle of wine to a dining venue for a $25 corkage fee. You are not supposed to take glasses of either to any public venues.
  12. I think Hendrick's is on the standard bar menu, but I maybe confusing it with Viking. Anyway, our experiencr is that he stardard bar menu has premium spirits, just nut super premium or speciaty drinks.
  13. The upgrade includes gratuity. If one tends to attend the 2 for 1 Happy Hours and takes advantage of the Captain's and loyalty parties (free booze at both), the cost analysis is different.
  14. Actually, Louis XIII is quite smooth, not harsh.🙂
  15. As long as the liquor is on the standard bar menu, and not a specialty liquor.
  16. I think so, but we haven't asked for it.
  17. As noted above, unless you upgrade, the SM package includes only wine and beer at lunch and dinner and only in the dining venues.
  18. Only one pair on our Canadian Discovery cruise last year and only one pair on the Chilean Fjords cruise we just got off of last week. We were in a Penthouse.
  19. Have your TA contact Oceania’s special services and add a request for vegetarian only dishes. Remind Guest service when onboard. The restaurants will work with you.
  20. The SM excursion package is exactly the same as the old OLife YWC 25% discount when you meet the minimum number of booked excursions.
  21. I'm not sure which emogi I should post..a thank you or a laughing one. But either way, thanks for the update. It was informative.
