We've never sailed on Celebrity, but did sail on Azamara before the split. Our Azamara account appears to be correct with our loyalty points (all from Azamara) and loyalty level. Yet, we started getting daily (or almost daily) emails from Celebrity which claim we have loyalty points with them...the same number as we have with Azamara. Hmmmm.

I think most of the noise complaints have been about the new Vista. Except for connecting rooms, there have been few complaints about the R ships or the O ships.

We have changed to SM on one cruise in the future and kept OLife on 2 others. These are cruises through 2024.

But how do you know that your perception of others is not biased by the reports you see here on CC, a miniscule number of O cruisers. We see here many ranting about missed ports and shortened port times, but what percentage of cruises and cruisers actually experience them. Your data is all based on those who chose to post on CC. What is the fraction of cancelled ports, fleet wide, and are they justified by weather...etc. What fraction of fleet wide port times have been shortened? Does anyone have the data to make any informed claims?

That's a fair question. No, no medical background, just notifications from the CDC about the change years ago. All previous and new YF vaccinations are good for your lifetime (for most folks), but you need your Yellow Card to prove younhad it. The serum has not changed.

A single dose of Yellow Fever vaccine offers lifetime protection. This was a change made several years ago from the previous every 10-years recommendation. We usually fit ours in the closet with no problem, also, but others seem to have a closet storage problem.

If you have normal clam-shell suitcases, did you try to fit them under the bed when opened?

Cabins in the front (bow) of the ship experience the most motion, followed by aft (stern) cabins. Midship cabins experience the least motion. Motion is most on higher decks. What is above or below a cabin determines the potential noise (See deck plans). Forward cabins may experience anchor noise. Aft cabins may experience engine vibration. Some cabins near the life boats may hear the boats being lowered for tendering in the early morning. Some folks like cabins near restaurants. Amazingly, cabins near elevators don't seem to present a problem.
