  1. $10,000 pp per trip, max of $20,000 per trip, max of $40,000 total per year.
  2. Like @basor said. Australian pricing includes gratuities. US pricing does not.
  3. I'm so sorry this happend to you. But, yes, it's a good idea to get the pre-existing waiver on travel policies, if you've had any problems in the past that could re-appear, even after it has been "cured." And, you should know that, if offered, the waiver usually does not cost any extra; it's just you have to buy your insurance policy within a set number of days of making your deposit. The number of days vary with company. And with many (most?) you don't have to insure the entire trip when you initially purchase the policy. Just insure the deposit, then increase the amount covered when you do your final trip payment or add any non-refundable payments (e.g. airfare). Best yet, talk with an agent at a broker company and compare prices. Using a broker does not add any cost and can answer specific question about company policies.
  4. Good question, and as a mildly savy computer user, but not an IT pro, I would like answered, too. The old wives' tale is that O blocks certain ports, but some folks don't buy that. As for me I don't know, but many posters say the speed is not improved with the upgrade. We haven't tried it, because we don't need it. And we are sensitive to the limited band width available on ships and the negative impact that streaming has on others on the ship. Hopefully, Starlink will solve that problem. Will be very interested in the results of your sniffing.
  5. Unless the WiFi game has changed recently on Oceania with it's adoption of Starlink, it shouldn't matter. The streaming package has had the same bandwidth as the regular package. The only difference is that streaming is unblocked with the upgrade.
  6. Nah..just sour grapes.😇
  7. Our experience with QuietVox on Viking has been limited to Expedition ships. Viking did not run its own land tours, but provided the third party guide with necessary equipment for him/her to use. The pax are provided with the Vox and earphone equipment in the stateroom for use on all tours where appropriate.
  8. Do a search of this forum for "Luggage AND Forward" and scroll down. You will find a number of thread on this topic.
  9. You are probably be correct that O never collaborated with CC to arrange a M&G. Now that I cleared out some cobwebs from my brain, I think all my O M&Gs were arrange by a pax or a TA. I do remember that Azamara was on of the line I've sailed that had at one time such a O/CC collaboration. Never sailed Celebrity.
  10. I think the poster meant that O has stopped organizing M&G in coordination with CC prior to the sail8ngs, as they did in the past. Rather folks on the Roll Call have taken the initiative to organize them with the help of an O rep. Was yours organized by O or by another pax?
  11. No. There is a minimum number of excursions required, the number of which depend on the length of the cruise and the number of ports visited. Your pdf of the excursions available will state the number required.
  12. The paper invoice is gold. The website has never provided a full online invoice showing prepaid gratuities or any TA provide amenities. If you insist on seeing pre-paid gratuities or any TA provides SBC on the website before boarding, you will miss the boat...literally and figuratively. Don't sweat it. Just have a good time on the cruise.
  13. This is what has reported by several others on this forum as their experience.
  14. Yep. PS Thanks for the correction on the domain name.
  15. Yes, as in a term that appears at the beginning of a string of terms. But @Zukini corrected my belief that it would change the domain. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/precede#:~:text=1,ahead or in front of
  16. I think the multiple wording refers to the part of the email address after the @ sign. Any additional word the precedes the website name is usually a different entity. The part before the @ sign refers to a mailbox at the entity's site.
  17. A key part of @osandomir's excellent response is "if the excursions aren't sold out." You may find onboard availability quite limited, if even available.
  18. You don't have to be so snarky about someone else's experience..
  19. Was this experience pre-covid, or post-covid when staffing shortages impacted all cruise lines, or was it recently when staffing approached near normal levels?
  20. This is important enought to repost. Folks should carefully read the stateroom specs.
  21. Just to emphasize @AMHuntFerry's post, for the O and A ships on cruions 18 days and longer, PHs get more advance reservations than A category and below. And there are some distinctions between A category and those below on longer cruises on R ships.
  22. Yes. We really like the beds, but as we all know, beds are a personal decision.
  23. We've found the onboard atmosphere friendly. Yes there are tables for two in the MDR and in the Specialties. In the MDR, we never had to wait more than a few minutes for a 2-top; more often there was no wait. In the Specialties, where reservations are required, getting a Table for 2 in advance does require making the reservation as soon as the bookings open and being flexible on day and time. Additional reservations while onboard may be tricky. We have not found the announcements to be overly frequent. Other then a few fliers reminding folks of onboard future booking specials, there aren't really any sales pushes.
  24. Huh? Did you mean to quote me. I was simply providing the reservation list which shows that in some cases PH's get more advance reservations than standard staterooms depending on ship and length of cruise. So I don't understsnd the "no."
