And to carry it one step further, in order to have a true representative sample, your prescribed method would need to conducted on more than one evening, and also include a formal night to be statistically significant.
I added gratuities to our booking today, based on learning of Celebrity's recent increase. But they're not actually paid yet, only added to the total cruise fare as part of our balance due at final payment. Are they still 'locked in' at the rate we have booked now if/when Royal increases their rates at some point prior to sail date?
True, although some people even add additional tip onto that at point of service onboard. Of course this is totally discretionary and not required or expected.
I guess you and I interpreted the original comment differently. I understood that she was 'ticked' at Royal for jacking her around in getting the cruise re-booked after canceling her booking for missing final payment.
While you apparently understood that she was 'ticked' at herself for missing the final payment deadline, and thus had to go through all the hassle of getting the cruise re-booked.
Either interpretation is plausible, right?
I realize this is probably overkill, but I have about 2-3 different reminders in various places (PC, phone, calendar, etc.) of when final payment is due for any booked cruises. And then I pay about 7-10 days early.
There's really no excuse for missing it..
"She was ticked".. She missed final payment, so what followed that was all on her. Not sure why she 'was ticked' at Royal for the consequences of her error.
That's how we felt after 25+ years cruising on other lines. But we're coming back to Royal after a 24 year hiatus from them (last sailed with Royal in '99 on ROS). Hope we're not disappointed..
Agree 100% with your point about cabin location. For us, location is the most important aspect of cabin selection. And this means we don't do guarantees..
