  1. Was the bar open passed midnight, as long as people were there and drinking?
  2. Interesting take on it, but I'm not so sure that 'most' people have HIA on average per sailing.
  3. I don't think it was one-off. Last April on Zuiderdam, we and several of our friends were having a great time at the Seaview Bar one night, and yep, promptly at the stroke of midnight, the bar closed. Needless to say, that put a quick damper on the festivities that night. 😕
  4. Yes, the Tribeca is another one of my favs. I'll have to try that breakfast bagel... sounds tasty based on the menu description.
  5. That's cringe worthy too, though slightly less than doing it in the bathroom sink. 🙃
  6. Yes, it is perfectly okay and acceptable to refill a reusable water bottle in the lido if it is done correctly, like I (of course) will do. I will never put my bottle directly up to the dispenser, but dispense the water in to a cup and then fill my bottle from the cup. This is the acceptable and sanitary way to do this. And BTW, I wish you hadn't brought up the notion of washing your dirty clothes in the bathroom sink of your cabin again. I was just getting over the last time you mentioned it.. 😲
  7. In terms of cabin location, you get what you choose and pay for..
  8. 'Inadvertently' is right... because after 15 drinks, who could possibly keep track? 😳
  9. I believe what he meant was that if you exceed the 15 beverage limit in a day you'll pay full price for the 16th drink and onward, which is correct.
  10. We're doing just that, and recently purchased 2 refillable stainless steel water bottles for use onboard for our cruise next week on NS. Our plan is to refill them from the lido or our cabin sink as needed. Just to confirm that these types of water bottles are okay for going ashore and returning?
  11. Agree, NY Pizza is the bomb. I had a Bronx every evening on our last cruise on Eurodam. Down side of that was that I gained several pounds after that one! 😕
  12. Yes, we've fully checked in online and have green check marks across the board. Still no check in time..
  13. Same here.. we have boarding passes with bar codes, but no check-in time yet (says TBA). And we're just 13 days out. Wonder when our check-in time will be assigned 🤔
  14. Then it has to have something to do with the timing of your original booking. As I've mentioned before, we almost always book 9-12 mos out, and have never been wait listed (except for one time that was a mistake on HAL's part).
  15. I pre-booked table 251 (6-top) for every evening at 5:30pm (fixed early seating) for our NS sailing in two weeks.
  16. Yes, at least I thought I did. But that one popped in the other day which surprised me since we haven't received one in a very long time. When I looked at it, I recalled immediately why I'd rather not be bothered with them.
  17. I typically only submit 4 or 5 choices, and have always received the first table listed. I should add that we typically do this about 3 mos out.
  18. Good choice, we received a similar offer for our sailing on NS in two weeks and didn't bite.
  19. Wow, I have never seen that in a booking process directly with HAL (via their site). There has always been a question (step in the process) asking which dining arrangement we preferred, similar as to how they ask if you want the beds in the cabin configured as two separate or one queen size. The dining preference requested is then indicated as 'confirmed' or 'wait listed' if fixed, or 'open' at the end of the booking process, and in the confirmation email.
  20. Could be.. One time I was asked why I needed the name and email address for a particular coordinator, and when I explained, they provided it.
  21. Interesting.. I've never ran into that issue when contacting Ship Services. Most recently for our upcoming sailing on NS in 3 weeks. 🙂
  22. How did you book your cruise.. directly with HAL, via an external TA? Depending on this information, your dining arrangements (i.e., Fixed early/late or open) should be noted in the 'cruise details' section of your emailed booking confirmation from HAL. If through a TA, they should have the same information and you need to get it from them. If they don't have it, they can contact HAL on your behalf and get the info.
