  1. Those steakhouse brunches are AMAZING. It was one of the best meals I have ever had on a cruise ship.
  2. Exactly. The casino doesn't care about your VIFP status. It only cares about how much you are gambling.
  3. It's probably way easier to serve warm bread at a Waffle House. They just have to turn around and give it to one of the 8 or 10 people at the counter, as opposed to serving hundreds (if not thousands) of people from a galley on a different deck. Besides, I wasn't aware that bread is always supposed to be served hot. I have been to 5-star restaurants that served room-temperature bread.
  4. They do not, but I would rather have direct and immediate access to Carnival than a few dollars of commission rebate. But everyone gets to do what works for them. 🙂
  5. My PVP can do basically anything a TA can, and I can still call Carnival directly if need be.
  6. They will not give you a hard time. They will simply tell you that they won't do it. End of discussion. You get unlimited sodas, bottled water, specialty coffees, milkshakes, etc. with the Cheers package, so you can decide if you will have enough of those to make it worth buying two packages, or simply having both of you paying by the drink.
  7. Per your signature, the last tie you were on Royal Caribbean was eight years ago. With all the changes in cruising, there is no guarantee that they would do that for you now either. I also see that you posted last December about your kid's dietary needs, and the Special Needs department was recommended to you back then. Did you contact them at the time?
  8. The Pride is my favorite ship, and it just got out of dry dock. I don't need bells and whistles, I like lots of space per passenger, and Pride is one of the highest in that regard.
  9. Well, of course, but it's a way better situation than having a nonrefundable fare, or one with a big change fee, and being stuck with a flight you wish you hadn't booked. Prices can also come down, and when booking that far out, they often do.
  10. If you booked Southwest, you can always switch your flight without penalty.
  11. I always keep my playing cards for this reason., I have never had an issue, but worst case scenariol they can look up your card number.
  12. A new upgrade announced by John Heald: https://www.facebook.com/100044337464408/posts/809345903886651/?mibextid=SDPelY
  13. While I agree that in general, Carnival appears to be less expensive than RCL, it really isn't fair to compare your two cruises price-wise unless they were very similar in length, itinerary, dates traveled, and type and age of ship. It would be like saying, "Marriott is cheaper than Hilton because I paid less for my 7 days in an old Marriott in Detroit in January than I did for my 5 days in the brand new Hilton near Disney World in June".
  14. I live in Las Vegas and I can confirm. Even the locals places are higher than they used to be. I just read an article last night that in 2022, visitor count was down from 2019, but waging dollars were up 25%.
  15. How did you get to Key Largo and then to the cruise Port?
  16. How much was the OBC? I generally have no problems spending it all.
  17. Then you ask, just like you would at any other venue. I always hated standing in line at the Mongolian Wok on Lido. I love being able to sit down and be served at Jijis during lunch.
  18. Posting on Cruise Critic must be lucky in and of itself because I have never seen anyone on this board say that they lost more in the casino than their cruise comp was worth.
  19. Sometimes they offer spa deals during port days or towards the end of the cruise. In my experience it has not been consistent from cruise to cruise.
