  1. Thank you very much for trying. If there going to schedule things like that it may not work for a sea day get together to play then. Just looking for a spot that about 8-10ish people could play a dice game.
  2. I think you can swap but you have to keep at least one original passenger.
  3. Thank you for the review so far as we will be on the Gem in March. Probably going to the same places? Bermuda, San Juan, Philipsburg, St. Thomas, Tortola ❀️, Puerto Plata (hopefully). Did you take off out of NY and is that the Verrazano bridge? If so, could you tell me did you go by the Statue of Liberty and about how long after leaving the dock and how long before the bridge? So, they were letting you play a board game in O'sheehans? I would think they would want tables for those eating but good to know. If possible could you go by the game room on deck 12 just past the pool and next to the internet cafe and take a picture or just let me know about how big it is. I am looking for a space where a smallish group could play LRC (a dice game). Whiskey tasting sounds like fun where/how do you sign up for that? We don't have the drink package as I don't drink enough for it to be worth it but this sounds good.
  4. OMG... that truly made me laugh out loud!🀣😝🀒 We always have suites on cruises and I give the butler a list of things I want and don't want and sometimes they bring the canapes anyway. I am going to steal this wording and tell them again and maybe this will help!
  5. Thank you both for answering. I kind of figured this would be the case but wanted to make sure.
  6. We will be arriving one day early in March and staying for a few days after the cruise and want to book a HI as we are members. We would like to stay in the Manhattan area and wondered if any of them offer either a shuttle to/from the airport (most likely LGA) or to/from the cruise terminal (Manhattan pier 88)?
  7. I called the pre-cruise concierge on Friday and I was told that she would send me the list of choices that I would have for the 3 bottles I can order from as we are in the OS. She said she would send it right away but all I got was another letter saying if I want to order pillows, reserve shore excursions, etc... So, she didn't actually send me the list so does anyone have it and can you post it here? If you have the list of non-alcoholic drinks that would be appreciated as well. She rattled them off and as long as I can get my diet coke I'm happy but hubby may want some of the others but I can't remember what they were. I also asked if we could pre-order some Coronas to be put in the fridge to be ready for DH but I'm not sure if she was going to do that or not. I also asked about upgrading to the unlimited wi-fi and she said that it would be $229 for me even though we have 300 minutes already. Sorry, but having a senior moment and I can't remember but I thought that we would get a credit or something for those or does DH just log in and use those and I would log in and have the unlimited?
  8. Thank you for this information as that is something I was trying to find out since we will be there for a day in March before heading down to the Caribbean. We are taking an excursion on a boat to see the famous homes and hideaways of the rich and famous but that is only a couple hours and were wondering what to do with the rest of the day. I really would have loved to go to the famous pink sand beaches but since it's early march it most likely won't be warm enough especially for a dip in the water. Even though I do have mobility issues I would have tried to get my rollator down to the water to take a dip but don't really want to freeze my --- off.
  9. Thank you to the OP for writing your review and I appreciate that even though you have had disappointment due to weather you are not blaming and criticizing NCL for the not so perfect cruise. Yes, if there are issues with the service or other issues that are their fault we want to know about them but so many times people get on and rant that it's a horrible cruise when it's beyond the line's control. Even still, I can understand their disappointment as I am one who doesn't do well in rough seas but Bonine usually keeps it under control. Your optimism and good attitude is something we can all aspire to as it serves you well so that you can have the best cruise possible despite the issues.
  10. Well, there ya' go I'm wrong again.😝
  11. You might want to post this in the roll call and maybe get better luck that way. I hope you get your pics. 🀞
  12. You can but I don't think you can be logged on at the same time unless you buy two packages. I could be wrong...
  13. Thank you for answering as I was starting to think maybe we would give them a shot as I know it's going to be expensive but this is the main reason I won't!! I don't want to start off our cruise of a lifetime trip to French Polynesia all stressed out.
  14. We normally do excursions on our own but because of the crazy hours of time in port we are going to use the ship excursion to JVD. Because we are going there and have to fully experience the venue we are going to get at least one Painkiller. Definitely a lot earlier than we tend to drink but we do what we have to do. πŸ˜‰ Whoever scheduled this time in port is an _ _ _ _ _ _ _!! Having to meet to get off the ship at 6:15 is crazy and wondering if I will even bother going to bed that night since I'm a late-night owl.😴
  15. I want one of our friendly gators to greet me next cruise!
  16. I can too and that will be a problem for those in scooters and wheel chairs. It already is hard to get down the hallways when the attendants leave their carts out there and others leave their room service trays/plates/glasses, etc...
  17. We are doing Paradise Beach in Cozumel and Duns River Falls in Ocho Rios. Great stir-up Cay is obviously a beach day. Grand Cayman not sure yet. I can't help you with any of the teen stuff except for recommending what to do in Grand Cayman. Personally I would research on the Ports of Call for Grand Cayman and get a recommendation for a private excursion to Stingray City. The private tours are always less crowded and usually get more time to do the fun things you want to do. Because of CRS or brain fog from NY at the moment I can't think of the one we have used several times but if I do I will come back. Anyway we do it every time we go to GC - even stayed there a week once and had to go.
  18. Are you saying that Haven guests get 2 meals in specialty dining because they are in the Haven? I know we get 2 meals from our Latitudes rewards plan but have never gotten specialty dining privileges for being in the Haven. I was asking as they state the reduction in specialty dining from 3 to 2 for Haven guests which didn't make sense.

  20. Is this the same list that will be for the Gem OS?
  21. I would be interested in what kind of flights you get as we are going to Sydney (I know different country but it is in the same general area). I know it's going to be a long journey but if I book it direct I can possibly avoid long layovers,
  22. It's hard for me to walk long distances so are there pedi-cabs from the cruise ships to the taxis?
  23. I'm thinking of booking with Bernards to go to Pinel Island but have a couple questions. This is what it says on their website Bernards Tours bus will take you to catch the Ferry for a smooth sail over to Pinel Island(extra cost). When you arrive on Pinel Island you will see a large sand pit. Behind that a stand of Coconut palm trees, and then a small hill that makes up this picture perfect paradise. There are no cars, no roads, (and of course no ATM!) How far of a walk is it from the ferry to the beach/restaurant and how steep is the hill and is it sandy? I usually take my walker through sand if it's not too deep but I could just take my cane if it isn't a very long walk. Once on Pinel island, you are greeted by friendly staff, a sea of festive umbrellas and lounge chairs with handy little tables to place your Pina Colada. This beach is wonderful for all ages as the water is so shallow. Enjoy the rest of your day by exploring the other side of the island with all the pretty shells and amazing waves or have a wonderful meal (the restaurant is available). Don’t forget before you leave stop at the boutique even if just to take a look. What a tranquil experience. How far of a walk is it to the other side? Upon return to Philipsburg, transfer back to the ship will be provided free of charge, or you may choose to remain in Philipsburg to shop or sightsee at your own leisure. Walking back t the ship takes between 12 and 15 minutes, or a taxi may take you for approximately $3. If all they are doing is taking us to and from the ferry terminal couldn't we just get a taxi and save the $35?
  24. If you have noticed what's the lowest blackjack table? Also, minimum on roulette? Here at the Hardrock in Tampa the minimum I saw was $25. πŸ˜’πŸ€‘
