I would think it's not worth the US time and effort. They would have to prove she brought it on board. She could always say she got it from someone on board. At least that's what her lawyer would probably argue.

Some say when the bed is closer to the shower on the Epic it makes the room look bigger, probably because you view is drawn to the open space in front of the couch. I've told this story a few times on CC but worth retelling. In 2016 we were on The Pearl out of Seattle. It was myself, DW and the 6yo DD. It was the last day of the cruise and DD wanted to go swimming on last time. We had been swimming quite a few days on the cruise already. We had been swimming a while when I told DD we only had a few min left and she asked if we could jump in the other pool one last time as there was no one in it. We get out off the pool and jump right in the other one. Well over night they change out the water and it had not heated up yet. It was freezing and needless to say we climbed right out. We jumped in the other pool to warm up. We still laugh about it to this day. Next time we do Alaska if there is no one in a pool I'll be sure to check the temp 😂

They have been doing this for years. Back in 2016 I did the Alaskan Crab Boat tour in Ketchikan. I forget the exact numbers but NCL wanted say around $225 and someone posted the Princess price and it was about $190. Booking directly was $175. No transportation was needed as at the time the crab boat docked at the same dock as NCL. Needless to say I booked directly.

So on my last cruise I did an excursion that was only $35 so in the end I got it for free. I demand that $15 plus the Silver Lat discount I didn't get. I'll take it in cash or refundable OBC on my next cruise. 🙄🙄🙄

Instead of removing a perk from one tier add one or more perks to the higher tiers.

With the bonus points they are now giving it does make it easier. We just got off our third cruise and we are already Gold. If we can do an 8 day or longer next time that gives 3pts we will make Platinum. Even though we stayed in a suite once we did not get any bonus points as we upgraded by calling the old upsell line about 5 days before the cruise.

1) Yes, you should get an email. But you can also enter your info in like you tried. 2) You should, NCL wants to make $$ any way the can and new cruisers $$ is just as green as someone who has cruised 25 times. You will be able to use iMessage on board as long as you are connected to the ships free wifi. You are correct in that the Intl plan will not work on board when you are out at sea. If you are in port. but still on the ship you will fall under the Intl plan.

Right? I know sometimes CC can answer a question faster then making a phone call but still. On a travel message board once (not CC) and someone asked a health related question with their symptoms. They ended it with, "Should I go to the emergency room?" If you need to ask that question you probably should go. Or at the very least call your own doctor. Don't wait for us keyboard jockeys to diagnose you and then get back to you.

We had the combo on the Epic 2 weeks ago. Could have just been a supply chain issue in Feb 🤷‍♂️

It's always funny when a thread is resurrected almost one year to the date of the last post. Saw the 4-19 date and didn't notice the year. Were you on the Pearl 4-15 sailing last year or the 4-8 sailing that only got notified of the change to Bar harbor the night before sailing? I was on the 4-15.

NCL IT has been know to be very glitchy. If they made some sort of change to your cruise (even in the background that might not be evident) it can screw things up like you encountered. Happened to us with our cruise last week, they changed from Puerto Plata to Amber Cove. For a couple days the NCL site showed an at sea day in stead of a port day.

We had Capt'n last week on the Epic but last year on the Pearl I could never find it. Last week on the Epic they seemed to be out of Canadian Club but last year on the Pearl they had it. So you never know.

Not Platinum but just became Gold after our Epic cruise last week, only saying it as it pertains and not a brag 🤣. When we arrived in the cabin there was a Lat Rewards welcome card that had our Silver status and it said welcome back etc and how to check for the cocktail party and what discounts were available. There was a carton of water with it and the card said to enjoy a complimentary of carton of water as we settled in. I was surprised to see a free carton of water for us as I didn't think that was a perk until you hit Gold. A little thing but I'll take it.

Did you ask for one at the Cruise Next Desk? Or just didn't bother getting one? They don't get left in the room as a rule, you have to ask.

Was on the Epic last week from SJU to NYC and we had to provide room numbers when checking out towels embarkation day and at our first port. In Antigua, our second port, we had around an 8a arrival but our tour was not until noon. We got off the ship and there were no towels at all on the dock. I had to get back on the ship and go to the pool deck where there was a line of at least 10 people. They were requiring our Freestyle Card and we were charged $25 per towel. The charge was automatically refunded the next day. Apparently earlier in the day they were handing them out on the dock. After that day all we had to do was provide our room number any time we checked out new towels. What we ended up doing was just exchanging old towels for fresh ones after Antigua so never needed to give our room number. At the remaining ports they were again handing them out on the dock. The last night we went to return the towels and the line was huge. They were using the pool station as the place for people to pick up any off ship/duty free alcohol. We were told they didn't need our room number and to just leave them. So it went from one extreme of charging us to just having us leave them with out proof of returning them.

As an FYI if the price does go down and you rebook you will then get what ever perks are being offered at the time of the rebooking. So sometimes you have to weigh those things out and decide if it's worth it depending on what perks you may loose.

This past week on the Epic I wanted to take a pic of my daughter on our balcony while we were in port. I had her tap in first and then asked if it was ok if she was on board herself as she was 13. The security officer said she could always get on the ship alone and it was just exiting the ship she needed a parent/guardian etc. with her.

Unless things have changed and I don't believe they have, you do not get the additional Latitude points for a suite when doing an upgrade.

We sailed on the Pearl (same class as the Jewel) in the 2br Family suite in 2016. There used to be a tub, with a TV and a separate shower for the main bed room. Since then I believe they have gotten rid of the bath tub and made it a big shower. All the 2br's Deluxe Family Suites will be Fwd on deck 11, there is a Haven class of 2br's as well in the Haven of course with the designation of Villa. Although a bid outdated in terms of the bathtub being gone here is my video our our suite. The 2br suites no longer have a name like ours did.
