  1. It’s not obvious. On the home page in the “Plan Your Day” section, you can scroll to the right to see more options - including “Dining at a Glance”. When I tap on the “Tonight’s Dinner Menus” button it opens a browser window with the menus. This works on my iPhone and iPad. Since you haven’t boarded yet it may not be available to you yet.
  2. We found a bug in the Princess app when we did this. We had a cruise on the Sky Princess and cancelled it for a cruise on the Enchanted. The two cruises do overlap. The Enchanted cruise shows in my app profile with "Property Name(s): Enchanted Princess, Sky Princess". We've simply ignored it, but it is a bug. The cruise personalizer is correct.
  3. Ah, extension cords… I always pack an extension cord for my CPAP, but I am uncomfortable using it with 220V service. It’s fairly light and I’m not sure if it can handle higher voltages. It is UL rated, but the tags on it are long gone. So, I only use it with 110V. Most CPAPs are multi-voltage now (thankfully). I’ve never had a problem plugging mine into 220V service. I have used the cord in cabins where the only outlet is away from the bed. In that case I unplug it in the morning and stuff it under the bed until the next evening.
  4. If you’re worried about the Anker power strip fitting as shown in the picture, I would use a European to US adapter with the Anker strip. I’ve included a link to an example on Amazon. Notice, it has three slots on the US side, so the Anker strip will work. I’ve used the Ceptics British adapter successfully with the power strip, so I’d expect the European adapter to work too. 5. It’s a Kindle Oasis which is smaller and lighter than her iPad. It also has buttons for turning pages which she also prefers over finger swipes. Yes, it’s one more device, but I don’t tell her what to pack… 😺
  6. I use the USB-C for an Apple MagSafe charger which I charge my iPhone with. The two USB-A slots have an Apple Watch charger and a USB-A to Lightning cable (for my iPad). I plug my CPAP machine into one of the 3-pronged outlets. I’m not particularly concerned about the charging speeds, since most of my charging is done overnight. My wife has her own power strip for her iPhone, iPad, and Kindle. Her USB-C slot has a USB-C to Lightning cable. These worked really well for our recent cruise on Cunard as well as our pre-cruise stay in Singapore. We are particular with our cables. They are either Apple or Anker cables. I really like the Anker nylon braided cables.
  7. We have used the Anker cube in the past, but just replaced them with the newer Anker power strip. The cube's pictures don't really show its size, and the cube is larger than we expected. Here's the link to the power strip. This strip has 2 US style outlets, 2 USB-A outlets and 1 USB-C outlet and does not require you to turn it on to use it as the original cube does. One thing to be aware of is this product (and the cube) use a 3-prong plug, so it you are intending to use it in a non-US outlet, you need to have an adapter which supports 3 prongs.
  8. We did the Bombay Sapphire tour in August - very nice, and yes, with samples. Our flight wasn’t until the next morning, so we spent the night at the Hilton Garden Inn at Heathrow. The hotel is adjacent to Terminal 2, so the bus dropped us at the terminal, we grabbed a luggage cart, loaded it up, and walked through the parking garage to the hotel. We would do this again in the event we are flying through Heathrow again.
  9. As someone who has eaten octopus - more than once and on purpose - the dish served was the best I’ve ever eaten. Octopus is tricky because if done poorly it has the consistency of vulcanized rubber. This was not done poorly… I also understand the reluctance of some people to try it. If you don’t want to eat it, may I have your share???
  10. See my post above - #9. It's located in a special room inside Sabatini's.
  11. I've gone through this recently with other cruise lines. Cunard has no way to do this, but Seabourn does.
  12. Sadly, Princess does not provide collection boxes for them after you debark from your cruise. The medallions contain a battery and electronics, neither of which should be thrown into landfills. Princess should collect the medallions (for those of us who don’t want to keep them) and properly recycle them.
  13. We attended while on the Discovery. While Elite, we were in a mini-suite. We received our invitation from our head waiter.
  14. It’s on the deck plans. It’s the circular area inside Sabatini’s. You meet as a group in the piazza and are escorted there.
  15. I've always considered the Princess hotels to be w-a-y overpriced. Remember, the rates on the website are per person based on double occupancy.
  16. The Sanctuary can only be reserved on board the ship. It’s $40/day, $20/half-day, and $30 a day if you book the entire cruise. The best advice is to go there on embarkation day as soon as you can.
  17. Just popping in to say “hi neighbor”. Not really in Shell Beach, but in AG.
  18. On the Discovery it's by invitation, and we were not in a suite when we went in early January. Our invitation came from our head waiter.
  19. Yup, it's about 6 1/4 laps per mile. The Majestic Princess didn't have a track when we were on it in 2021. I'm a walker and I make an effort to get out of the way of the runners passing me. Many of the others on the track really aren't walkers. They're up there taking pictures, wandering about, not paying attention. I refer to them as moving chicanes.
  20. I have a friend who had a similar issue last year. She ended up putting both her first and middle names in the first name field. It worked, but then the crew members called her by both names...
  21. Before the late Lorraine Artz stopped cruising, she had over 5000 days on Princess. We should all strive for this.
  22. We were in a Club Class mini-suite and were invited by the manager of the Club Class dining area. We are elite, but I don’t think that had anything to do with our invitation . It was an amazing experience and highly recommended.
  23. She had shoulder length brown hair and was probably 5’3” or 5’4” tall. Her companion was much older with gray hair.
  24. I was wondering if anyone else ran into the "actress/social influencer" on the cruise? She spent a few days in the Sanctuary, and annoyed most of the guests. She was filming videos with her companion and he was playing the videos back with the sound playing through the phone's speaker to determine if they needed to film another take. It certainly ruined the ambiance and quiet in the Sanctuary. I mentioned this to the supervisor and he was able to have them tone it down a bit. We ran into them in an elevator later in the cruise and they mentioned that Princess comped the cruise for them making a series of videos. Don't ask me who she is, as she didn't look familiar to me. Also, don't get me started on the whole idea of "social influencers".
