  1. More common then you realize. Shoot one Cruise 3yrs ago we had 6 Passengers leave the Ship, one before even started the Cruise. My 2nd and 4th Cruise had Helo remove passengers. Then sometimes Alpha can be Crew Training
  2. Didnt see it on my last couple Cruises. Probably when its out theyll stop
  3. Not me, you were just lucky. If anything consistent about Royal it's the Inconsistencies. One Cruise might get Ton of stuff for Free like you did, same situation happens again and again and nobody and do not get a penny. That said I've missed many Ports, changed Ports, in decades past at most got 2hrs free drinks. Then as I already mentioned above, late arrival and we recieved 2hrs Internet. Last yr few months before our two 8day Cruises we were told they are now 7 day Cruises.Royal gave a choice, keep them with no reduction in price or cancel.
  4. I'd imagine your cost change Flights was under the limit they normally offer or AirlineS. Pretty typical offer from Royal. On Internet, normally seen offered free day or just 2hrs for late arrivals. This going back 2 decades I've experienced or seen on CC,
  5. I'm at about 1 of every 4 Cruises last 9yrs, leave from one Pier come back to another, or leave from one not originally scheduled from. Though this is on smaller Radiance Class and 20+ yrs ago Vision Class. Most resent happened twice this yr alone, both were next to each other but most time happened to me at Port Everglades or Tampa where did have us walk short distance past other Piers in 2018 and 2019. First time was in 1999 it was so far they shuttled us to Parking Ramp where we left out of. Rode myself and drove back to new Pier while my Wife, Kids and Inlaws waited
  6. Nice! Had opposite experience, on 2 Cruises each lost a day and changed ship(sister/same class). Royal wouldnt reduce the Price. Ended up being CV stoppage canceled 16 months ago anyway
  7. Agree, if premade little more challenging. For special out of ordinary which this could be they use to like heads up. Use to get couple items not on Menu every nite. I'd tell my Waiter or head Waiter first nite and they'd make it happen for us rest of the Cruise
  8. Agree, ice helps along with leaving outer cabinet door open. To OP, have to remember these older "coolers" on Serenade/Radiance and Voyager Class's were never Fridges, starting about 23yrs ago with Voyager they also contained Candy, chips, snaks and such in them to purchase like you find in hotel rooms.
  9. Sad but happens and bet this Ship is just a big Sail with some 33kt gusts. Still sucks. Over last 3 decades I missed over 80% of my Coco Cay stops. 2 times we sat there for hrs before wind died down enough, one of which we only got 4hrs total ashore, most less then. Was on a Cruise last month were able get about 4 Tenders ashore at Cabo, waves kicked up slightly and they canceled anyone else getting off rest of day. 7hrs later lucky ones got off returned after their Beautiful Sunny Day.
  10. Agree, after that would be surprised if there was no limitations. Also pretty narrow channel where Ships travel. At the time accident my Grandparents crossed that Bridge dozen times a week and lived couple miles from southern end
  11. On Royal Site: Since we’re cutting our cruise short, we’ll provide you with the value of 1 day of your cruise fare as a refundable onboard credit. Plus, you’ll receive a prorated refundable onboard credit for any pre-cruise packages you have purchased, including RoyalUp
  12. Was on Cruise last month where people had so many Magnets they not only covered their Door but also filled spots between the Cabin Doors. Couple of them had 50-100each on Doors and hall walls... Magnets are fine just never use those Finger Jello looking ones that stick to any surface. Seen dozens Cabin Doors permanently stained with red/green Xmas Trees, Orange Pumpkins, red Hearts and brown Turkeys with multicolor feathers. This 6-7 yrs later, same stains on same ship doors
  13. Watching the Ships on Port Cam. Looks like Serenade will be there first, Brilliance behind her a couple Km
  14. Nothing new, over half my Cruises Times Change. Done Caribbean RT in Fall where Clock changed 3 times.
  15. Agree, seen them keep passengers outside the Fence here
  16. On Serenade last month where we changed clocks 11 times in 27 Days
  17. Weird thing is almost every time Hotels been at have late Sunday checkouts, 2-3pm as less spend Sunday nite at them. But no benefit to me, I'm always at Pier by 1020am
  18. Been easy last 2.5 yrs was allowed to change over dozen flights, no charge. Everything getting back to normal with fees to change or no cancellation, been spoiled. PreCV I Cruised about Dozen times Thanksgiving-Xmas. Last one did ended on Dec 22 and we were delayed last us getting off about 1055am, line was out the door at FLL. I had a 3pm Flight but saw/heard many missed Flights told at Airport they might not make it home before Xmas
  19. Your's sounds like my Dad, kept getting Cases every time County and Federal. They asked me once in mid-80's, I was deployed, let them know and never called me again. Though I did keep getting notifications I'd never registered for Selective Service(US Military). Ah sorry been serving long before I turned 18.
  20. Though my last 9 Cruises this yr its been 1:30 on the door so possible. My Daughters Sailing 2 wks ago same time, so this on 3 different Ships
  21. Yup, as other's said still Brought with me few wks ago in Passport holder. Picture on Cell with another backup card at home. I'm always over prepared
  22. Yeah PreCV w/cards I'd sit in CL wait for WJ open, but VCL had/has been one my usual hangouts going back 30+ yrs back when Cards/Keys were originally in Cabins
  23. Yup, on 3 different Ships next yr, all only listing Surf and Stream available for me, Its coming
