  1. I would love to see them as well. I am assuming the first 7 days are the same as the rest, but I am curious about that 8th day.
  2. Hi all! My husband Steve and I just booked this cruise. It will be our first time leaving from New York, so we are excited about that. Now to find a hotel for the night before...
  3. Or will they just use the same additional menus they've always used on longer cruises? Thoughts?
  4. Until then, you can make it yourself. https://www.food.com/recipe/carnival-cruise-strawberry-bisque-395838
  5. Really enjoying your review! It brings back lots of fun memories of our trips! We hung out in he piano bar most nights--it was always entertaining.
  6. I totally agree! We did this same cruise in March and October, and on both cruises those last sea days were cold and windy. We were not prepared at all for that.
  7. Does anyone know which ones are close-ish to the cruise ship dock? I want to make sure we have plenty of time to spend there, including travel time to get there and back. I believe we dock at the pier in the downtown area.
  8. Great start! Panorama is one of my favorite ships.
  9. I do that, too. We like being on board as early as possible
  10. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to reading the rest.
  11. Agreed. I would throw in the Tiramisu and the confetti cheesecake from the Lido as well.
  12. Thanks for the review! It's so nice to read something positive about the Magic. We are sailing on it for the first time in November and really looking forward to it. We have a similar itinerary, although we are going to St. Thomas instead of St. Kitts, which is disappointing. What was your favorite dish at Cucina? We've only done the steakhouse so far, so we are going to try Cucina this time.
  13. I always thought they didn't offer tortilla chips on the salsa bar because they would go through WAY more salsa than they do now, with people just putting small amounts on their burritos.
  14. I love their breakfast burritos made to order. They will also make you fried or scrambled eggs over where the arepas are (or at least they did on the Panorama)!
  15. I'm sure that people would be taking all the k-cups home as souvenirs, much like people take the pens, paper, towel animals, table decorations, etc. It's not cost effective for Carnival.
  16. It took us several months and many, many hours on the phone to get refunded for an excursion that CARNIVAL canceled due to flipping the itinerary. All because we paid with a gift card. What was infuriating is that all we wanted to do was change the excursion to 2 days later so that it actually coincided with the day we were actually in that port! They refused to switch it and made us wait months for a new gift card.
  17. I'm guessing it is because of people like the guy we had at our table last time who had ELEVEN lobster tails on elegant night. All of the sides that came with the lobster went uneaten. The amount of wasted food was unreal. Not to mention that his having the waiter go back and forth to get him 10 extra entrees delayed everyone else's dinner.
  18. We stayed in them on the Panorama twice. We also have one booked on the Firenze next year.
  19. That sounds like us. We just didn't use it enough to warrant the extra expense. We now tend to book the deluxe ocean view with the 2 bathrooms which saves us a lot of money.
  20. I totally agree! We went to Alaska on Holland and it was the most boring ship I have ever been on. There was no entertainment at night except for a piano player. It was eerie walking around at night looking for something to do and finding everything closed up tight, Even during the day on sea days it was a struggle to find anything to do. It was so disappointing.
  21. Our excursion was paid for with a gift card, and then Carnival reversed our itinerary so the excursion had to be canceled because it was on the wrong day. Why they just didn't switch it to the correct day is a mystery. In any case, they refused to let us use that money toward another excursion, or put it back on our account to be used elsewhere. They said their policy is to mail you a new gift card which they said would take 7-10 days. Fast forward to 2 months later...still no gift card. This was back when you had to wait 5-6 hours on hold to talk to someone. It took about 4-5 phone calls, and dozens of hours waiting on hold to receive an EMAIL gift card. I think it was about 3 months after the cruise before it was finally resolved. Why they couldn't give it to us while we were on board is beyond me.
  22. I agree with you about the soot. We were laying by the Aft pool with fresh drinks when all of a sudden black soot started floating down on everyone. To Carnival's credit they replaced everyone's sooty drinks at no charge. It only happened once, but that was enough.
