  1. Fully understand the direction of travel of one ‘s thoughts. However, one was just trying to help.
  2. Totally agree…. The relationships enjoyed now with RMs, MDs, HWs and waiters on Cunard, began years ago when they started as waiters on Cunard (also Princess). Then watched their progress to HW and so on. In addition, every year new waiters join Cunard, again relationships are immediately built, all based on mutual trust and respect. This rapport, both on and off ships, can not be achieved and built upon by playing musical chairs.
  3. Agreed. Two weeks after disembarking a sum appeared in CC statement. Queried and confirmed it was for Internet use. Diamond was one’s reply. Put on hold for about 6 minutes. Sorry will credit. But debited it again. Queried again. Sorry will credit. Then only one. Back again finally resolved. A week later a small amount appeared. Discovered this was for minibar drinks on the day we left the ship (?) and this was cancelled. Obviously, nobody checks prior to debiting.
  4. Could be a option. Speak with your booker, as they may be an option to upgrade to Club. The price will be based on the actual date of the cruise booked, not the current price. An Early Saver fare could be of interest as any Club stateroom allocated by Cunard will not disappoint. Then there is the potential for an upgrade from Club to PG. Good luck
  5. Sorry to interject. There are ways to solve the requirement to dine ad hoc on Cunard when fixed times are in place. Book Club or above, Kings Court or Lido Alternative, Kings Court or Lido Buffet, Verandah, The Pub and Room Service.
  6. Ask the Ship’s Concierge to arrange one for you.
  7. A word of caution. Cruise herds have discovered Vigie, as the taxi is only $10 for 4pax or a 20/30 minute walk. So it’s now not the place it was.
  8. Thank you Princess. Ahh….. Gros Islet…. Happy Memories of spending time there. The taxi (sight seeing). Followed by the little ferry. Then the barter of a water resistant radio for jewellery (which we still have) with Bushman…. Then chartering a boat to take us back to the ship, sharing a bottle of spiced rum, without glasses, on the journey. And buying a rare shell from the diver straight from his boat. Still have… Wonderful, wonderful memories…. A beautiful island and even more beautiful people. Oh, nearly forgot the special bottle of “Bush Rum”, which we shared on the ship…. Don’t ask as to how it went…..Friends still speak about the numbing experience. Think you may have been the same person who we met in the Supermarket about 10 years ago
  9. If anyone is interested in an off the mainstream beach, then a personal favourite is the Naked Fisherman beach/restaurant. Just a nice relaxed place to dine, drink and lounge on a small, but perfectly formed, beach, away from ‘Tourists’, for those who will appreciate it Link…… https://nakedfishermanstlucia.com
  10. Get Cunard to correct…. As you both may be refused boarding because the Boarding Pass and Cunard’s computer will not agree with your Passports, even though Cunard is in the wrong.
  11. We had this….. Cunard solved… Somehow DW and myself had our birthday dates reversed.
  12. Carlisle Bay is mentioned, but without explaining that the World head that way. Because it’s only $5 by shared minibus or walk. It’s a loud and brash place, not a destination for genteel cruisers seeking a more quieter beach stay. If being close to the ship is the requirement, consider Brandon’s or Brighton on the West coast.
  13. For an acceptable price point, consider a Guesthouse. People we know have booked and enjoyed the Navona. Old Town, simple, clean, centrally placed and not far from the ship.
  14. Cunard do offer. The contributions by CC members are beneficial, but the flight can be one of choice, together with the upgrades for additional space and luggage.
