  1. Totally makes sense..... wait until we're in there and it'll be a piece of cake to get a reso. 🙂
  2. @kazu I have been a part of this wonderful website since 2009. You were one of the very first people that I "connected" with here, and I have ALWAYS relied upon your helpful posts. I know that the last few years have been nothing but awful for you. The loss of two beloved dogs, a "step-dog" and your one true love, your husband Jose. And then when you finally get to cruise..... you get hurt before you can even get onboard. And yet..... here you are, always positive and always helpful. Jacqui, please know, that you are truly inspirational and truly loved, albeit from afar and through cyberspace. Nothing but respect for you girl.
  3. Fingers (and toes 😆) crossed that this is a sign that they are going back to allowing us to pre-reserve the MDR?
  4. Yep. Definitely know how to do that. But if you notice... it says "Book in the Main Dining Room" now, long before we board.
  5. This is showing for all three of our upcoming cruises. Certainly looks like you should be able to pre-reserve MDR dining, right? 🙄
  6. Our favorite balconies are on deck 4 aft (Koningsdam, Oosterdam, Westerdam, etc) and for our upcoming B2B2B, the Rotterdam. 😊
  7. Sorry about the dry turkey.... but good to know about Costa Maya, thanks.
  8. Thanks for letting me know about the Prime Rib & Coq Au Vin yesterday. Did you go to the MDR tonight?
  9. Pretty sure the Lido is open for Late Night snack from 10:30-11:30pm each night. Here's Crew News' menus from earlier this year. https://rogerjett-photography.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/7-Day-Late-Buffet.pdf
  10. LOL. sorry but I can't help but laugh on the direction this thread has taken.
  11. From the resounding response... I have ascertained that the Friday night special at the Canaletto past and current is not remarkable in any way. 😆
  12. The Friday night special at the Canaletto on the Rotterdam is now Veal Florentine Cannelloni (used to be a Chicken Curry I think). Has anyone tried the Cannelloni?
  13. The most recent reviews on HAL's website are here: https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/shore-excursions.html
  14. I think you are right. We have an 11-day cruise in February and there are only two Gala Nights noted.
  15. And if you're getting the Have It All package, booking legs separately can benefit you as well. 21 day cruise gets you $300 in Shore Excursion credits & 3 Specialty Meals. That same cruise, when booked as 10 & 11 day cruises, gets you $400 in Shore Excursion Credits & 4 Specialty Meals.
  16. @kazu check Crew News' site. Pretty sure he was onboard for the holidays and listed a bunch of holiday menus.
  17. Does this also apply to booking Specialty Restaurants? Meaning… once you are onboard for the first leg of a B2B2B, you cannot reserve those restaurants for the 2nd and/or 3rd legs until those legs actually start?
  18. Asked this a few times on a prior thread, but never got a response. I know if I prebook the specialty restaurants, I pay full price (not part of HIA). And I know my Mariner discount will be credited as OBC once we are onboard. Does anyone know whether that specific OBC is refundable?
  19. Pleasantly surprised to see updated shore excursion reviews on Holland America's webpage. They haven't updated them on my specific cruises, but on the general HAL site they are there. https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/shore-excursions.html
