  1. As discussed already nice idea but def " NO" for mini btls of alcoholic bevs. Enjoy your cruise..
  2. it is pretty easy..I am very lo tech and manage. I have an Android phone and upload from my Gallery.. see box next to paper clip in posts that says ADD FILES.. Maybe take son with u to the ineret guys..they are a great help.. You don't have to go nuts but one or 2 pic posts might be nice! Review is great as is.. just a thought!
  3. glad u are on board! would love to see u all in those shirts pet peeve re dinibg in barcelina..lots of things were extra like an order of bread!
  4. If you have not been there.. maybe go to a nearby beach, take a ship's snorkel excursion, or do some shopping (no bargains), or casual dining . Just remember ship's time..and that traffic can get very congested. we have been there many times so that is why we now stay on the ship!
  5. one must create the acct.. folks at the computer area are very helpful if needed!
  6. We sadly missed going to the old synagogue. What locals refer to as "gypsies".. a youth gang in blue jeans make and females... blocked both access streets. On one street we were "swarmed" but managed to escape.. some middle age/ older folks can use elbows & move fast when necessary.. Only downside to Barcelona is pickpickets and thieves..lax enforcement. .We used a security pouch for my husb, & when we travel, I use the " bank of bra"! Other than that it is a great city of art, food, music, architecture...mix of old and new!
  7. Suggestion: if you have been there before and don't have a ship's excursion booked, best bet is to stay on board the ship! Not worth the hassle or crowds!
  8. Nice review so far.. if possible can u post a few photos of the highlights. We enjoyed Barcelona and saw alot of the Gaudi buildings, plus a visit to the music hall and and museum in the old city which had underground Roman ruins. We went to Montserrat monastery post cruise on ship's excursion. Good restaurants as well!
  9. yes.. we were on that route.. It was cold the first few days going south.Blankets instead of towels at the pool deck. We returned to find our cars covered in snow.. We were loaned a shovel to dig ourselves out. What fun! But we did love the ship..better to board in Florida!
  10. were things going to be closed on Bonaire, perhaps? Great holiday itin, despite the Bonaire change.
  11. In our opinion, not a great swap.. we don't get off at GC anymore .Tendering is a pain, and GC gets crowded including beaches...Not worth it unless folks enjoy snorkel or diving excursions.... Bonaire is much easier to access and fun for us. We would just have to accept the swap if booked.. Disappointing for some! looks like a holiday cruise???
  12. we do not drink much alcohol so Classic works for us.. Husb drinks a few beers, basic wine at dinner and a scotch some evenings. I may have one fru fru drink and sometimes a Baileys.. small upcharge, if any. Value for us is the soda coffees, teas juices etc..and maybe the water if it is not in the containers we dislike. Extras can add up with no package but for us getting more than the Classic is not worth it..both.drink packages are very high. Wish they would limit the alcohol part to a max number per day.... that might make them able to lower the prices. Some folks really overdrink b/ c of the packages...and has changed X demographics..not for the better!
  13. How different is the new itin? Did the length of the cruise change? That happened to us once....became a longer cruise which made us have a date conflict..so we cancelled...no penalty.
  14. Great idea I use downloads to read on the ship but have a few interesting books I can contribute on our next cruises. Hope E Class has a spot for them.
  15. love Tortola, .Antigua beaches, . and St Kitts with excursion to NEVIS!
  16. We've used it at least twice past final payment date due to pre cruise med emergency.. Smaller cruise costs to the Carib..fully covered, and a big trip overseas.. all covered but certain airline fees.. US Medicare does not cover med care out of US..neither does our secondary, so cruise ins for us is a MUST. Someone we know had a brain incident on a SA Cruise. They flew her home to US Hosp. A neighbor in Fla fell in Greece..Her ins covered 2 full hip replacements in Athens, and return to Fl with assusrance of a travel nurse! OP had reason to not buy ins so issue here is if cruise line will help them in any way or if there's any way to avoid losing full costs
  17. The Behind the scenes tour is worth it.. and no need for the food tour only! Lots of walking & stairs..but some elev option if needed. Best on ship tour for us on E Class is always the Art & Design Tour..last day or so .It covers most of the art.. lots of good info ...moves along nicely.. Usually comes with the Art Book. We are not big fans of Luminae..so we rec some specialty dining...book ahead on line...for a discount and best times . Book EDEN asap...great experience! We also love Raw on 5..not just sushi, great cocktails! a la carte If you like outdoor casual with great food, book the Rooftop Garden Grill for dinner on a port night... or at least a lunch one day (when pickleball is not being played!) Enjoy the shows..state of the art theatre and excellent shows/ performers. Fav Bar is World Class Bar overlooking Martini Bar.. see the action but but not as noisy! Enjoy!
  18. You or your TA should call X and see what they can do for you! Escalate if need be.
  19. Depending on your itin and ship, there may also be a "shine the night" (10 p.m.) deck party in lieu of the white party! maybe bring something that shimmers!
  20. book a later flight...
  21. we did not like the bed orientation of the Sky suite on BEYOND....bed faces out to the water but you move sideways.
  22. yes.. also definitely on our list as well... We wanted Malta but got Corsica on our cruise itin .. Seems they are not comparable! another great review by Miaminice
  23. we have a nice travel size Brita filter pitcher.. It's .easy to pack, simple to use! But I also bring on a few btls of Spring Water
