  1. luminae is supposed to be the more elevated experience..not the way we see it.. blu is healthier.. food is not over salted or swimming in gravy and sauce!
  2. We enjoy the menu, food prep, service and ambiance in BLU. We break things up with Specialty Dining...works well for us!
  3. Agree on the subjective aspect of food taste . In EDEN on Ascent, I sampled my husb' s crabcake ( everyone raves abt it). I thought it was too salty; glad I did not order it but my husb enjoyed it
  4. A perfect fun review!
  5. two very narrow beds for sure.. the sofa itself is very uncomfy.. and low to the ground.. not sure adults could make this work!
  6. great posts of Seattle.. we skipped the space needle, but loved the Glass Museum.. he is the best! We have to see the museum in St Petersburg Fl one of these days Thanks for sharing your cruise with us! Safe travels ...
  7. thank you very much!.. Guess I will have to pare it down quite a bit or use it as a guide.. but the glaze mix is their prorietary secret! gives me good hints! dh does not eat salmon but I ordered it all the time and make it whenever he's not home!
  8. night time photos are stunning bit nothing can beat the lovely photos of the sea! How is the room attendant doing!
  9. Thank you.. we'll look in the daily We have a short cruise, but might try the sushi place..Seems the menu is mostly sushi oriented...not as varied as Raw on 5 on E Class which we enjoy. Lunch at the Porch might be fun.. Menu shows there are non seafood choices for my husb. (lobster allergy) Point of taking the short cruise for us is to decide if we would enjoy going back to S Class after sailing several times on E Class. Looks like a good choice
  10. Love the apron! Is there a brand name for the salmon glaze or ingredients? i'm a big Salmon fan!
  11. we have all.our dinner Specialty res booked, but see nothing for Porch, Sushi or LCG for lunch.. Do.we just walk in or make res after we board? Do you think Tuscan would offer a lower cost lunch?
  12. we are booked on a short cruise on Silho next Dec.. can't wait to hear all about the ship.. we will be in Concierge. Safe travels!
  13. Hope your room is made up earlier going forward. ..It should be done by mid afternoon do you can get ready for dinner in a clean space with fresh towels.. Anything later would not be accepatable! keep us posted hope u r having fun!
  14. that would be the pits .ok for our 8 and 4 yr old grandsons but adults dtrs..not going to work!
  15. in Port Ev they have a sign as you enter that lists the ships with corresp berths.
  16. Ascent is a step up... but louder activities!
  17. like in the Solarium and heated loungers in thermal suites?
  18. We liked 6 pm in EDEN on ASCENT.. a window table was not a priority..we enjoyed watching the chef's area We had really nice acoustic music from above!
  19. medicare coverage does not extend outside the US.. Secondary coverage depends, and some cred cards provide insurance..But no on Medicare. That's why many like us buy a sep policy that will cover med and other expenses.
  20. As cruisers leave for other experiences (been there, done that ), new ones will join, and diehards will stay. Cruising is still a good value and fun! We will still cruise, but will consider a return to S Class...E ships are great but a bit too loud for us right now!
  21. so far it looks like a great start..thanks for sharing! When we went to EDEN we were too full for dessert, but they brought us a beautiful tiered tray of cookies.
  22. the big build up by X about Retreat/ Suite Class, often leads to expectations that exceed reality!
  23. No is the short answer. Some late night parties on E Class..but late night is not the norm...
