  1. must be reported at Guest Services ASAP, via QR code in daily, to housekeeping AdminIstrator.. ..Ask for a diff attendant..no hope for the one you have. we were recently on ASCENT in AQ class...best attendant, better than the butler we had on BEYOND
  2. op is stressing..no reason they will take photo at the pier. before boarding... We .do.minimal needed to get a check in time. I think the .earliest is usually 11 or 11 30 am
  3. this dessert looks like a work of art.. I like hibiscus tea so would probably enjoy it! dashing around to get errands done before the eclipse this afternoon..we have the required glasses but hope to avoid it...
  4. thanks.. the organic eggs look very tempting.. Most of our local farms here on Long Island N.Y. now grow grapes for the wineries. and farm stand veggies, (lots of pumpkins and corn mazes) . There is a niche market for pricey " farm to table" dining, folks come out from NYC.. Not sure if we have any duck farms left at all . In Fl ..lots of high quality beef although I am trying to cut down consumption.
  5. We find BLU to be a much brighter space than Luminae and an easier menu for us...simpler and fewer sauces! In the photos, did you notice the market prices for various items..eggs, bacon? ..If in US $ seems quite high! (I have to scroll back to catch up!..Great blog)
  6. Vanessa...Feel better soon! Back issues are rough..and all too common. Hope all goes well. Jim...The shapes, vibrant colors, geometrics and perspectives of the last series of photos are amazing! Like an art exhibition..just for us! Bon Voyage!
  7. Very nice dressy outfits! Perfect for Chic nite or a fancy night out! What was bumpy about the train? Are you returning via train as well.?
  8. As word spreads, many will avoid the creaky ships, and trvl agents will be well advised to focus their clients towards non creakers.
  9. sorry this port did not work out well for your visit . . It was one of our favs when we were there. We went on a weekday, and had a great walking tour with a bilingual guide. Lots of history, nice market, very well kept and clean. We had an outdoor mini lunch near the fort , and we did ok...not great..with shopping! Maybe next time we'd try to visit a beach!
  10. Great photos of Las Olas area. Won't be long now! Hope you have a great Sailaway!
  11. Wow.. that would be difficult to cure ship wide! We had no issues on any E Class ship so far..Next up will be APEX..not thinking about booking XCEL! Maybe go back to EDGE?,
  12. thank you for a beautiful review..great use of videos.. Greece is a wonderful place..people are friendly with a great spirt!
  13. we walked up and down to the Acropolis..We took our time. Must take care.. Yes it is a "Must See", but a challenge for those who have gait or balance issues! Slippery when wet! We thought the ancient areas of Athens were quite ugly! Beautiful antiquities are interspersed among odd buildings.. and there are lots of overhead electric and trolley grids, busy traffic. The modern business area was more sleek..with a hurried metropolitan pace . We liked the seaport area but had little time there.
  14. very nice that the library area is still there..looks like a cozy spot where one can read! nice wood shelves, interesting art & decor!
  15. hmm.. maybe that's what we ended up with after ASCENT..something new. The body aches were very intense! We used tylenol flu med.. ...It lingered but luckily did not progress!
  16. Weather channel on line had video of flooding and rescues in Sydney.. Has the bad weather passed?
  17. Very enjoyable read....great photos, interesting history, commentary. Love the doors, colorful shirts and big smiles!
  18. on ASCENT they had a self serve "to go" cart for coffee and tea..really helped shorten the line up for just a cuppa!
  19. Downtowner is a fav stop on the water taxi, if still on the route.. had a nice bloody mary there..not too strong!
  20. In Belize we did the Old and New city X tour... involved a very long bumpy ride past nothing much, but we enjoyed climbing the pyramids and the history of the Mayans...
