  1. At least a brief nice view of Noordam. Roy
  2. If there's no camera person at least Noordam should not be blocked by a zoom on Eclipse. Roy
  3. Especially for a World Cruise this should be a piece of cake. I did it from QM2 to QV in 2016, and was given 2 options. I've attached the instructions although they're a bit on the light side but should be legible. https://aroundamericabitbybit.files.wordpress.com/2016/01/transfer.pdf I took the second option as I wanted to visit a church in Southampton. I left QM2 about 8 and easily found the truck which quickly took my bags and then caught a cab to the church. The transfer truck was one of the closest vehicles to the terminal exit. If I had gone directly I would have been among the last off QM2 and transferred by Coach to QV and boarding would then be ready to commence. Roy
  4. Today's sunrise is from my 2013 Blount cruise from New Orleans to Saint Petersburg. On May 25 Grande Caribe visited Pensacola: Roy

  6. Happy Thursday (Friday junior). Thank you Rich, Eva, Tina, Dixie, and Ann. Prayers for an easy first day at home for Debbie, and all missing children to be reunited with their loved ones. It's amazing what ship crews can do with a few towels. I haven't used a brown bag in years. I's say Babe was quite an optimist but he backed up his optimism, as did JFK. I've been to Gibraltar 3 times, Crystal Symphony in 1996, Queen Elizabeth in 2016, and Crystal Serenity in 2019. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Chilled Lingonberry Soup and Prime Rib of Beef au Jus as served on MS Prinsendam May 25, 2015. Roy
  7. Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
  8. Cabin Fever sounds interesting. For many years I only read on airplanes which means pretty much never since returning from QM2 in 2020. I am now past the midpoint of something different which I find very interesting but will likely not be for everybody. It's "American Sirens", the story of a group of poor young blacks who were recruited as America's first Paramedics. part as a a jobs program but mostly because the level of EMS care in Pittsburg at the time was generally abysmal and specifically in the urban areas of the city. They went on to set the standard of modern pre-hospital emergency care for decades. I found it started slowly but became hard to put down. Roy
  9. I have a sunset today rather than a sunrise. It's from my second cruise on Enchantment of the Seas out of Baltimore. May 24, 2012 was a sea day enroute from Newport back to Baltimore. Roy

  11. Welcome back. Good news on the cataract surgery, Roy
  12. Happy Hump Day. Best wishes Debbie. Thank you Rich, Eva, Dixie, Ann, and Tina. I'll pass on the Tiara, Cabbage, and Escargot, but love Carlin's quote. Morse revolutionized the world with his accomplishment. Remembering my late brother today. I've been to Agadir just once, on the Wind Star in 2014. My alternative menu suggestion is Chilled Apple Vichyssoise, Fruit Cup au Natural, and Linguini with Prosciutto and Gorgonzola as served on MS Prinsendam May 24, 2015. Roy
  13. How awful. Wishing Chris a peaceful passing and healing for the family left behind. Roy
  14. @dfish great news on the 8AM arrival Wishing you a smooth procedure and quick healing. Roy
  15. Thanks Leann, Lou & Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
  16. Looks like she's swinging around: Roy Roy
  17. About half way down the Gastineau to Thane. Roy
  18. I don't think it really matters in a drydock. I am pretty Symphony is at a regular dock and probably switches periodically depending on which parts of the ship they are working with. Roy
  19. I think Westie will be on the early side, today. Unfortunately the blocker Viking Orion is already in the Gastinau while Westie is passing Grand Island. Roy
