  1. My order of preference: Shore excursions Specialty Restaurants Casino room charge for $200, cashout/print voucher, bring voucher to the casino cashier = $200 in cash
  2. Totally agree, there isn't two distinct vibes where "teenagers take over the pool deck"
  3. Enjoy your cruises! Only one more sailing has Ensenada, the XMas sailing on XMas day, in the itinerary this season. The Solstice's itineraries from now on this season are quite varied and can include ports of call in San Diego and/or Catalina island
  4. Thanks, simply trying to get specifics. There was a now deleted thread where someone claimed American Airlines wouldn’t accept the eMed test purchased from X. People were in a panic changing flights and we finally got the specifics were the passenger didn’t read the instructions and expected the American check counter to proctor the eMed for them. I’m hoping the OP cares to be more helpful by providing specifics of the X-rays process
  5. There's still time to buy the specialty dining package
  6. Thanks for the engaging review. I agree with just about everything although I prefer anytime dining. On the topic of dining in MDR, you can talk to the M'D about having the same table -Entertainment, would love a nightly comedian and some name-brand Broadway shows -Mast grill, worst food on the ship. Give us gourmet and more selection; the burger patty is flavorless and the hot dog is just awful -Eden, both the cafe and specialty restaurant have the best food and dining experience, on the ship
  7. Baffling...Now we're trying to determine if these same people are also receiving AQ upgrade offers or if only those who actually gambled received them
  8. Useable internet It can be for: The crews wellbeing, they only have very limited time off When anyone on the ship, pax or crew, encounters an emergency Passengers who choose not to burn all their vacation days and work a little while on the ship Celebrity Cruise Lines, like it or not, the youngins DEMAND the internet. Big kudos to RCG for making Starlink happen, hopefully they iron out all the kinks and it continually improves
  9. Not sure if this was for me or not, either way I believe you and appreciate the heads up. We're simply trying to get the specifics as many of us are peasants not going through the retreat area. You should definitely report this to X. Please, please, please correct me if I'm wrong...When checking into the Retreat area, you hand your carryons to the retreat host, they take the bags to the xray machine and either scan the carryons themselves or have the xray staff xray them, they found wine and told you it was too many bottles?
  10. Hence the speculation of it being a money grab, hoping folks who want the internet simply add it to their cart and checkout without a second thought
  11. That retreat person doesn’t X-ray your carryons, correct? In my experience with the non-retreat check in is that X-ray folks don’t care
  12. I believe I have been on 6 sailings out FLL since the restart, have only self carried off…Even with multiple ships in port, if you self carry off and even if you’re one of the last people to self carry off, you won’t have any issues getting a taxi
  13. I do it all the time and haven’t been served non-hot items. I won’t get into the logistics of it but will simply say, if you asked for a MDR item, they’d grab it along with other items for other people
  14. Exactly. For anyone reading this, they won't send you a bill...You can call BCC yourself and ask if you have any concerns
  15. If there are playing requirements they need to list them in the offer email
  16. Who told you? I've accidently successfully carried 3 bottles on. The X-Ray techs are looking at the screens for banned items, not counting bottles or paying attention who has which bag
  17. Can't come soon enough, can't wait for the inevitable day when you have the option order dinner off your phone on X. On planes, the newer in-flight entertainment is slowly evolving (already on newer JetBlue birds) to include bluetooth. There was a time when the powers that be thought everyone wanted to be on their phones so they thought that meant folks wanted to watch tv/movies on their phones. They learned that's only half true, that people want to use their phone. Now you have seatback screens playing the entertainment which can be controlled by your phone.
  18. Ditto. I would temper expectations because if you rate a regular X show a 4 out of 10, than an E-Class show will only raise that a point or two at the most. Every post-cruise survey I praise the crew, rate the food quality low and comment they should have a nightly comedian in addition to the 7pm and 9pm show While at a show, when sitting in the back, something we noticed is that roughly 10% of the audience is have their phones out. If it's a GOOD show (usually a powerful singer), folks will be recording the performance with their phone. If it's a bad show, they'll be doing something on their phones, not watching the show
  19. I do the same, my WAG (Wild A$$ Guess) is at best it's the same food served in the buffet and at worst the food was picked from the buffet
  20. You may want to double check that receiving water ever stopped; should be receiving two waters every morning and if you don't, need to speak with your stateroom attendant. If you want more water and plan on playing at the casino, totally fine to ask for a cocktail and two cans of water
  21. If he's playing table games he's enrolled, however may need to login and ensure the receive promotional emails checkbox is checked
  22. Are you under the assumption that you have to gamble? Just letting you know you don't...There are no requirements, you don't need to step foot in the casino
  23. Perhaps sensors are on the E-Class but they're apparently not on the older ships as the pitboss will occasionally come by and enter your betting amounts into their ipad Was told by a host (take this with a grain of salt) that its 150-200 tier points per night average to receive a free cruise
