  1. This is cruise critic, a balanced review should have pros and cons, I’ll focus on the cons Simply put, people aren’t seeing the value they used to -Price…X’s parent company, RCG, openly brags during their earnings call that they can keep raising the pricing (for context, way above inflation) and bookings don’t suffer -Food…Some food items were cut while others were downgraded, many won’t notice or care MDR sides…Most MDR entrees now come with a scoop of mashed potatoes which looks a little disappointing -Food temp…95% of the time, we have had hot enough food, we’re not the plate needs to be sizzling type but those who are claim odds have increased of receiving food not hot enough to their liking -Food service…There can just be long waits to get a table and receive your food -Bar Service…Can be long waits during peak times as I experienced this first hand with a 20 minute wait on the beyond this past spring. Some claim they cut bartenders -Alcohol availability…Name brand liquor can be out of stock with either a house replacement or no replacement at all…Also, Wine by the glass out of stock or they tell you despite what the menu says, you can only buy the entire bottle
  2. You should post in they current roll call if you already haven’t
  3. What is your perspective? I haven’t used the spa services before and don’t think I ever will…lol
  4. Was this 2021? There’s a big difference between waiting inside or outside the terminal In 2021, they had Covid rules where they had to keep the masses outside
  5. Was going to say the same yet idk exactly when the terminal doors open
  6. While I suppose X could sell ones health info, it’s mainly to protect them against liability
  7. Isn't it a Stateroom Attendant?
  8. Search youtube, there are already some videos posted
  9. You disable the VPN in iPhone settings (can search the settings for "VPN"), you connect to the ship wifi then can go back to VPN settings and turn it back on if you wish
  10. sure, those are some possible scenarios. Another could be they had to wait in line for 5mins and would rather take more now so they don’t have to wait again later. Yet my overall point remains, if it taste good, it gets eaten
  11. Like many things on Celebrity, the food looks a lot better than it tastes. The bottom line is if the food tastes good, it gets eaten, and if it's really good, people go for seconds and even thirds. Red Lobster has no problem with people's half-eaten plates, here's how the shrimp normally looks on Celebrity
  12. I spent three seconds googling and this was the first hit https://www.cruisehive.com/celebrity-cruises-introduces-extra-benefits-pass/114933
  13. If you want to be the first one to be seated at a window table you're probably going to need to get to them 20mins before they open. Also, you can show up whenever and ask to be seated at a window table and you're probably going to wait
  14. It only means one single thing, more expensive than non-small group tours (occasionally they offer both a small group and a non-small group tour). Have only done two and both were in the past year, one was around 20 people and the other around people 30
  15. I just find this surprising but realize we all have different mindsets. On any given cruise, I spent an average of an hour a day (may skip one day and spend two hours on a sea day) but I'd have no problem going on a ship without one. Perhaps you could get her to go on a casino-less cruise and take her to a land-based casino on your next trip?
  16. If your smoke detectors get set off easily or your kitchen has bad ventilation, can put the cast iron pan right over the grates of an pre-heated outdoor grill
  17. You're going to have a 45ish minute-long main show at 7pm and it repeats at 9pm. One night should be a comedian which may or may not add a 1015pm rated-x show and one night should be a magician. All other shows are going to be all musicals, this includes Broadway-style shows, concert-style shows, a show with aerialists, etc At 8pm there'll be a passenger participation game show; often an officer or two join in
  18. Have heard many complaints, but this is the first I've heard a complaint about storage. Sounds like Princess has a lot more storage
  19. I would love to hear many more of these stories
  20. Thanks for the clarification and I agree with you. However the "new CEO" is seemingly the parent group's board since they stripped the CEO title when LLP left. LLP was CEO and President, Laura is only the President
  21. Times have changed as we now have Starlink. Those who routinely interact with their friends and family via smartphones want to continue to do so while cruising. Perhaps only a handful of people are complaining about their meal
  22. Sadly on the newer ships it is. Carnival beats X with burgers, lunch guys BBQ or Shaq's fried chicken, and lobster as X still uses inferior Spiny (Carnival and RCI use superior Maine), and better complimentary food if on a newer ship (free BBQ, Mexican/Asian and Italian restaurants in addition to the MDR ) and MDR desserts like the chocolate melting cake X beats Carnival at the buffet and the MDR but as stated, if on a newer carnival ship, some speciality restaurants could be free I was a fan of X's paid chocolate chip cookie offering assuming free cookies were still available as X's free cookies are nothing to write home about and the same with Carnival. Their cookies are like picking the better cookie between Chips Ahoy and Keebler Elves
  23. X was completely silent on the 2023 cutbacks until the "Cookiegate" outrage happened. Maybe just maybe that froze the planned 2024 cutbacks
