The Wynn, and in generally flagship resort restaurants on the Vegas strip are some of the most expensive and in some cases some of the most expensive restaurants in the world. However you get top tier food quality and the chef staff is well paid. The bigger problem with specialty restaurants and this is the case for most cruises is if you book a package you cannot get restaurants until once on board and usually you’re not getting a reservation before 830pm at best unless you’re a suite guest I probably sound like a broken record that X has not improved the food quality at all since the restart, only decreases and cut menu items

Creating a thread like this is one of the best ways to obtain data points to determine if this is indeed a rumor from those who are on board as most of us are not on board right now The OP was very forthcoming, they did NOT say something like "someone told me on the internet so its officially gone!" In the title, they even had a "?" and additionally in the body of the post they said "say it ain't so"

Come to think it there was a bit more which is coincidently related to this post. Before the filet was offered on Blu (it's usually offered twice on a typical 7 night sailing), I asked for the kids filet and was told it's no longer on the Beyond and is being phased out fleet wide, they replaced it with short rib...So sounds another item deleted

With the additional lobster tail fee, RCI and Carnival were first to charge the $16.95 fee but both lines upgraded their tails from Spiny to Maine. X copied the same fee but kept the "inferior" Spiny tail; when it comes to lobster you're better off sailing on Carnival
-
Just trying to manage expectations, this no longer seems to be the case unless perhaps if you're a suite guest. Recently off the beyond and when in blu, on a night they had filet mignon, I asked if they could hold one for me for dinner tomorrow and was told "no". lol

Italy, Croatia, and Montenegro - excursions??
NutsAboutGolf replied to Bbmerzel's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Dubrovnik: Walk the old town on your own yet you'd need to get there; the ship will sell a $12/person RT but there is uber and if you're going with at least two people it CAN be cheaper Kotor: Main city is right there, there's a fortress you can visit which has a lot of stairs -
Ah, the notorious $9.99 for the entire sailing wifi upgrade voucher...Most of us remember that well, but probably not as much as X did...lol It was Cyber Monday (Monday after Thanksgiving/Black Friday), we booked one tour then for 40% off and with the current sale now its is only 35% off
-
This isn't the same but it's close, you can bring on wine and non-alcoholic drinks when first boarding or when coming back from a port...Stop at a supermarket before boarding the ship
-
There's a flash sale going on right now, it COULD be cheaper to add things individually yet you would need to purchase it in the next few days before it expires As far as I know there isn't a standard fixed fee, I'd imagine you'd pay the difference between of what you previously paid and what the current AI offer is

This was the reply I've received from X's twitter, on my Feb Solstice sailing, I can confirm it was accurate Starting January 2nd, 2023, evening/dinner hours in the Oceanview Café will have limited offerings. •One food station: The food station will host a 7-day rotational international-themed menu •A limited salad station •The pizza station •Beverage station: Water, Juices, Tea, and Coffee New fees •$9.95 room service fee •Additional $16.95 lobster tail fee (despite not changing to a Maine lobster tail like RCI and Carnival

I've been on X 113 nights since the restart, I have not seen a SINGLE increase in food quality, only cutbacks including shrinking portions and tougher meats As I've said many times, good thing we don't cruise for the food
-
Some may consider it to be snarky, some may not, we can only say "search before posting" so many times

https://www.businessinsider.com/cruise-ship-overbooked-family-bumped-could-lose-airfare-hotel-money-2023-5 I wanted to post this before someone else does who might say "OMG, $6K loss?" and also want it to be a wakeup call. First, if you didn't know, X switched to a smaller ship and some people had to get bumped Despite this story's headline of a "$6K loss", they quote the passenger who states they can't rebook their flights to next year AT THE MOMENT because the airline schedule isn't out yet...So they're NOT out $6K as they could cancel, receive an airline credit and rebook once the schedule comes out For the wake up call, you overall should never book any travel arrangement that do not allow changes/cancellations unless you're willing to accept the FULL financial loss in an event you need to cancel and that reason isn't covered by a travel insurance policy you may have booked
-
Got it, not sure why then
-
During the booking, you can select the number of adults and children, I'm GUESSING that's where the "from $0" is coming from. Select 1 or 10 kids, they're all free
-
The HOHO bus is probably free for kids (with the intent being in conjunction with at least one purchased adult ticket) hence the "from" is my WAG (Wild A$$ Guess)
-
It seems there isn't an excursion pre-cruise wait list, we cancelled two tours that were sold out and were able to rebook them
-
Paid in full for cruise, now received balance due

After reading @Jim_Iain thread where X was close to cancelling everything including all their reservations I would call just to be sure; I've also had a couple of issues with X before that could only be fixed by me calling in and bringing it to their attention -
Elite wifi discount with pre-cruise pricing
NutsAboutGolf replied to webecruzin2's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Great. An issue I've experienced first hand is if you call regular X, the reps might not stack the discount. Yet if you call CC you should get the discounts stacked
