  1. One interesting datapoint, we were considering flying in from different locations due to a work trip. We searched international flights by X which defaulted to two adults, found a flight we wanted for me...Realizing it for two, we dropped it to one adult hoping for the same per person price, nope! The outbound flight was 3x and the return was 2x, yet X recommended different flights as they were cheaper We did wonder but did not try, what if we booked the 2 adults with the lower fare online and call X to cancel one, what would the price be? You can cancel flights by X flights within 24 hours for a full refund without a cancel/change fee
  2. Yes but bookings with them are excluded from MoveUp...Unless something changed, you do not need a costco membership to apply for the Citi Costco Credit card
  3. Visual aid since the X made the button transparent/easy to miss for some reason...
  4. On our next sailing, there's only me and my girl, we both have flights by celebrity booked and can still search different flights when logged in. We can also use the "view itinerary" option if not logged in. I'm WAG ("Wild A$$ Guess") is we cannot actually book them online and would need to call
  5. You should apply for a card with generous travel rewards...Even if you never shop at Costco, thanks to the popularity of Costco you get some great rewards and no annual fee with the Citi Costco...4% back on gas and 3% back on BOTH travel and dining
  6. Wonder if BoA will let you convert this card to another co-branded card with higher rewards/lower spending requirements?
  7. Typically arriving between 630pm-730pm will result in the longest wait times
  8. We have a new CEO, let's see what happens if anything after she's settled in. Most prefer to make their presence known under their rein vs status quo. Personally, I'm hoping for better complimentary food as my chief complaints are baked desserts, chicken dishes, classic sirloin and the entire Mast Grill. I'd also recommend more entertainment including GOLF swing simulators (I understand they once had them and not popular but that was old technology)
  9. Was thinking the exact same, could see them creating two "interior balcony" staterooms
  10. And here I am wanting a day time show or two to pass the time. X already got rid of the library on the E-Class, I highly doubt they'll bring it back to the next class. I understand that many prefer physical books to E-Readers but I definitely see more people using e-readers in the Solarium than I see people reading a physical book anywhere on the ship
  11. While I agree, the space seems way too small
  12. The best verification is to use ID.me which actually confirms you served yet, X/RCG would need to pay for that. Otherwise having a check-in employee at the terminal glance at an ID or DD214 printout isn't all that effective as they can easily be faked
  13. If you search the airlines site or google flight, do your previous flights still exist? Airlines altering flights or aircrafts isn’t uncommon but I would agree that if the previous flights still exist, very strange for X to change them
  14. To the OP, my advice is if you have a smartphone to use the app. If you can’t go the app route, if you can’t location your email with the flight confirmation, check your spam folder and if still nothing, call them and ask them to send it again
  15. If you don’t mind, which airline and when they changed did they use the same or a different airline?
  16. I respect the deceased and their families wishes not to mention they may have paid for or inherited a burial plot. For myself however, I agree with you; if I die at sea, perform a burial at sea
  17. You do have to your due diligence with insurance as simply having a random policy might not cover every situation. This is true in the US with health insurance
  18. Yes, I stand corrected as I was only aware of the military discount similar to the resident discount at booking
  19. In the OPs case, it would appear they just threw them a bone; there isn't a standard "bonus". When you book, there MAY be a military discount, there MAY be a resident discount, there MAY be a first responder discount, etc
  20. When you go into manage booking, is there a $200 balance? Definitely bring the paperwork but I'm 99% sure you won't need to show anything at check in; once you pass the check-in staff who have ipads, only if you have a balance will they send you over to one of the billing desks. If the ipad staff just waves you through it don't mention the DD214/discount; you cannot board if there's a balance (which would appear online if there was one) and if they wave you through you're good
  21. We almost never see passengers vs cruise line trials…It would seem X is at fault and the failure was that there wasn’t a backup to the morgues cooler…Shooting from the hip here, perhaps X thought the drink cooler was an adequate backup hence why there hasn’t been a settlement yet as the event happened years ago and the complaint was recently filed ”The morgue broke, our engineers worked day and night to fix it but were unable to as they needed additional parts…So we did the next best thing which was to store it in the cooler, we’ll throw ya a bone of $10k, take it or leave it”
  22. Agree, I always say I see (dine most of the time in Blu) "dress code violations" every sailings including on Chic nights...When other passengers complain to the M'D will the M'D approach the offenders on the way out and tell them to not wear the offending item next time I'm not pointing out any specific person, many seem to makeup a vague story in their head about being turned away when it never happened in hopes others would be influenced to follow the suggested dress code
  23. The problem is if one is selfish they don't think being selfish is a negative...The narcissist test is surprisingly simply and only has one question which is..."Are you a narcissist?" An actual narcissist would not be embarrassed to admit they are one...Wear I live you encounter a lot of them
  24. According to AI which is not always accurate, both the app and the elimination of the life vest happened in 2019
