  1. 1) Desserts from specialties 2) Gelato 3) If on the E-Class, Eden cafe cookies and brownies 4) Ice Cream X has never been known for their baked goods which tend to be extremely bland...If you close your eyes, you might not be able to tell which cake is chocolate and which is vanilla
  2. I've been a huge fan of tech and have championed having the OPTION to order dinner item the app. Celebrity has seemingly been very resistant to passenger technological innovations, perhaps things will change under the new leaderships and/or once they get more $$$
  3. Absolutely, most upscale cruise lines have a lot more pros than cons, one con can higher pricing
  4. I've heard their food is great yet I would imagine most upscale lines use higher quality and do not overcook things
  5. What exactly are you wanting? Sometimes if you tell them exactly what you want with compensation, assuming it reasonable they'll just give you what you ask for
  6. If you hold a AMEX platinum you can get to the Fast Track Security Lane for free by just showing your card. Here's the ITALIAN URL, you would need to translate the page if you can't read Italian; in google chrome screenshot, I circled the translate button https://www.americanexpress.com/it-it/benefici/viaggi/air/the-platinum-card/fast-track-program/
  7. Sure but on a typical 7 night cruise you'd get 14 free waters; if you paid for the water that's around $50-$60? A nice minor perk with AQ but not a major one like Blu restaurant access
  8. Two per night (no free AQ waters on disembarkation day)
  9. I was wondering if taxes were a reason. Oddly enough, I saw this sign which is about anti-laundering and not taxes; seems that X doesn't track casino $$$ for customs purposes. Yet this sign is technically incorrect as you're supposed to file when you're carrying $10K+ off the ship, so if you did 3 $5K room charges for a total of $15K, gambled all cruise long, lost $4500 total and walked off the ship with $10,500 you're still supposed to file a customs form despite losing
  10. Will be cash, term is known as "Hand Pay" where a casino employee comes over to "verify" the machine...Primary reason for this is so others in the casino see a big win...I'm not a slot player so am not sure what the win amount needs to be, probably $1000-$1500
  11. Cash. They would only write a check if the cash amount is $10K+ but I'm no longer sure if they're still doing that
  12. My WAG (Wild A$$ Guess) are most people buying either used bags, used rolexs or "art" have an unusually large amount of OBC due to the pandemic
  13. It seems to be ship specific to how much they'll throttle. On the Solstice and Millie, with premium, down rarely exceeds 2mbps unless it's very late at night or early in the morning
  14. I have received the CC discount but not pre-sailing discount
  15. Depends on CC status but it's no more than $15/night without status Yes; FYI, it's per night and not per day Yes
  16. 100% agree and @golfer1903 should let that person know they're wrong to prevent the spread of misinformation
  17. I believe you can control the lights in the app. I personally see no value to this and think it's quicker to turn on/of the physical light switch then it would be to open the app and navigate to the lights
  18. For many it's all about beaches and booze and isn't about the actual destination and/or culture. Many simply love nothing more than to park their butts on a lounger on a tropical beach at every port. Also so many cruisers live within driving distance to all florida embarkation ports; quick and easy to just drive there and not deal with the whole airport experience especially compared to flying internationally to somewhere like Europe It should also be noted that the majority who book AI land resorts never leave the resort; again all about the "beaches and booze
  19. Thanks for sharing! Have a serious question, in the MDR is the Beyond serving the kids filet mignon?
  20. Not on the E-Class...Recently got off the Carnival Panorama which is a newer ship which had it, they all had blank white cards already inserted...This is what your E-Class light switch will look like
  21. Another thing about Virgin is they pay their employees an actual salary with benefits and give them free unlimited wifi. None of the big cruise lines do that
  22. Other than souvenir purposes, I wouldn't take home any chips. There's no reward to brining home chips so it's all risk that for whatever reason X decides to stop accepting older chips
  23. Longer sailings require kids to miss more school, that's the primary reason, not price. Speaking of price, TAs/TPs have very attractive per night pricing and if one is comparing for example, a TA to a Med sailing, with the TA you can save a little on airfare as you'll most likely only need one international flight
  24. With SW you'll want to check in as early as possible (right at 24 hours) to get a better boarding position...However that has nothing to do with the boarding pass which can be printed quickly at the airport
