  1. It was pending on Amex for about one day but now it shows as purchased. My case is somewhat different than most. I originally used the Amex offer the day I received it to pay off the balance of my February cruise a week after paying this amount with another credit card. My TA called NCL and the rep said they would transfer credit cards. A week later the Amex purchase was cancelled and put back on the original credit card and NCL told my TA the rep made a mistake and it could only be transferred from one cc to another within 48 hours. So now I didn't have the offer anymore. We called Amex up and after speaking with many departments they said they would reinstate the offer but it never came back to my list. They told us not to worry and just make an NCL purchase and the $350 will come off. And now we have emails from them to prove this. So I just purchased the two $500 OBC gift certificates on Friday. Here's hoping the discount will appear on my next statement. We were assured again by Amex that it will when we called again yesterday.
  2. I just bought myself OBC for my upcoming cruise. Took a screenshot of the confirmation and they said an official email confirmation will come in 24 hours. Never got that email but when I checked my account the purchased OBC was there.
  3. My 14 day Island Caribbean originally was to be in November 2020 on the Sky. On the roll call before COVID cancelled it no one ever mentioned a meet and greet. Then it was changed to the Caribbean Princess for 2021 and still no mention. That sailing was changed to the Enchanted Princess for 2022 and about 9 pages in someone finally asked about a meet and greet. I volunteered to do it and wound up with 130 people wanting to come. 100 actually did show up .
  4. Enjoying the review. We are on the Getaway out of NY in February.
  5. There have been several threads here posted by people worried about the May 28th Pride sailing out of Barcelona. It is right after dry dock too. It is no longer bookable and not on any port schedules. John Heald says it is still on but we who are booked feel in limbo and Carnival isn't helping.
  6. Paul McCartney would be so proud.
  7. I just organized one for our 14 day Enchanted last month. We had over 100 attend. Our CD Jamie introduced the officers and was very entertaining. We had a gift exchange where you stole someone else's gift if you didn't like what you got. It was hysterical. We had a luncheon the following day and many made new friends for the whe cruise. We had a slot pull with 40 participants. We doubled our money so had another one later in the cruise. There was a bar crawl which everyone who attended had a great time. On sea days we had LRC games. For my next three cruises no one has mentioned a meet and greet and I don't feel like doing it again. Maybe in the future.
  8. We are also on the B2B in June. I was watching air fares for some months and the prices barely came down so wound up using miles plus cash. I have also paid an additional amount toward this cruise because of a special credit card promotion. I'm scheduled for another payment on this promotion in January but I might put it on the June cruise instead. The promotion is for any travel. I have pre paid the internet but didn't purchase any excursions yet. Now I'm a little worried about the June 9th sailing seeing some who have Pride sailings later in the year may be having unusual signals, although it is still bookable and it is on all the port schedules, unlike the May 28th Pride cruise.
  9. I am also on the May 28th Pride. I was one of the people who asked John Heald about this cruise and he told me we were definitely going. Then I read that some say he is sometimes wrong so I wrote to the customer service department and got a reply to just check with my TA.
  10. I'm not sure whether it was the Hampton or Hilton Gardens but last year someone on our roll call said the shuttle left before breakfast even opened up. It was around 7:30am.
  11. We are not going until February. Will someone going in December or January let us know if the free ferry is running now?
  12. I'm not sure what happened. I got the offer on 12/5 late in the evening and again with an apology for the delay last week. Log into your account and pick one of the cruises you want in 2023. The first responders price may come up automatically. I think there was a PDF showing which cruises were available.
  13. I am relatively new to Carnival, having only sailed once but do have 5 more booked, two in 2023 that is with a travel agent and 3 in 2024 that I booked myself online because I got a terrific offer direct from Carnival. All of these cruises were paid with various amounts of down payments according to length of cruise. The two for May, 2023 (b2b) final payment is due in February, 2023. Final payment for one in February, 2024 is not due until November, 2023 and final payment for the other two in April, 2024 (s2s) is not due until February, 2024. Today I got an email from Carnival asking for a payment on one of the cruises for 2024. Is this normal? I have never been asked for a payment before final on any of the other cruise companies before. The only one I have done with Carnival I made the total payment upon booking because it was a last minute deal.
  14. Was searching some other 3rd party port schedules and found this. Maybe there is hope.
  15. Okay. But why is this cruise NOT LISTED ON ANY CRUISE PORT SCHEDULES?????? (Yes, I'm shouting because I'm frustrated, not at you LOL.)
  16. I decided to go up the food chain for some answers. First I emailed arlenebrown@carnival.com. She is head of customer service. If I don't hear anything back I will email Christine Duffy at cduffy@carnival.com. She is president. Maybe others want to email too.
  17. Unfortunately I don't have that alternative. Our June 9th Norway cruise was booked with FCC from a cancelled cruise during covid with $600 OBC and non refundable deposits. When Carnival had their 50% off sale back in April we added the May 28th cruise. We already have the Venezia booked for February 2024.
  18. I am also on the May 28th cruise with a b2b for the June 9th cruise. I kept checking the flights from Newark to Barcelona and back from London every week for several months. The only nonstop flight was on United and the total price for just the two of us was over $3000. Fly2Fun was around $2200. I noticed the available seats were staring to dwindle so then I decided to book with FTF but now they were not offering this flight anymore. So I wound up using an exorbitant amount of miles plus cash to book with United. I have also put in tons of hours researching the ports to try to pick the best excursions. I have also contacted John Heald and he also assured me that this cruise is still on. In addition we have received a special upgrade email from Carnival which we did not take because we wanted to stay in the same cabin for both segments. Why would they do this if they might cancel? .
  19. I am on a b2b May/June 2023 and also have no tours for the Norway part and missing some tours for the other sailing. There is a tour company run by a person named Sandra who usually does these port tours too but she also has nothing for Norway. I asked her on her other social media page and she responded that she is having a lot of trouble getting vendors but should have them up soon.
  20. I also looked at cruises far in advance where there were no sailaway rates and only free at sea rates. When the sailaway rates were finally added they appeared to be the same or more than the FAS rates were then and now the FAS rates were at least $100pp more than they were previously. I once took a balcony sailaway rate and got stuck with the privasea balcony at the very front of the ship. Never again. Thankfully that cruise was cancelled because of covid.
  21. I had read that you can only upgrade to unlimited until the first full day and they will just take off one day from the total cost.
  22. When I booked the Epic back in 2017 for a 2018 sailing the show was suppose to be Blue Man Group. Then they switched it for Pricilla. Was very disappointed. It's been five years now so their contract must be up for renewal or something else.
  23. Also will be on the Getaway in Feb. but not your sailing. Was on the Breakaway twice and enjoyed the dueling pianos. Must sign up the first day for the production shows. Have to be at Syd's an hour before show to get a seat. The lamb chops and filet in Cagneys are my favorites. Their seven layer cake is to die for. Le Bistro's filet is great too. So is their mushroom soup and escargot. You have to be a big meat eater at Moderno. I was stuffed after the second round.
