  1. Just read this? Unknown before the reading? Is that the lol part?
  2. Do you approach the commode with your eyes closed? Do you "back-in" from the door? Does your bung orifice make that beeping sound when in reverse? Enquiring minds want to know.
  3. Updates: David's is gone, as is David, and the bottle of wine deal. It is now Fahrenheit 555 with a price bump. Ken Byrne has gone the way of the statue of David. He was GREAT, but he is gone. I don't know if it is permanent; I know he lives/lived in the Baltimore are and wanted to work from there. I found the new Maitre D' evasive when explaining an unannounced change in the early dinner time from when the cruises were booked. No updates came in advance. I had sailed on Pride five times previous to my 4/28/24 cruise. I have 41 cruises on five different lines. Pride has been the ONLY ship I choose set dining. Had always been the dinners I liked most. On the 4/28 cruise, I went to the dining room the first night - only. Not what it was in many respects. The lunch and breakfast buffets were fine. Dinner was the worst I have ever encountered. Only three of their four stations were open at night. One was the Deli for sandwiches; one was for pay shellfish meals, and only one with actual dinner food. The Pride stations are quite small, so there are very limited choices. Broccoli and carrots (mixed together) were the only non-starch vegetable offered. One night they were carving turkey. The "dressing" they offered was large chunks of their stale crusted breads, covered with a white, milk like liquid to soften. If you're old enough, think Pablum. And no cranberry sauce. And I am not a picky eater. A can of Chef Boyardee ravioli with some Velvet melted is da' bomb for me. The evening buffet was terrible. Surprising since breakfast and lunch were good. On the other hand: Yes, good, quick eats at Guys and Iguana. The two SeaDay brunches were great. The ship is in very good shape and I have always liked its design. One of my favorites. The public area are very good. Cruise director's entertainment staff were great. One of the pools is salt water. Far superior as a disinfectant. Feels great during and after a swim. Good mattresses; second only to Princess. Air conditioning worked well, and I like it cool. They still do the Wobble and Cupid Shuffle at the sailaway gathering! Always a plus. Would I give Pride another try - sure - if it sailing out of Baltimore again (I can drive there in two hours, and there is no easier port) and if dining reviews show improvement. I hope that happens; I really like the ship itself.
  4. Sailed Pride recently. Preordered two six-packs of Diet Pepsi. It was delivered as one 12-pack. Also ordered and received a 12-pack of bottled water.
  5. That's crossed my mind, also. How would turnaround be handled with a port shift?
  6. For those who have sailed out of Norfolk on Pride or Legend or those about to sail Pride out of Norfolk . . . HELP! For my 4/28 sailing on Pride, we had been notified that we would get an update email one-week before sailing. Well, we got the email yesterday and it is completely useless and lacking information. 1. The only itinerary you can access from the email is the original, listing departure from Baltimore. 2. There is NO mention anywhere of a Norfolk departure. 3. Thinking I would get insight from the parking info button, I clicked. It lists all Carnival ports and their available parking. 4, The button for Cedar Grove contains outdated information with NO adjustment/update for the current situation. The sailing is in 6 days and we have NO relevant information from Carnival! Might anyone who has recently sailed after being rescheduled to Norfolk or anyone who is about to sail Pride able to fill in the blanks? Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  7. So, the recommendation from Carnival to drop luggage at the terminal and then go park is not a good option? I can pull up a map of the harbor area. Where is the Carnival recommended parking? Have there been porters at the parking area to collect ship luggage or do they expect it to be lugged aboard the buses? Thanks for any and all help.
  8. Hi, Len! My wife used to like going to the raffles in the spas before sail away and hope to win something. We went to one on an Allure cruise and won a two-day inaugural cruise on Harmony when it came to the U.S. It was fantastic; invited guests only. No expenses; SeaPass cards were never asked for except for specialty restaurants in the evening. It wasn't cruising full, so we were able to go to 5 shows in the two days. Even a limited amount of photos were included. And we each received a really nice, sturdy good-sized travel bag. I still use it to bring my two twelve-packs of soda onboard. I'd like another shot at something like that.
  9. When I go to the Cruise Planner, it's listed in the price. You'll have to check with RCI on the since when. .
  10. Hey, Clifton Parker! I had originally paid $88.98, but it dropped to the same $38.99 (as it should since we are on the same cruise. I canceled and rebooked. I also saw that waterpark cabanas are on sale for diamond + for $288.98. It comes with 6 admission tickets.
  11. The reason behind this downgrade in customer service??? Seems to correspond to so many current downgrades and pricing increases. Liberty - and I don't mean Mutual!
  12. What a pithy observation. A modern day Oscar Wilde or Dorothy Parker.
  13. Hello again, kids. I'm doing a B2B in late January, and each leg stops at Princess Cay. Are the drink benefits of the Plus package valid for use there? Thanks.
  14. Hi, folks. I've done three Princess cruises in the past. Each was a seven-day itinerary, so laundry was not an issue. I have a back-to-back on the Caribbean Princess starting January 21. What method/s of payment are accepted at the laundry. Thanks in advance.
  15. Hi kids, I wanted to check to see if anyone who has purchased the Cocoa Beach Club pass has had difficulty in finding open chairs/umbrellas. Thanks in advance.
  16. Len, though we haven't met, I know by the roll calls that we have been on several of the same sailings. Anthem, Grandeur, Enchantment. 17. I have always liked it there and still wonder "what if?".
