  1. You say that you can see the standard 7 menus. Do you really need to know which five will be on your cruise now?
  2. Ignore the names - this is hopelessly outdated. But it gives you the email addresses, so you can use that contact information to find out what you want.' Current Concierges - NEW! - Google Sheets
  3. No, you can just go to the front of the line. (expect glares)
  4. The food was WONDERFUL on the Discovery Princess last month.
  5. I watch the zipliners go by. Most are wearing shorts, not "long pants, leggings or capris". A SKORT IS FINE. @gluecksbaer. Everything is fine.
  6. Have you done that recently? The Windjammer is a mere shadow of its former self.
  7. Just because it's a fun way to add to this thread..................... During at least one, and possibly two (maybe three?) recent transatlantics, there were so many Pinnacles on board that they closed the Solarium and only Pinnacles were permitted to eat there. (because they weren't allowed in Coastal Kitchen) So, perhaps you may wish to avoid transatlantics.
  8. There's a forum on CC for family cruising: Family Cruises: Ask a Question - Cruise Critic Message Board Forums
  9. You see? Everything is personal opinion. I really did not care for Grease, and I like Saturday Night Fever even less, but I always enjoy CATS.
  10. Park Cafe and Windjammer both have bagels in the morning. 🙂
  11. The main dining rooms are on Decks 3 & 4. If you have early traditional dining, you will be assigned a specific dining room. It will be on your SeaPass card, which you will get when the cabins become available on boarding day. (It's in a little holder next to your doorway). With a JS, you may dine in Coastal Kitchen for dinner, on a space available basis. Usually they make you ask each day, rather than making reservations for the week.
  12. It absolutely varies from ship to ship, from sailing to sailing. Not standard across the fleet by any means.
  13. Same price = two times your bid. One person, two people, three people, four people. two times your bid. (they should just make the bid, the price. But nooooooooooooooooo. Some psychologist told them that this works better <roll eyes>)
  14. Open the app after you board. You will see the shows and I am sure that many if not all of the times will have availability. There is also a standby line at all shows, and almost always almost everyone gets in.
  15. At CAPE Liberty, the security line for handicapped is the far left lane. It's not necessarily faster, but they are accustomed to dealing with wheelchairs and other assistive devices. After you go through security, there are about a million check in desks, with almost no waiting. If you arrive after 10:30, you will probably be able to go directly onto the ship after check in, without being in the waiting section. If you DO have to wait, the section is all the way to the left after check in. There is an elevator, and either someone there will help, or you can take him there yourself. I would get help because after that point, someone else should push him up the boarding ramps. Anyone in the terminal can radio for someone to do that for you.
  16. Less than 9 years. Originally Oasis had Hairspray.
  17. They had it on the Enchantment in January. I haven't asked for it since on any other ship.
  18. I understand what you are saying. I just came off a Princess cruise and had the Premium Plus package. I agree that the PACKAGE has better value than RC's DBP. But I will also tell you that my cruise fare on Princess was twice as much as it would have been on an equivalent RC cruise. The money has to come from somewhere.
