  1. While in the cabin you can order from the tv
  2. Most stores and restaurants all take credit cards or debt cards. One restaurant near me in Toronto only takes cash or debt. If going to a craft or flea markets, you might need Canadian cash. Taxi, you might want to ask before getting in if they take a credit card.
  3. Can you purchase Princess Vacation Protection (PVP) in Australia? To claim PVP for - - medical reasons - full refund on credit card - Cancel for Any Reason - refunded as Future Cruise Credit less cost of PVP.
  4. Since going solo, you are paying 2x cruise fare, 1x tax/port tax, if there were any cabins. Tell the agent she found a second person and wants to book a cabin. Since you said cabins are available, I would pick a cabin for 2 since you would be paying 2x anyway and put any name and birthday down with your address for the second person. Pay the whole cruise with her credit card. When the second person does not show up, Princess will eventually refund the tax/port tax for the second. She might never clear the waitlist.
  5. You can order from breakfast room service menu and from Ocean Ready app
  6. The buses in FLL are very, very slow. We take #40 bus from Best Western Oceanside, the beach area to 17th St for restaurants and can wait more than 30 to see a bus. If the bridge is up the wait is longer. Take a taxi or Uber much faster, they are not expensive.
  7. No longer called “Formal Night” now Dress to Impress night. People wear what is comfortable for them, - woman - dress, pants with fancy tops, long dress, pant suit, skirt - men - dress slack, with or without jacket, button down shirt with or without tie, 3 button golf type of shirt with nice slacks, tuxedo, suits Some change after dining for shorts. With most people flying and weight limits for luggage, more are watching what they bring.
  8. I also use YYZ Express to go through the fast line for security at Pearson.
  9. While on the Island, it had Alfredo’s and Salt Dog Gastropub had one or the other on 2 different sea days in one of the 2 specialty dining rooms.
  10. If going to Canada, down the app ArriveCAN, another fast pass entrance to Canada.
  11. On my 2019 cruise, I tried to order a drink, my phone showed cabin location, I switched to my iPad and it showed at Princess Live location. I used my IPad at Princess Live. I never received the drink after a 45 wait, my Ipad kept showing Being Prepared. We left and my drink had been sitting at the bar the whole time. I took a sip and handed it back as it was by that time had been water down with the melting ice and got a new drink.
  12. I found this on Facebook. Some ships might have the wrong dining rooms listed.
  13. Usually if you book any Princess excursion, on the excursion voucher you get in your cabin, will tell you where to meet and time. If the time/meeting place is not mentioned go to the Excursion desk on the ship.
  14. Add her dietary needs on her app It is easier if you take the same table/time in the same dining room each night. The head waiter, will come over to your table each night with the next night’s menu and ask her what she wants to eat. Can also order a special meal for dining room on port days when one dining room will be open. Try dining room for breakfast. Mention your mom’s dietary needs when you first sit down. At the buffet, ask for the chef and he will help find the correct food.
  15. Salt Dog Gastropub and Alfredo were pop ups on a sea days on the Island.
  16. If the ship has to wait for a late Princess excursion, sometimes the ship has to go faster and use more fuel to get to the next port on time. There is no benefit for the ship to sabotage any excursion, Princess does own the tour companies vehicles.
  17. I now try to book balcony cabins near or across from the elevators. On some ships (Sky/Enchanted) these balcony cabins across from the back elevator , the square feet of these balconies are a little bigger than others.
  18. Was the notification that the Premier Inn West Quay’s restaurant was closed during your visit, how were you were notified by their website or they send you an email?
