  1. X normally wants you out of your cabin by 8am. Off the ship by 9:30am. X must zero out the ship before they can start the new passengers boarding. We normally dont show up until 11:30 after the rush.
  2. Can you print luggage tags from the app?
  3. Through Viator We have 12 hours in Reykjavik so I've reserved 4 spaces on the 6 hour Golden Circle tour which takes in the geothermal area and the Gulfoss falls. The geysers are nothing like "Old Faithful", but interesting never the less. It still leaves us plenty of time afterwards to look at the city as well. I've left Isafjordor free, nothing appeals too much tour wise there so we'll probably just wander or see if we can find a whale/puffin watching trip. We have 11 hours in Akureyri so I've put a reservation on a tour to Lake, Myvatn, Hot Springs & Godafoss falls (apparently a "do not miss" for this port of call). It's similar to the Reykjavik tour in that we see the much of the countryside, but takes in the volcanic landscapes and the lava fields (old ones not the current ones). This is another 6 hour trip and picks up from the port. We should have 3 hours left at the end to look around the town. The Golden Circle is £56 per person The Lake Myvatn is £123.21 per person The Golden Circle we met our bus at the bus terminal in town. The Lake Myvatn tour we met the bus at the cruise terminal.
  4. While I do remember getting a pager once for Blu. We were on Apex out of Southampton recently during the UEFA European Championship. After the game I went directly to Luminae to get a table for 4. The other 3 said there was a long line of guest wanting to dine. It is called timing and planning.
  5. We were on Apex in a Sky Suite. I thought the balcony dividers opened. I just watched a video on YouTube that you can see the hinges on the dividers.
  6. We were on Apex last month. I asked about booking Silversea and the answer was not at this time.
  7. Friends are on Quantum of the Seas this week. We are sailing to Alaska out of Vancouver BC next month on Solstice.
  8. Last month we did private transfer from South Hampton to LHR. We were picked up at 9am. We were at Windsor by 11am. We did 2 hours in Windsor, then drop off at terminal 5 about 1pm for a 4 pm flight. We were flying 1st class so check in was quick.
  9. 30 days are for document and luggage tags. I think online checking is 45 days before. Time is based on local time zone of ships port.
  10. It has been a few years since we ate in Blu. We were on Solstice Class ship. DH ask about getting a waffle. The staff in Blu went to the Oceanview Cafe to get the waffles.
  11. Apex also has a bar with no seats. Sky Aqua Suites do not get champagne, it is sparkling wine.
  12. We were just on Apex last month. We ate at Fine Cut Steakhouse and Eden. Both were over priced. We had a ton of OBC. My meal in Eden was not good. The filet Mignon was ok, but the mini short rib wellington was just bad. Dry with no flavor. I thought about Rooftop Garden. As we were in Iceland I was not interested in eating dinner outside.
  13. Through the app you can view MDR menu on the current sailing of Beyond.
  14. How many people like hearing a blender crushing ice in a lounge.
  15. I dont remember seeing anyone with a blended drink in the Retreat Lounge last month on Apex. That being said. The E Class ships can make blended drinks at the Retreat Pool Bar one deck up.
  16. Through the app you can look at your ships current sailing. Our next cruise is on Solstice out of Vancouver BC to Alaska. I can look at the Solstice current sailing menu's so I can pre booking what nights I want to do specialty restaurant or to dine in Luminae.
  17. We were just on Apex and were able to cast YouTube on to the tv with Celebrity tv options. We were in a Sky Suite.
  18. As this SS is right next to the Aqua SS and on the Starboard side. I think you will have very little noise from above. I would have your TA put a hold on the 2124 suite.
  19. You are so close. X has the execution at Hubbard Glacier for $526.05 on sale 5% now $498.99 pp.
  20. Here is a photo from 6053. The cabin on the opposite side. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/ships/popup-deckpics.php?r=22405
  21. I agree with you. That is why I try to avoid booking any of the E Class ships. Only done Edge 3/2019 and Apex 6/2024. We have sailed 6 non E Class ships between 2019 and 2024 with Celebrity. 2 more non Edge Class ships on the books.
  22. Because you can order off the MDR on Celebrity's other 9 ships in Luminae. Even on E Class ships you can order off any of the MRD restaurants menus. Dining in the Cosmopolitan restaurant and you can order items from Cyprus restaurant. Items exclusive to Cyprus.
  23. This is the main reason we do not book E-Class ships. We were on Apex earlier this month for 11 nights in a Sky Suite. Friends picked Apex. We ate 1 night in Fine Cuts, 1 night in Eden, 1 night in Cyprus, the rest in Luminae. The steaks at all the restaurants were not very good. The meat did not have much flavor. My best overall meal was in Cyprus. I did have the salmon in Luminae off the every night menu and it was good. I did try one of the fish dishes off the Luminae menu and it was just horrible. DH ate off the children's menu at least 2 nights in Luminae. Just did our check in for our Sept cruise on Eclipse. We will be in a RS. I booked Murano and Tuscan Grille to compare meat quality. It will be nice to be able to order off the MDR on Eclipse. I'll take any older ship any time over limited food in Luminae on the E-Class ships.
  24. For us it would be the location of the Aqua Sky Suites on the S Class ships. The ASS used to be Sky Suite S1, before X rebranded them. You do get additional things. Dedicated spa concierge and personal consultant* Complimentary fitness classes (Offering varies by cruise length)
