  1. We will be there in 20 days....so will report back on current condition of beach. Sounds like a major improvement .
  2. As long as you have the Official CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card with the CDC logo in upper right hand corner. My card has stickers which say, for example- : MODERNA Bivalent 0.05ML Lot #AS7143 Date and healthcare professional or clinic site. I think if yours is similar, you should be fine. They are looking for fully vaccinated status( Minimum 2 doses) Your second dose cannot be within 14 days of sailing. Many of us have had boosters so more than 2 doses will be on card. When we did this they were checking more for matching names and birthdates with boarding documents.
  3. They may have done a renovation of that beach. I noticed 5 large piles of sands across the bay in “back”. YC Director, Robbie, drove us back to ship. I asked what the plan was for the sand. He said it was for renovation of the beaches. This was November 2021. When we were there, it looked just like SirWolf pics. I walked along beach and collected glass from broken bottles and gave it to lifeguard.
  4. When we were there, there were cabanas and sparse occupancy. It is area to left of YC restaurant. I am including pics we took when we explored that beach area. This was taken outside the back of the YC Ocean house restaurant. The blue building is where they cook the food. We walked to the left, past the rocky area. Found that beautiful beach. Note cabanas on left of beach picture. This was November 2021, low occupancy. Cabanas not occupied.
  5. US residents Vaccinated - testing recommended but not required Unvaccinated- test required/ lab administered test no more than three days before embarkation. So, for Sunday….Thursday, Friday Or Saturday testing. International Guests Vaccination required and test required/ lab administered test within 3 days of embarkation. So for Sunday…Thursday, Friday or Saturday testing. this is my take on current MSC Caribbean sailings
  6. We booked a cruise on Thursday. It Did not show on our list of cruises, when I checked the next day. it finally appeared yesterday. Wanted to check and make sure our $50pp OBC was on the Cruise Details. Cabin was also correct. ( for now🙄) Just be patient… Also, do you have a login account for MSC? I use that when checking cruises.
  7. Exactly this ! Last fall, BUDGET was a mess. After getting off ship, Two long lines waiting for shuttle bus to rental office. One small shuttle every 20 minutes. Finally get to rental office…..NO Fastbreak at this location. Stand in line with all, even those w/out reservations. Cruising out of Port Canaveral this fall. Renting car at MCO to hotel, overnight. Next morning to Port rental office. Enterprise, Not as cheap as Budget but worth it to avoid this office.
  8. Thanks so much for the tips! Looking forward to trying a new ship, for us. I remember you did Meraviglia then Divina (B2B) last fall. We had your cabin on Meraviglia right after you did. 😉 Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Prima. Safe travels.
  9. YMMV Unfortunately, this was not the case for our last Haven cruise. May, Bliss to Alaska. No bar mix available , M & M’s occasionally in observation lounge. Did receive a plate of cookies. No longer soft and chewy. Very hard. received one small plate each afternoon with items not at all what NCL used to provide. Too bad they they seem to be in cost cutting mode. As far as tipping… use what information posters have provided as a guide. Then, do what feels right for your situation. We tipped our Butler both at beginning and then at end. Also, room steward. We did not tip Concierge. He never interacted or introduced himself to us. We had no need for his services and he had no idea who we were. Last morning , he approached us and asked if we were Haven guests. We were waiting for time to disembark.
  10. Wow, sounds like fun. I am assuming you are on the Prima? We are booked on Prima next September (2023). I just completed check in for our cruise on Divina , in October. This will be a new ship for us, looking forward to YC on this ship. Again, Have a great trip.
  11. I guess it depends what region you are cruising. We sailed Caribbean and quality of beef was excellent. Sailed NCL in May, in Haven. Cruise to Alaska. Steak in Haven restaurant was not good. Tough and not proper cut for fillet. Most likely strip steak cut in half. Had good beef in specialty restaurants. Should not be this way, IMHO. Looking forward to our cruise next month on Divina, in YC.
  12. I agree. We have this cabin booked and have been on other NCL 2 bedroom haven suites. This actually look’s spartan. Having an actual 2nd bedroom with an actual bed is nice. ( others have been sofa bed in hallway to bathroom set up) The space seems very tight and not much of a bar / coffee area. Livingroom sitting area looks extremely small. This is supposed to be a cabin for 6. Everyone would be on top of each other, IMHO. We were in 2 bdrm on Bliss and I could hardly get around bed. Had 10 inches between bed and wall. I guess they really do not want us to spend any time in our cabin .😟
  13. I agree . If we ever find we are on the same cruise with you, I will gladly buy you both a drink and toast your style. 🥂
  14. Thanks so much for this information. Helps the rest of us who don’t play tables. I guess I need to stop playing the “ cheap” slots.🙄
  15. It depends when you are sailing. From MSC site… you book between 9-12 months before departure, guests receive an extra 5% discount + 50€/$ Onboard Credit (Silver, Gold, Diamond).
  16. On our MSC cruises, the only time we were allowed to have dinner in our RS was when seas were very rough. DH could not make it to YC dining room, could not maintain his balance. I went up and asked if I could get 2 entrees to go. Hostess took order and contacted our Butler . He brought it to cabin. We did have breakfast delivered every morning. ( from Room service menu)
  17. So are we….see you onboard! Should be a great itinerary as it is a repositioning cruise. Mini bar is included just no more mini bottles. You have choice of large bottle from list for entire cruise. As mentioned, one time snacks gratis. We sailed last fall and the food in YC was very good.
  18. Morpheus, thanks again for a great cruise report. Always enjoy your point of view and inquiring mind. Good info for the rest of us. Agree, always need a cruise to look forward to.
  19. First, we all want to know what you were playing at the Casino? 😉 And, any tips for the rest of us?
  20. I guess it depends on the waters ship is sailing. This has happened to us, sometimes.
  21. Agree with Hank. Since you are past final payment…. call MSC and ask how much to upgrade your booking to deluxe suite. Tell them you want to see what the amount is before deciding to upgrade. If agent seems to know their stuff, go with them . If they seem confused, HUCA. Good luck and enjoy your cruise.
  22. Your OBC can be used to pay your DSC . MSC allows this use. Book excursions onboard. Also, you can go to casino and play slots and then cash out. Put amount on machine from your onboard account . For example, we put $150 on slot machine from onboard account. Then play a few times, then hit Cash Out button. Next day, go to Cashier with voucher from machine and get cash. Rinse and repeat. Just keep track when casino is open. Normally it will not be open in port or last night of cruise. We use the cash for our YC tips to Staff.
  23. NCL has also listed the Square footage for these cabins as this. No indication of possible obstructed view for those next to slides. NCL seems to add balcony to square footage of cabin. Not sure I would say it is misleading but an accurate breakdown would be helpful. They feature two bedrooms, one king-size bed, one queen-size bed, a double sofa bed, two bathrooms with jetted showers and a large balcony to gather together and enjoy the beautiful views or snuggle under the stars. 24. I’m special toooooo! 😁 I have had cabins changed without notice. Had same cabin for B2B and MSC changed the one for second week. TA to the rescue. Had cruise cancelled without notice. No email . Someone on our RollCall noticed they could not access excursions for our cruise. It was no longer on MSC site. When I looked at my bookings, there was a new cruise listed for us. New itinerary, new date and different ship. WOW. Cruise fare stayed the same. Problem, we had a 14 day cruise that was now a 7 day cruise. TA cancelled for us . I know I need to always check our bookings online just as I do with airline bookings. There are always changes. As has been posted repeatedly…. use a TA.
