We had same experience last November. In Miami, they were moving ships around and that day it was different Terminal for MSC. They had to set up and get ready for guests to come on in. YC tents were up in parking lot but no staff around. We waited for about an hour. Arrived at 10:30. Held again inside as they did not know where to take us for YC check in. Obviously, patience was the order of the day. Held again in YC lounge area. Finally onboard and had lunch YC Grill.

Well this morning the second email came with YC preferences for second guest in cabin. It seems we will end up with 2 bottles of liquor. I like No1talks suggestion that they had staff sign bottle as their souvenir.

We embark on our cruise in a week on the Divina. Just received email from MSC. It appears they are starting a pre cruise concierge type service . First time we have received this. Hope you are able to get out. YVR should have great weather. We have been having high 70's and sun. No rain this summer. Should warn you about Ketchikan . NCL built their own port ( 8 miles away) and you have to take bus into Ketchikan now. Be aware of cut off time for bus. Ours was 9:30am and many did not make it into town because of that. Watching the news of approaching storm and Areas in Florida announcing state of emergency for next week. Has anyone received news from MSC regarding changes to either their Miami or Port Canaveral cruises?

Since you are currently sailing….quick question. How has the recent hurricane activity in Caribbean affected your cruise ? I see that Florida / Miami area are under state of emergency , due to incoming storms.

This is how we felt about the Pearl. She was designed for Seattle and Alaska. Dale Chihuly contributed art for ship. we sailed every year to Alaska on our anniversary. It felt like our home away from home. We knew every “secret” most passengers are not aware of. Became friends with HD Prem and Cary. It was so sad when NCL decided to bring mega ships into Seattle. Port had to be rebuilt for large ships. When we sailed on the Bliss….realized how much we missed the Pearl. That is about the time we started sailing MSC. It is our new love..when we are onboard…. Next month we sail Divina for first time. Really looking forward to this size ship and experience.

The $50 OBC for Silver and up has been effect since MSC resumed cruising last year. Many VC benefited from that. I am sure many assumed it would always be awarded when booking a cruise. Once occupancy increased, MSC revamped the VC program. Now, OBC only on bookings made 9+months in advance.

Well with MSC, anything is possible. Our last cruise ( November) was b2b. Two booking numbers etc. Two deposits. We did get $50 OBC for each week. The points should have been 2 x YC (5-9 nts) 1,500. So, 3,000 points We received 1500 total. If they combined weeks ( 15 nts) we should have 2,000 for that. Repeated emails resulted in MSC saying we received correct points. We gave up, not worth the hassle. Our cruise next month is 12 nts and double points (offer when we booked last year) So, we should get 2x 2000 points for this one. I saved email from TA which confirms he had to have MSC supervisor add double points and our OBC to booking. Nowhere on our booking does it show double points to be applied.

Took a couple of days for booking to show on our MSC account online. Took another day for OBC to show up under cruise details. One for each of us. We are both Diamond.

Testing requirementsFor vaccinated Guests it’s not required (but strongly recommended) to present a negative test.Unvaccinated guests ages 5 or older and Guests who have only recovered from Covid-19 are not considered as fully vaccinated therefore are required to present a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR or Antigen test taken 3 days prior to embarkation.Tests must be laboratory certified. A rapid antigen self-test is not valid for travel purposes.All guests are recommended to travel with their COVID-19 vaccination status and test results. While the vaccination is not required for boarding it could be requested in various ports of call and at local attractions.The original test results certificate and vaccination certificate must be presented at the terminal (paper or electronic format) and must be in one of the following languages: English, Italian, German, French or Spanish. I think OP is sailing Preziosa to Northern Europe. in that case, one needs full vaccination ( 2+boosters he has qualifies) and PCR or Antigen Covid test that is lab monitored with printed result. Test must be taken within 2 days of sailing. COVID-19 TEST REQUIREMENTS: All guests 2 years & older must show proof of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR or antigen test taken no more than 2 days before embarkation. Guests must bring the valid negative test certificate with them to the terminal.The original test results certificate or vaccination or recovery certificate must be presented at the terminal (paper or electronic format) and must be in one of the following languages: English, Italian, German, French or Spanish. Divina Cabin Balcony 8109 is deluxe balcony cabin with PARTIAL view. It is also a connecting cabin, which may get noise from the other cabin. Deck plans show lifeboats on Deck 7 . So, lifeboats one deck below your balcony.
