  1. I just laugh at the marketing hustle job and let it slide off my back. PCL is not alone in this BS stuff. But it is added value for the newbie walking in the door and looking at all the shiny baubles.
  2. Maybe it is more hope than anything else, but logic would indicate that the original mini-bar swap should be free. Of course this only matters for guests who book Standard like I do. It's part of our benefit and not specifically a RS order. Sometimes I can get it headed off by calling RS soon after boarding and put the order in (it's one of my first to-do's as I think it is sad they are making double trip for a lot of people who don't want the default. If I was running IT, it would be in the App and appear for Elite and Suite guest to select their options pre-cruise.
  3. Never seen that before. Must be something weird going on or they were just pinging your credit card for authorization in order to make sure they would be covered at voyage end for final billing.
  4. Same issue exists on Premier plan for the SD credits. You get 2 per voyage booked. Lots of folks not happy there - and I agree - that it isn't fair to get 2 visits on a 6/7 night voyage and the same on a 22-nighter (could be a physical 22 nights and not a combo. How about a World Cruiser for 111+ nights and only getting 2 visits period? Time will tell if this ever changes.
  5. It technically is a B2B2B because of the fact that your 21-nights is a combination of the three 7-nighters. One issue - thus far - is that the new casual dining benefit is supposedly only going to apply once for folks with limited visits.
  6. Who knows if more will opt out and make for less demand" I do know if I paid the $15 fee and got that service, I'd be at GS asking to be refunded and I would get my own in future. Unfortunately, I don't think those on a package are going to get a rebate for lousy (meaning not timely) service.
  7. Yes, a blanket statement about not caring about loyalty is a lot of horse-wacky. Find me one cruiseline exec that doesn't want their new customer to come back and sail again. Of course, they want repeat business. To give the poster (@kywildcatfanone) a bit of rope here, the idea was that Princess doesn't care so much about the long-term customer who is frugal with their cruise vacations and mostly use the ship as a hotel room and partake of the included items with no extra spending. Now, they aren't going to say anything publicly, but I bet that same exec would prefer a repeat big-spender.
  8. I wouldn't even think of asking/expecting a share when my wife is having lobster. Even Princess lobster - LOL.
  9. Hmmm. I would have thought you could get into the second voyage using Name, BD, Booking Confirmation. Last year we had B3B on Regal and a separate voyage on Island with a five day gap. I could access Island booking always. Of course the three on Regal always came up together no matter which Booking Number used. I thought you would be find if you forced the web version to have you login and not automatically go. All I can do is SMH every time I read of these persistent bugs that IT cannot seem to fix - or they fix something and break something else.
  10. Maybe you should consider looking around elsewhere as well as the BB can be beaten. That said, no agency should ever be trying to sell you a voyage at a higher cost than Princess charges.
  11. Not that I am interested in the BB Travel Center, but I do not understand how any agency would be selling a cruise voyage for a higher price than Princess' list price. Is it possible that the quote you are getting from the BB is with your Princess profile not present, so you are not seeing the best possible fare for your profile? Whereas, on Princess.com, you are no doubt logged in and then you should be seeing the best price for you.
  12. And, unlike the ones they had/have in The Sanctuary, each half of the back section moves independently. I will be looking for these next time we might be on one of these ships. I'd be happy with Sapphire if it is doing AK when we decide to go.
  13. Well, you know this forum. Some newbies are going to expect the door to open like those ones at stores and other public buildings either from body detection or tapping a blue wheelchair logo.
  14. Yes - and all good features. I just don't understand why you aren't doing it yourself. Not sure why TA has not encouraged this as they make zilch from booking airfare.
  15. EZ-Air doesn't pick your flight. Just like searching for flights on a 3rd party site or with an airline, it shows you available flights for the destinations and dates entered and YOU select the one you want and also class of service. Depending on airline and class of service booked, you can do seat selection right in EZ-Air. You can also shop your favorite airline site and see what their prices are, but you will be locked in (unless you buy full-fare tickets). With EZ-Air you can continue to check prices and re-book if there is a price drop up to 45 day mark or so when Princess tickets it. You cannot beat that feature.
  16. Location and noise/motion if ship is departing during dinner. Probably not so bad near the entrance, but have always preferred the mid-ship DR's. We have not had an aft cabin either.
  17. The poster is American. UK rules do not apply.
  18. Different ships and different DR Mgmt may be handling things in different ways. The important thing is that they need and ought to be offering this for guests that want it. That said I would be disappointed if that was the only DR to get it in. Was there also a set DR used for walk-ups?
  19. Sounds like the TA wanted you to think she was doing you a big favor. The FCD from the cancelled booking is re-used for the new booking, so you earn the same OBC. What you need to be aware of is if your FCD has expired at the time you cancel and re-book. If so, the date needs to be extended first. The other OBC is FCC and upon cancelling, it would go back to your CC Member account. UNLESS... it too had expired by the time you were looking to re-book. In that case it would require an intervention by someone at PCL in order to not lose it. As for the remark about the old 3FF promotion, the same thing applies today. If guest books a cruise using a certain sales promotion and then wants to re-fare, if that Promo Fare Code is no longer valid, then any perks that came with that fare are lost upon cancel and when re-booking you are subject to the current offers. So, a guest needs to be aware of the NET different in fares when seeking to re-book and take into consideration the value of the perks.
  20. How much are you saving with a single "logical" booking? As things stand, you need two bookings to get the extra SD credits. You will get two mini-bars for the Suite booking either way. I suppose it makes more difference with a Plus package since it has more limited extras, whereas Premium is mostly unlimited. Two SD credits are worth $78 USD max so if the pp cruise fare difference is saving you more than that, not much point to switch. PCL current policy is that the SD credits are per booking.
