  1. I believe that the food quality was somewhat lacking on Regal in Europe last summer/fall and hope that it is better now. There was a noticeable difference when we switched ships to Island on Oct 31.
  2. Salty Dog there too. And looks like Crab Shack, Planks, Steamers are ramping up. I'd hold off on final judgment.
  3. A thriving business always wants to find new customers, regardless of what the legacy ones are doing. If they are jumping ship, then there is a problem somewhere because it indicates the new ones may not stick around long. Just a general comment and not aimed at any particular business.
  4. No, you have not. PCL is not allowing guest to select desired table size. Speak to DR Host or Mgmt on night 1 and let them know your preference. Note that sharing these days will generally mean different other guests every night.
  5. Is this a new feature I am reading about for the first time because DMW has not allowed guests to select table size.
  6. You are forgetting about the pool of gratuity funds which gets distributed to crew on top of wages by some system or method we are not privy to, but job performance is a factor in at least some of the amount.
  7. Princess may never change the standard provided check-in timeframe in the Travel Summary. Experienced guests know that check-in opens much earlier as well as boarding the ship.
  8. It sounds like the new boarding pass page in the App may not be working quite yet, or it won't work for very near term voyages after the software update.
  9. She is full of malarkey. Crew is not on fixed wages.
  10. Sure, but GL in the scramble with everyone else to get SD reservations for those free meals.
  11. I was going to "like" your post, but I do not like this one bit. It is a terrible way to implement this benefit and terribly unfair to guests who book long voyages and are spending more to do that.
  12. About all they can do is fall back to their escape clause of being able to make any change anytime.
  13. If you use a TA, see what they can do. This possible system bug has been reported and discussed recently in more than one thread. I have yet to read anyone report as to whether this is deliberate by PCL or a system bug related to the change to market GTY lead-in category with Non-Refundable Deposits. You could try calling Princess, but get a CVP and not any phone rep, and ask them what is going on. I wish someone running into your problem had reported any response from Princess. A workaround is to add a third person and then cancel them out later on.
  14. I'd call it a mirage. Besides, all that is needed is the $60/pp/day add-on and not a re-fare.
  15. Were they a nice couple? Just because we see the printed t-shirt doesn't mean they are hogs and leave chairs empty all day. In the photo, they are with the chairs afterall.
  16. Princess makes up the difference in CA. You still get Medallion Net. Presume you are talking about $40 Plus. If guest wants to upgrade, cost is $20/pp/day. Otherwise, pay for anything not included.
  17. Right and that is why I mentioned to preserve it. The lift and shift term is a good one and illustrative.
  18. IMO, you should get total of 6 visits as you would if booked separately. And both ways pay about the same dollars anyway. Other things do reset, but I don't think there is a definitive answer yet. They did say you pay one $15 Ocean Now fee, whereas the guest booking 3 X 7-night voyages B2B2B would have to pay the $15 each week. That rubs me the wrong way and who knows if ot will stick in practice? I kind of suspect an IT shortcoming because the reset to a new booking probably means too hard for them to stop the 2nd and 3rd charge. I imagine some guests will complain and we will find out if they get the charge reversed.
  19. No. It waa jusr some light humor based on exaggeration. I never for a moment thought you actually dipped cookies in ketchup and I am sure no one else did either. Or, am I taking you too seriously here in the reply?
  20. We are collectively a small percentage of PCL customer base, but mighty in our impact. Do I regret not getting them at 90%? No, because I would have had money tied up for a potential long time for 2%. Hope it stays there for when we do book a cruise again. Next stop is likely 5%. We shall see. Happy for all the folks who saved good money off their voyages.
  21. You can ask. Technically, the answer is no. But typically you can do one extra per member. Probably good if an elderly family member.
  22. Yes, all the old posts are irrelevant since the whole process is changed and software is changed. Whole new boarding pass page in the App. PCL is saying they are simplifying the check-in "lanes". Green Lane is all advance things completed and Medallion in hand (shipped). Blue Lane is No Medallion even if all info is completed, plus missing info folks. Seems dumb to me, but that is what they announced. Also, a Gray lane for special needs guests.
  23. They were doing it last Fall!! IDK when it restarted, but quite long time now.
