  1. I could agree if you are including suits or jackets & ties. But tuxes are definitely a minority.
  2. Huh? Don't understand. Formal tuxes and such have been a minority for years.
  3. That's the beauty of Princess. Guests are welcome to go with the finery, or something less.
  4. Low battery perhaps. You could have gone to PSD (Passenger Services) and got a replacement. Just saying so others know who may not know.
  5. It's a "live from" if you can post each day. Post cruise is a Trip Report. At least that's the way I see it.
  6. Just logged in as each of us in turn and no messages popped up.
  7. It does seem odd that an email from Princess (does it not come from Princess?) ends up in many people's junk/spam folder when we receive lots of other emails from Princess. I can say in the past (pre-C-19) that we always received the survey without issue.
  8. All three DR's are very similar. Same service level, same menu, etc. If you have looked at the deck plans on Princess.com, you will know that they are located at Mid-Ship Deck 6, Aft Deck 6, and Mid-Ship Deck 5. One difference is that a section of the Deck 6 Mid-Ship is set aside for Club Class dining. You will find table sizes from 2-top to 10-top in all DR's. If you are eating on variable times each day, you can ask at the door for private or sharing. You may have to wait longer for a private table, depending on timing and demand when you show up. You can book a table ahead of time using the MC App (DineMyWay feature). You can also do this using the cabin TV. No DR is better than the other with the exception of location. Some like the aft DR is their cabin is towards end of ship. Those with cabins more forward most likely prefer the mid-ship DR's due to proximity.
  9. Technically, it's really mass-produced wine using average or lower-end grapes from harvest. Any low quality wine that is typically not aged and often doesn't display much character of the grapes or type of wine on the label. Think boxed and other large formats as prime examples. Actually, you can also find plonk type reds that spent time in barrels and oak used to cover up shortcomings in the fruit. There can be well-made wine that is also good value and may not be all that expensive compared to other options for same type of wine. Certain areas of the world provide better value than, say, better brands from California or France as examples.
  10. If you do hotspot, you have to be in proximity. As stated above, you can each login using the same credentials, but just one-at-a-time if only purchasing a single plan. If you really all have little usage, then have one person by a 4-device plan and each couple agrees they will only have one of the couple login at any one time so that every couple will have access whenever they want. But, since that would be very cost effective and possibly annoying and inconvenient, why not do what we do when sailing with our friends? Buy a 4-device plan for 4 people and each person has their own login without kicking anyone else out. Note that one 4-device plan is the same cost as two 1-device plans.
  11. Club Class dining, which is located in the Deck 6 Mid-Ship DR and is restricted to guests in Suites and designated Club Class Mini-Suites. It is setup for "on demand" dining (Anytime - you just show up and be seated). ETA: https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/food-and-dining/club-class-dining/
  12. If I do not get a survey contact this October/November, I will write CR. I also plan to try and get a ship-side email address for the PSD on both ships so I can email them as well.
  13. Another factor in this (and please tell me if wrong in your situation), is DMW seems to be loaded only with 2 of 3 DR's and the third one is never loaded, or not until on board. There should be plenty of seating to get what you want, but the App is useless at trying to allocate and provide it. I had Private table space until we re-fared bookings sometime back and then only had Split option available after that. At the time, there was only ONE DR available in DMW. More recently, Princess added a second DR< so I switched our res into that one to secure Private space again. Still no 3rd DR with under three months to go.
  14. Sorry, but I do not like the Sanctuary much on Royal Class as there is just too much direct/indirect sun. Hard to get shade (very few locations). Much prefer Crown/Grand Class for this. But I do like time there on sea days for sure.
  15. Yes, this wording is correct. I have done this for a B2B2B in the past and NP. Just charged up for the rest of it (24 - 6). As things played out, I never did have to end up paying for the "free" ones.
  16. It used to be at T2 in PE. Not sure if layout has changed since C-19.
  17. I applaud you with keeping us informed. If I spent this much time on our voyage posting, I'd be getting the stink-eye at least.
  18. Not that I am familiar with all airlines, but I am not aware of an airline that charges a fee to re-book when THEY cancel on you. Now, I suppose once ticketed, you really need to work with that airline, whereas if not yet ticketed, then a different airline might be a better itinerary option using EZ-Air personnel. So, that is part of the risk of early ticketing, but you can also check how your airline is doing with the same flights on the same route using their Flight Status option and you get a sense of reliability. In my case, I am not too worried as the airlines are getting the international flights off and it's mostly domestic getting cancelled left, right, and center.
  19. Where? Link please. (FORGET IT - I was creating responses as I was catching up several pages of this thread and I see you referred someone to Post #2). ETA #2: I do note the provided wine list is only the WBTG selections and none of the bottle-only selections. Hard to know the changes there. I do agree this is a dumbing down of WBTG whether one is on the PLUS or not. Makes no difference. It's an insult to anyone looking at the two sections and it's like belittling to a guest to order from the lower price list. And just what is the "Red Blend"? Most bartenders won't have a clue and there are a lot of possible red blends out there. Princess has just de-elevated and undone what they did some years back. I wonder if they have undergone a whole label revolution again as when the current/recent wine list was introduced? I do have to think - with seeing booze prices staying steady and posters confirming - that there seems to be an all-out assault in the wine area and they had to do something to create a Premier level out of thin air so to speak. I am interested to see the new formal wine list as I wonder if they just didn't slash out the lower to mid end and replace with new plonk and then move most of the rest to Premier level by boosting prices for both glass and bottles. Now I being to wonder how long the recent move to $20 corkage fee will last before another bump up? (Perish the thought). ETA: Another clue to this is the reports of many listed wines being out of stock, so a general turnover seems to have been in the works with lack of replenishment. And I suppose they could place blame on supply chain and Covid, etc. Who knows for sure? ETA: I see you did post a referral to the link.
  20. Now who's gonna order pink in a biker bar?
  21. Wow!! 16 pours from 750 ml????!!! Don't let me anywhere near a wine bar you are pouring at!!! LOL. <EDITED - I see you were corrected much earlier than my post, but I couldn't resist>
  22. There is another choice. BYOW for $20/btl corkage. It has been my habit and these changes by PCL simply encourage it for vinophiles.
  23. I have requested early ticketing in the past - even before FP Date - in order to do seat selection. We have business flights to and from Europe for this Fall. Both ways have 1 stop. On one leg, we cannot make seat selection as yet and I know it requires ticketing. Not my first choice of airline (BA), but the deal was just way too good to pass up. I am pretty sure I am going to ask for early ticketing on that one (keeping an eye on the available unassigned seats).
