  1. Interesting. First time hearing that. Thanks for the correction. Will be nice to hear one day if other ships doing the same since we are always reading about inconsistencies.
  2. Answer is the same for all ships. The mid-ship DR's are generally the same in decor, with the aft DR often somewhat different. All three have same menu and service level for dinner. One will be open for breakfast. Same one will be open for lunch on sea days.
  3. It can take a day or so for the App to reflect changes made to bookings in POLAR. That said, you still may not find DMW working well. Many posters recommend using the web version of the App to access and book using DMW (Dine My Way).
  4. Yes, it's menu items cost a la carte or prix fix option. Plus cruise fare guests can visit 2X per voyage free for any of the casual dining locations. Unlimited visits for Premier.
  5. But they do rotate the staff periodically.
  6. I guess we agree to disagree. I think it is unfair for a guest to block multiple small tables as an effort to get in the door. I recall a post where the poster was contemplating booking three tables. Maybe the restaurant should seat people trying this separately. There is no guarantee a 6-top will be available to swap to.
  7. So, only those who book way early, book Suites, or are Elite or Platinum would get a chance at a lounger. Pretty much the way it is now if you sub early arriver at terminal for early booker. Nothing is going to help those who do not have priority boarding on a Caribbean voyage.
  8. He already stated he couldn't make 5. He was going to book a 2 and a 3, but obviously someone else in the party would have to make the second.
  9. I interpreted that as one time per person because a guest could print out multiple sets of coupons and try to use each day. News to me that each guest receives a set and they have to play RPS to decide who gets which coupons ... in theory.
  10. I don't see how it would work as one per person when each gets a set.
  11. No. I am very certain it is a cruise day and not a random 24-hr cycle based on when you sign up.
  12. Whenever we had the coupon books, they were there for both of us to use. Somehow, I find it hard to think they changed that when going paperless, but PCL rarely misses a chance to take something away quietly and hope no one notices.
  13. Hi. At least a couple of us would be in your debt if you spot JP (aka Mickey Mouse guy) on your ship and ask him why oh why isn't PCL banning smoking in casinos when obvious majority of guests do not want the indoor smoking area.
  14. Post the Q on her Live From. I had no idea the big boss on her ship. Might not be for long.
  15. PCL is infamous for their obtuse wording of policies when it could be stated in simpler, clearer terms. Perhaps someone thought it necessary to restrict a theoretical guest who might be occupying more than one stateroom???
  16. This is just another example of the Ivory Tower not wanting to offend or turn off guests. But clearly, they have been on the wrong side of this for ages now - catering to a minority while offending a majority that perhaps only makes noise here and not enough noise to be heard at HQ? It seems dead simple to make the call, so it would take a direct question to an exec to ask them. If anyone ever sees a HQ exec on a ship, pin them down on it.
  17. It would was very likely sold out more than two hours earlier.
  18. When coupon booklets are issued by a TA with a booking, they go to each person (at least first two guests). Each person has the coupon to use. Wording is quite clear to me.
  19. Why are you questioning this when it clearly states one coupon per person?
  20. Wouldn't surprise me if they share at least some IT resources. They are spending for certain - just poorly done like someone on high is clueless about quality IT.
  21. Disagree with the premise. They will make money regardless as there isn't another casino in the next block that allows smoking. Captive audience and smokers are plenty used to not being able to smoke in public places by now. More and more land casinos don't allow it for gaming tables.
  22. Maybe they will grow a spine and change things on the Sun.
