Sorry Cliff-I meant a day pass for the public bus. Years ago we could buy a pass but we have never cruised to Hawaii so just not quite sure if there is a close by location to buy a day pass for the public bus. Yes we have $1,$5 $10 bills etc but just not coins which if we need $1.25 exact change I assume guest services might have coins 🤷‍♀️

Can you buy a day pass somewhere close to the ship for seniors? We won’t have change (unless ship will)

I personally would not think this is enough time as you’ll have to clear customs. Although Montreal airport is smaller I just would not trust you’d have enough time.

Thanks Cliff. We used to go often to Honolulu but haven’t been in probably 20 years. I’m just not sure how far places are to walk from where our ships docks but maybe will find out when on the ship soon and decide to book something or wing it like we planned. We’ve been to all the major sites in the past including Pearl Harbour etc. We are seniors from Canada and don’t do Uber etc. It’s either walk if not too far or bus.

We are getting on as you get off. Can you tell me where you purchased the passes for the HOHO bus? Is it on line or close to where the ship docks? It sounds like something we’d like to do as we have no set plans for Honolulu. Thank you.

I totally agree. We used to buy HAL CFAR when we had elderly parents etc and would buy it before final payment. I don’t understand either when we have a refundable deposit why we’d have to buy it so far in advance.

OK…we make cream puffs filled with custard so I may not like the whipped cream type filling. Thank you for the info.

So yours was also a hassle & you had to get guest services to credit it.

Because it’s a PIA for most. Perhaps there should be a tutorial posted until users are used to this new method.
