  1. on my previous canada cruises, the room steward collects it or you can bring it to the drop off box by guest services. its just a formality thing that needs to be done. it does not effect getting off the ship when the ship arrives
  2. on all of my canada cruises i always had to fill out the form. it would be nice if they was a digital version of those..like do it from the a website or something like that.
  3. it depends on how the travel agent obtains the onboard credit if they purchase it as a gift from like the funshop/carnival website it is usually refundable if it is perk as a bonus for booking a cruise, it is non refundable
  4. Ship tracking website MarineTraffic shows the Breeze is docked at Galveston today, Vista is off the coast at sea and will be docking later this afternoon and Freedom is docked at Port Canaveral

  7. Saint Greg posted the fun times for the transatlantic cruise the fun times does not show any Chinese food at the shack. for lunch it shows the shack having the same paid options

  10. i cruise with a battery operated fan. it does not plug in. when i cruised on the oasis last month out of NJ, security told me to take it out of my bag for them to inspect the fan. very strange
  11. is there a way to get to stop calling? I have 4 future cruises booked. whenever i log into my ncl account to check my bookings by the next day or so they calling me asking me when i want to book another cruise

  14. usually typically around 6-9 months from sail date is when all of the shore excursions for all ports is added to the planner
  15. its because they are new and may not have a vifp account created. you can create a vifrp account before the cruise by creating a account on the carnival website and then add the number to the booking.
  16. not unique to carnival, other cruise lines do have the same thing. all cruise lines is at the mercy for the local tour operator and what times they want to run the tours last month i did a cruise on royal. i found out on embarkation day with a letter that the times of 2 tours i had booked had a time change. a morning tour became an afternoon tour and another tour was shifted by 2 hours

  19. this happens when royal changes the cabin category on stateroom. nothing happens on the ship, the only changes is in the back end and of course higher prices for a cabn..a balcony cabin that used to be say 8C category will now be a 8A and so on
  20. all cruise lines is cutting back on room stewards and assigning them double the work. i notice it on all my previous on all major cruise lines
  21. yes. you will need to contact ncl directly or your travel agent to add the correct promo codes for the extra points to your booking
  22. its disappointing that cruise lines is reducing public space on a ship and then adding in new cabin. Ships was never designed for these additional people and will make ship feel more crowded
  23. the service charges that is 20 per person per day is for the room steward, housekeeping and other people. this is standard upon all cruise lines and each cruise line calls it different names the free at sea gratuity is two complete separate things. there is one gratuity for the drink package and one gratuity for the dinning package. The package in itself it is "free" but the gratuity is not and you need to pay for at the time of booking
