  9. LaGuardia airport is the closest airport, JFK is also nearby. You could also fly into Newark in New Jersey but taxi/cabs/ubers can be expensive when crossing the state line There is multiple cruise ports in the NYC area, Carnival always docks at the Manhattan cruise terminal located at 711 12th ave
  10. Havensight from what i noticed over the years, Crown Bay is exclusive for Royal Caribbean branded ships

  12. the upgrades is done by a third party company on behalf of NCL, your status is meaningless. depending on the strength of the bid, it can be common for the upgrades to be processed a few days before sail date. on my previous cruise it was 2 days before sail date
  13. helicopter transfer can be very risky and it can be not safe depending on the weather. a helicopter also has limited range on how far it can fly. Overall it is much safer for the ship and easier on the person being transported for the ship to return to port, any port
  14. it will be much easier to hail the uber after you clear customs and is outside of the terminal building. they will be lots of ubers in the area. no need to schedule in advance
  15. almost everything onboard the ship is contracted out. shops, spa, art gallery, etc, etc
  16. i have a disability that makes me hate talking to any real person. i prefer if i can do things online somehow that does not need a phone call
  17. on the carnival website: Bringing Liquor and Beverages On Board - Embarkation Guests are prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages that are packaged in glass or plastic bottles. On embarkation day, a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, energy drinks, juice, and milk), packaged in cans or cartons, may be brought on board and must be in the guest's carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12-ounces/354-ml each or less, per person. Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board with the following exception - at the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day only, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring one 750-ml bottle of sealed/unopened wine or champagne, per person, in their carry-on luggage. Outside this exception, all liquor, beer, other forms of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited in both carry-on and checked luggage and such items will be confiscated and discarded and no compensation will be provided. Guests sailing with us on back-to-back cruises are entitled to bring the same quantity as stated in this policy, per cruise. The additional quantities will be stored for safekeeping at the start of the first cruise and will be given to the guest as each following cruise begins.

  19. i agree with this and this is why i never prebook anything that cost money on the website. if other cruise lines like royal and carnival allow you to cancel shore excursions and other things online, why cant norwegian do the same
